No it was a song by Night Ranger (Nice lift of Tom Grummet pencils on that one)
No, I'm pretty sure Mr. Christian was in Mutiny on the Bounty.

He looks like he needs a skope and skin.
~Z23~
I'd have done Captain Klutz a lllooonnnggg time ago if I didn't thnk he would need his own mesh. I'd like to do an Alfred E. Newman, too.
I *completely* second Captain Klutz! I would have requested him sooner, but I couldn't remember his name exactly, and never got around to looking it up.
Defender does look very cool!

Hey, the Justice Force is pretty cool. Not familiar with them. So they are from an upcoming TMNT cartoon, yes? I especially like Tsunami. And the Silver Sentinal and Raptar are pretty cool looking.
Oh and here's an obscure hero I've wanted to post for a while now: K.J. Kolka's Cardinal. The cardinal has been around since the late 70s which Kolka started back when he was in college. Here's some pics:

Wonder Warthog has been done on a modified male hulking mesh, although I unfortunately don't have the name of the author. I can email it to anyone who wants it.
A Crimson Comet is on my list, but not in that exact costume.
Hmmmm...
I did the Grant Mossison version of Marvelboy as a request for someone a while back and he is at my 2nd Yahoo group. He is done without the mask. If you absolutley wanted a masked version I could probablt tweek the skin if you could find me a larger pic to go on. I also do plan to change the hexed mesh to a more appropriat sized scope later on.
As long as were talking about Marvel Boy does anyone know if the astronaut suit version from Agents of Atlas was ever done?
Sorry I couln't find a pic.
I know the Marvel Boy you're talking about. Ask me again in a week.
More obscure heroes obsure group The Inferior Five so far Merryman an blimp have been done. Anyone know if Awkwardman, White Feather, And Dumb Bunny have been done? :rickbm
(http://i67.photobucket.com/albums/h295/espressogirl57/inferior5.jpg)(http://i67.photobucket.com/albums/h295/espressogirl57/inferior.jpg)
Well they have been started. But as of yet unfinished. Awkwardman is about 90% done.
I'm still trying to work out a way to do Lady Liberty, Merryman's mother. Re-read Foglio's Angel and the Ape mini series and have been thinking of re-doing Power Princess. Have a Sam Simeon, just haven't figured out which mesh to put Angel O'Day on... maybe...
Wish I could draw like Bob Oskner and Wally Wood.
Thanks for all the work you have done no hurry on these :rickbm

Souix City Dynamo did Dynamutt.
I would love to do Blue Falcon, but I don't have the patience to do the skope. If anyone is willing....

The guy saying "Split!" is the mid-60s Captain Marvel, and his skin can be found here:
http://members.tripod.com/originalvigilante2/index.html
Tiny- Man and his "giant" gun made me laugh out loud!
Vigilante also has Tinyman and Atom-Jaw, I believe. I think maybe Elasticman too.
I use the red robot fist SFX for a ranged attack, but I would really LOVE to see a "robot foot" FX.
Wait a minute... Give him Shape Shift, and have the skin on a mesh that is alpha enabled, then let him summon two characters. The base form only show his head and torso, the other two, one show just his legs, the other his arms. then the legs do only kicks and stuff, one that shows only his arms can only punch, the head and torso do a head butt and use his "laser eyes".
Yes, I happen to own that issue.
I did that Captain Marvel too:

Thanks, JK. You have a lot of great obscurities there, and I had somehow missed that Yahoo group.

Working on US Jones. Should start him after I finish a couple of things for Yellow Lantern, and release Yankee Doodle Jones and Dandy, and Yankee Boy.
Cyclone looks like he'd do nice on a Tom Versatile mesh...
US Jones? Sweeeeet!

I love that film more every time I see it.
I'm definitely making the Shoveller at some point..maybe the Blue Raja too.
We need a Mystery Men Mod!
I'm not making it, but we need it. I'm just sayin'
I second the request for the Mistery Men. I'm a fan of this movie too.
yes, it's a very funny movie.
The best character from that movie was done ages ago - THE WAFFLER!
The Blue Tracer would do for a start on The Shoveller, but he has no shovel. Except for The Bowler, there are probably meshes that would fit just about every one of the others. I have an old, mostly completed Captain Amazing that I've been thinking about adapting for a scope with the jets and stuff added.
Thne we would need a Male Suit Longhair for Casanova Frankenstein. We can probalby swing the Disco Boys on Tom Versatile...
More obscure heroes: Mysterymen- Screwball, Strangler, Discman :rickbm

More of the obscure heroes: Skateman, Funnyman, Yankee Doodle Jones, Ecliptico :rickbm

Yankee Doodle Jones and Dandy are at CO3.
If there were a Male Shorts Skates Bandana-thingy mesh, I wold have already done Skate-Man.
Funny Man is on my list, but this is the first time I've seen a good pic of him (so many obscure characters, so little time). Thanks!

I've been working on Wingman off and on since you requested him. There are some things that just aren't the same as the original, and I decided that I just wasn't going to be able to duplicate him exactly, so...
Now I REALLY need to finish the Iron Avengers.
And Kenn X has already done Wonder Man.

more obscure heroes: Red Panda and Flying Squirrel Powers & Tactics: Red Panda was an athletic man with superior hand-to-hand combat skills, and a master hypnotist. In addition, he dabbled in invention, creating Cling Boots that used static electricity to stick to walls, and leap great distances. He also invented Flying Squirrel's gliding costume.
During the war, Panda Division also provided Red Panda with various devices, including the Ventriloquilizer, which allowed him to throw his voice; the Zap Gun, a miniaturized (for the period) electric bolt thrower; and Manlinite 990, a formula that gave superhuman strength and speed for twenty minutes, though it could only be used once every three days.
Red Panda relied heavily on his fists, though he enjoyed using his hypnotic powers to create illusions in the minds of his enemies.
The Red Panda's sidekick was Flying Squirrel, secretly his female chauffeur Kit Baxter. She was also a fine hand-to-hand combatant, who used her ability to glide to great effect in battle. Squirrel's primary weakness was a tendency to become enraged with her opponents, beating them far more than necessary. :rickbm
(http://i67.photobucket.com/albums/h295/espressogirl57/Red-Panda-Background-pg-2a.jpg)
I gotta look these up.
By the way, Hornet, I have Giant Boy, Hornet-Man, and Radar-Sonar man in the works. Who knows, one day I may get all of the Dial H heroes done.

So THAT"S what Nelvana looks like. She's Snowbird's mother, you know (or at least she once was). Atomic Robot has done the Batman of Planet X (Zur-En-Ar).
And I intend to do Red Panda and Flying Squirrel, as soon as I finish a whoooooooole bunch of Harvey Heroes...

What I was thinking about is that my Micro Face is on a TV mesh, so un-hiding the guns and a little re-coloring and
Shazam! instant Voice. And here I see looking him up all the other Voic-es from the Golden Age...

Wraith looks interesting...

Human fly, duke of darkness... yeah, you know the story.
Red Dragon is new to me, though.

Hmmm. That one in green, if you lose the shield, she is dead up in one of Rogues old costumes. Not the most original designs.
She actually has a dedicated mesh at NPI. Meshed by Tommyboy, in the "other meshes" section in meshworks.

I'm pretty sure Sun Girl has been done, along with the female versin of The jaguar. I've never seen Red Ann. She might go on the Miss Masque Versatile scope I'm woriing on, or the female Question scope that someone has in the works.

here is some info on Moonspider: c r e a t e d b y B e n B e l l o t
Real Name: James Avalon
First Appearance: Forte 2000 #140
Base of Operations: Seattle, WA
Occupation: Defense Attorney for the law firm of Archibold, Tanner & Creighton (SVD Division)
Marital Status: Single
Known Relatives: Margaret Avalon (mother, deceased), Terrance Cromwell (father, presumed deceased)
Hair: Not much
Eyes: Brown
Height: 6'0
History: James Avalon?s true name is James Avalon Cromwell. He is the son of Margaret Avalon and Terrance Cromwell AKA the ?Supervillian? (at least by London standards) Killroy. When his father was brought to justice and sentenced to life in prison, James was able to visit his father one last time. The one thing that stuck with James after their conversation is that his father claimed that his own attorney put up a ?token? defense against the British Anti-Super law and the other charges.
Margaret left England and settled in Seattle, Washington. She dropped the last name of Cromwell, and had herself and her son obtain US citizenship with the last name of Avalon. James never saw his father again, and heard rumors that his father died in prison. Margaret was excited when James earned a scholarship to Stanford (the Harvard of the West Coast). Unfortunately, Margaret never got to see her son graduate from law school as she died of lung cancer a year before he finished.
James was able to secure a defense attorney job at a law firm in Seattle, and found a mentor in elder Attorney Sebastian Chambers. Like James, Sebastian was a London native who migrated to Seattle. He offered James a position in the firm?s new legal branch that specialized in defending the super criminals. The SVD (Super Villain Defense) branch, as it is known among the co-workers, will always defend the not so common criminals but will ?almost? never take the case of a World Destroying Megalomaniac.
It is at the law firm that James met Constance Dumas, a well meaning but very clumsy legal secretary. James immediately took a liking to her and arranged to have her moved to the SVD branch. She now serves as his personal secretary and confidant. For five years, James worked non-stop in the SVD branch as Sebastian Chambers? legal assistant. One day, James was called into a private meeting with some of the firm?s partners. He was informed that Sebastian, having just returned from a trip to London, had passed away in his sleep. The coroner had determined the cause of death to have been heart failure due to a genetically weak heart muscle.
The partners asked James to act as lead attorney in Sebastian?s outstanding cases, and that he would find all the paperwork in his former bosses? office. As James was going through the mounds of paperwork?Constance offered to help but James politely refused?he discovered that Sebastian had left a large package addressed to James (apparently Sebastian had been very aware of the limited time he had on earth) because it was dated the day of his arrival back from England.
James opened the package and found a silver mask in the shape of a spider. There were also several handwritten notes from Sebastian all addressed to James. They went into great detail about the mask and its abilities. Sebastian had set up the SVD to be a vast wealth of information about the criminal element. Secret information that in the right hands could be put to good use. Sebastian had chosen James to be the one to decide on how that information could be used and what action could be taken without violating the trust between the client and their defense attorney.
Moonspider was born that night.
Two years later, Moonspider found himself teaming up with members of Forte 2000 in a search for an escaped client of his, and became part of the ?second wave? of the new incarnation of Forte.
Powers and Abilities: All of Moonspider?s abilities come from the mysterious mask that he inherited. Its origins and workings are still unknown to him. The mask imbues him with heightened strength, speed and toughness, making him extremely agile, strong, and an extraordinary fighter. The mask also shoots a beam of energy that can wreak havoc on unsuspecting prey. Moonspider uses this in conjunction with his extensive knowledge of villains and the law to be a formidable force for justice.
Personality: James is a pragmatic man who believes in the law...and knows how to use it. A firm believer in the rights of the accused, he uses all his legal knowledge in the defense of his clients...even if some on the "right" side of the law find it distasteful or infuriating. He's a sharp and creative thinker, and is passionate about what he does. While he doesn't see things in terms as black and white as some in the hero field, he does believe, above all, in what is fair, just and right...even if that opinion doesn't always agree with the majority. His profession, and especially his particular specialty within it, has given him a vast body of contacts on both sides of the law. The duality of his profession (villain lawyer) and his calling (super-hero) is not lost on him, and has created something of a dual life, if not personality, for him. As a lawyer, he's often maligned by the very super-heroes that he works with when he dons the mask, but as Moonspider, he's a trusted hero known for his dedication to keeping the city safe and bringing criminals to justice.

Hey Panther Gunn if by classic you mean GA there is a skin over at Vigilante's site, and I'm pretty sure that Airwave II has been done by KS Saint, but I can't remember in which of his 10 or so yahoo groups it's at.
I've been trying to figure out whether to do a scope for Martan and his wife, or just use a couple of Tommy's meshes.

Copper Age did Red Rube, and I think Vigilante did (Alias) The Spider. I did Black Orchid (just posted her at CO5 in the past week or so), and am working on Scarlet Nemesis. Haven't decided what to do about the headlight yet.
Phantasm looks like he might be one of Phantasmo's alternate costumes. If so, he's at CO5 too.

Merry and Black Angel have been done, I just don't remember by who. Magicman, along with a version of Nemesis is at CO1.
The Moth looks really bizarre.
For some reason I think Rusty and his pal may have been done...
I know Bearded has done a snake, a spider, and a penguin, and for monsters and aliens, there are a lot skins that can pass for monstrous beings.

Thanks for the links and skins everyone has made. They have added a lot of variety to the characters. It takes a lot of hard work to skin and mesh characters and I appreciate all the work you have put in. Hopefully everyone else is enjoying the Obscure Heroes. :rickbm

Fantax has been done, again I don't remember by who (Phantom Stranger?). I've done both Mr. Muscles and that version of Captain Wizard (Copper Age did his other two costumes).
I second Black Beetle. If someone would help me work out a cape I'll handle the skope. A secondary Skin would be great for my silver scarab charater

Captain Wizard is at Character Obscura III (at least that version; Copper Age did the other two). If I could do 3D editing on a VX mesh in Photoshop, Mad Hatter would have been previewed by now. Crash Kid (the star of Cannonball Comics) is barely started. Never seen Liberty Girl before... Hmmmm... maybe when I finish with Sun Girl.

More Obscure Heroes: War Eagle, Blackout :rickbm

I have done War Eagle, and intend to re-do him since my scoping skills have improved (never happy with the beak), and Blackout is on my list. I still need to finish Bebop and Rock Steady and get my so-called real life in order though.
More Obscure Heroes: Pat Patriot, 13, Capt Ego :rickbm

"13" and his pal Jinx have been done, by Phantom Stranger, I think. While I believe Pat Patriot has been done, I intend to do another one eventually. Haven't seen Captain Ego before...
Captain Ego? Did Nightdragon lose his wings? Oh, wait......it would look exactly the same anyway. :P
Another Obscure Hero: "Meet that Super-Duper Hero... The Wonderful Mr. Wimble!"

The Wonderful Mr. Wimble!
I think I have an electronic copy of that comic...
Ah, yes, I do have that comic. I'm not sure there is an appropriate mesh, although Male Teen 14 comes close....
I'll give it some thought.
