The Tiger: Ben Turner was born in the warring streets of St. Johannesburg, South Africa. At age 8 he watched helplessly as a his mother was brutally robbed and stabbed to death on their way home from the food market. With overwhelming violence surrounding him as he grew, young Ben Turner began to build a resentment towards humanity. With that, he slowly started to become a product of his environment. Reckless, violent, and defiant at school, he was expelled at age 14.
He joined the local gang as a dealer to help his father with the bills. By 19 he had become the gang's leading enforcer with a body count longer then a phone book listing. Fellow gang members dubbed him The Tiger because of his viciousness and physical prowess.
In a coup of the South African drug ring, The Tiger takes control by snapping the neck of St. Johannesburg's kingpin. None stepped up to retaliate. Fear had overcome those who saw the event, and to those who had heard of it. South Africa belonged to The Tiger.
His actions snag the notice of criminal emperor, Ra's Al Ghul. Appreciating Turner's rise to power at a young age, Ra's views him as a potential protege and offers The Tiger a spot in his empire. Years of training and missions have many believing he is the best hand to hand combatant in the world. Not even the Batman has bested him in sparring sessions.

Justice League: Superman
(http://img370.imageshack.us/img370/5001/ultsupermanjn5.jpg)
Superman: The coming of Darkseid was something the Kryptonians arrogantly thought they could defy. Darkseid had conquered, controlled, and enslaved 37% of the known universe according to Kryptonian intelligence. No society, culture, or species had ever stopped his brutal expansion. But the Kryptonians thought they stood a chance with their superior technology.
Kryptonian citizens Jor-El and Lara Lor-Van did not show the same confidence as the rest of their species. Paranoia and fear had overcome their senses. Prior to Darkseid and his armada's arrival, the couple shot their son, Kal-El, off into space within a small ship. The hope of their son living a peaceful life was their final thought before being incinerated by orbital strikes. The coming of Darkseid had cost the Kryptonians dearly. Most were killed, few escaped, and the rest were enslaved.
78 hours after Kal-El's departure from Krypton, his space capsule crash landed on Earth, within the Kansas region of the United States. A couple from Smallville witnessed the event and took it upon themselves to inspect the crash site out of curiosity. What they found was an infant. The Kents had never been able to conceive a child. This child from the sky was a gift they humbly accepted and raised as their own. The newest Kent was named Clark.
Morals instilled by the Kents and the manifestation of his abilities inclined an adolescent Clark to help those in need. The media dubbed him Superboy for his unbelievable accomplishments. A Metropolis reporter, Lois Lane, called him Superman years later. A name that has stuck since. Though he gets a small satisfaction from the attention and praise, he'd much rather be tending to his farm with his wife Lana Lang, and his two children, Connor and Kara.
These are all absolutely awesome. I'm speechless. I love that Batman... and... all of them.
Wow, those skins are amazing. I love that Batman skin, its simple but beautiful. Supes has some odd highlights on his thumbs though.
I love that Superman! The S is well placed. =P
The First Mainstream JLAer! FANTASTIC! I myself have been trying to redesign superman's costume and have found it terribly hard to change something so a) traditional and b) Simple.
Great Job, The fellow leaguers are jealous with envy(until they are skinned ofcourse )
But, seriously, "to release or not to release? that is the question?" (Sorry, i've been reading hamlet )
P.S. I think you need to think about modding this story, it would be great. :)
Amazing work. Truly amazing :)
Dang, Murs. Those skins are......unbelievable. I don't believe it. :D
Very cool concepts as well. I do have a issue with the thumbs as well. Beyond that.....too cool.
~Z23~
i like these alot ... what mesh is Meryln on??? (I totally need that for Green Arrow)
I particularly like Red Hood ... it's superior to the official DC Red Costume IMO.
As a Superman-mythos lover, I love the story you gave him but something about "Big Blue" not being in blue is a little off to me. For some reason he reminds me more of Icon from Milestone than Kal-El (don't hate me, I love the rest).

Hey just add them to my Xmas list!

But I do.

That's one thing I knew coming into this was that some people just weren't going to "buy" some of these designs. Especially with the more iconic characters. I'm ok with that, and I expect it. But, I'm actually surprised it hasn't happened more.
This was all your fault btw AA, your little "Be Original" thread inspired me. Though these arent original characters exactly, I'm having a lot of fun doing this. Thanks. ^_^
Thanks for the comments and critiques everyone. :)

I would just like to say that Supes looks blue to me. Pale/muted blue and not the typical bright, vibrant blue.
I would also like to say those skins mean nothing to me until I see Vixen or Black Canary. So, go get on that, murs. ^_^
To taunt Prev (everyone's favorite pasttime), now both Vixen and Canary can't show an inch of skin. Give them baggy jeans and jackets for good measure.

Indeed and the adjective, "old," keeps coming to mind. Them not showing skin wouldn't bother me...I don't look at cartoons and expect them to be showing every inch of skin they own...who does that, gremlin?
In fact, murs, go back and reskin everyone with nun outfits. That'll show me! *yawns nonchalantly* Ooo, I'll even rewrite all the bios for you to include their nunnery outfits! They could be a band of religious heroes known as...The Convent! Good deal. Good deal, indeed!

merlyn's face is brilliant man. tiger is my fave overall though. good design and excellent skin. i'm not feelin robin's mask cause it's too identifiably green lantern and i like the costume but think the red and black areas reversed would be better especially for stealth missions. nothing says "look at me" better than red, well maybe a skintight red body suit...
Thing about that, IPS, is if he reversed the scheme you would just have this:
http://images.buycostumes.com/mgen/merchandiser/6249.jpg
And that movie was terrible.
I like Superman. It's a cool design and fairly unique from what you usually see him in.
I would however like a closeup of his face. Something looks odd in the preview pic.

Yeah, looks like one eye is squinting and the other is normal in the pic.

Larger pic looks alright.
oh relax...
So Superman has a lazy eye....
Nobody is perfect ;)
But wouldn't that affect his heat vision?
:o  Ya he can kill somebody!
Interesting concepts. I'm wondering if the bios you have for your designs is what they are for the entirety of your universe's timeline, or if the characters change overtime. For example, in Ultimate X-Men, Wolverine started out the opposite of what he is in the mainstream Marvel Universe, like your Batman, but U-Wolvie changed over time. I'm sort of thinking that maybe a mod could be done with this stuff if the latter is the case. After all, maybe what the DC Universe needs is a fresh start.
hmmm... first of all
*shakes fist at you for making me think there would be no superman* :P
i like the design. if anything, i wouldnt make it blue, but i would make the S symbol a tad bigger on the chest, but thats a nitpick more than anything.
great work as always...
Awesome Work!!!
Great Concepts, Great Skins. Can't wait to see how you fit Dick Grayson and Tim Drake in.
These are brilliant. And I love their backgrounds :)
  incredible!!!!!! that superman! is incredible! and the batman is fanatastic!...release?
Very creative skins, with backgrounds included and all. And besides of being truly inventive, you got some nice costumes right there. Superman and Batman are extremely good.
It's really hard to pick a favorite because ALL of them are excellent! The presentation is terrific. I especially like the backstory that you've created for each of them.
Sorry for the delays guys. I've actually got the rest of the Justice League complete with the exception of Wonder Woman. She's about 75% complete though.
I'm getting closer to graduating so classes have been much more demanding then in the past. Not sure when I'll get to the rest of my Ultimate DCU skins. Summer most likely.
Anyways, thanks for the comments. Hopefully some previews in the next two weeks and the release of what's made shortly after.

The Flash: The general perception of the next stage of evolution in humans, commonly labeled as "Meta-Human (or Metas)", has always been surrounded by trepidation. However, with the Meta-Human population growing, so does the fear. Governments around the world began to legislate and pass new laws to control a potential threat Metas represent. Many countries simply mandate registration, while others institute networks of labor camps for its Meta-Human populace.
Councilman Wally West of Keystone City's Public Safety Department had always kept his inherent abilities a secret. He was fearful of how his goals of becoming a high ranking public servant could be curtailed if his secret were ever exposed publicly. With the reality of a potential future where his children could be hunted for being different, Wally decided to take a more hands-on approach to public safety in the hopes of putting a more positive spin on Metas.
With his initial plan in place, Wally gained strong support from the locals by stopping robberies, muggings, drug trafficking, and inner-city gang fights, yet was mostly ignored nationwide and internationally. The world was going to hell no matter what he did or tried. Still, for the sake of his children, Wally pressed on. He finally gained the trust of America and other parts of the world when he evacuated occupants of the 2nd tower to safety preceding its destruction on 9/11.

I like him alot. The design is cool, the only thing I could thing of is maybe adding a second darker red in some of the costume divisions - that might break it up a little better.
And I just realized I owe you a skope don't I? :banghead:

Really? I've got it written down that I'm supposed to change a beard.
Great design for the Flash, Murs. I even like the yellow fingers.. solid, clean skin.
What other characters do you have in store for your Justice League?
Murs, I am liking these redesigns a lot ... and redesigns of classic characters don't usually appeal to me.
Plus, the detail on your skins is looking sharper than ever.

Green Arrow:
QuoteAn excerpt from En Vogue columnist Darya Folsom's interview of Oliver Queen
So you were just named People Magazine's Most Beautiful Person, how does it feel?
They just figured it out? I've known my whole life. I'm surprised I haven't won it the past couple years. How did it feel to come in 2nd place to me Ms. Folsom?
I'm supposed to be interviewing you. Mr. Queen, why--
Please, it's Ollie, no need for formalities.
Ok, Ollie, why the bow and arrow?
Are you kidding me? You're telling me you didn't watch Robin Hood as a kid. It was the most amazing thing I saw as a child. My parents even hired the stuntman for practice lessons. Merlyn the Magician he was called. He said I was a natural. I wonder what ever happened to him.
How is a guy with just a bow useful when you've got a man of steel?
Sweetheart, you've seen the clips of that whole Brainiac fiasco. If it wasnt for me and this beauty of a bow the people of Earth would be singing a different tune. A bad tune at that.
So, any chances of you giving us a demonstration?
I actually left my bow at the hotel room. But, I'm sure I could make room in my schedule for you to come by later tonight. You think you could handle my bow?
I'm pretty sure I could Mr. Queen. Well thank you so much for your time Ollie, are there any last things you'd like to say?
Ya, bring your make-up artist with you. I think she's interested in archery as well.
Wonder Woman and Martain Manhunter's bios soon.
Wow buddy! MM and Wondie are the standouts for me. I especially love her face and hair. She really is amazing. And MM's face and redesign are great.
I'll save Benton a post and say, "Needs more Aquamus Dorkamus."
Woo very nice. The world needs more skins by Murs.
Green Arrow is probably my Fav. WW is probably my least fav but the face is so very unique.
I kinda like the unique face you gave Wonder Woman. It looks good on her. ^_^
Props to the costume redesigns, my favorite among the bunch would be Green Arrow's and Wonder Woman's.
No AquaDork, no Batman(in the group pic)? No Green Lantern? Thats okay! i love all of these.
I don't really like the face on Green Arrow ... I don't think that particular mask shape and facial hair 'mesh' well. If you lost one or the other, it'd look cool though.

Ultimate Aquaman - During the Cold War, SIS initiated a defense program to protect the U.K. in the event of a Russian invasion. One of the top priorities was a defense system in the surrounding waters of England. The threat of Russian sub-marines needed to be addressed. With British Naval subs being no match for the Russian's deep sea vehicle, SIS contracts London based S.T.A.R. Labs to engineer an aquatic defense weapon.
One of STAR Lab's proposals was a biological weapon that could go undetected by Russian subs. After numerous tests and final approval from the SIS oversight committee, Project: Aquaman had commenced.
Sgt. Arthur Curry of the Special Air Service(SAS) was hand selected for the project. His love for his country made it a non-decision to participate in the project. Undergoing the project, Curry's body was genetically modified with a shark's DNA.
Gaining the strength and swim speed of a shark, Curry had become the world's top aquatic weapon. Achieving speeds of 74 kilometers an hour, he was twice as fast as any submarine. His small size made him invisible to radar, and disregarded as a dolphin by sonar. His ability to survive underwater had the SIS tasking him with Black Ops missions world wide. Aerial to ocean insertions 100 miles away from mission objectives gave him the element of surprise. Curry carries a 100% mission success rate to this day and is the U.K.'s top operative.

I like the choice of mesh and overall design. I imagine like a shark if you touched rubbed him in the wrong direction his skin would cut you.
The area between the waist and pelvis is a little darker than it should be.
Nice, very cool Aquaman.
Really dig the backstory on this one. Does he have a shark's fin, as well?
This is one of the coolest Aquaman designs i have ever seen!
Love the design! It's a great adaptation of a classic character. My one and only gripe however, is that he looks like he should have a wicked set of teeth. I mean a proper set of sharky nashers!
