Title: John's Skopes and Skins
Post by: John Jr. on April 04, 2010, 12:33:48 AM
When you hear the name "Ultraman" you think in the Crime Syndicate Super-Villain? Well, this name always make me remember a 40 meters giant from a distant galaxy who fought... rubber clad monsters?!
I always play the Bobby 69/Lightning Man Ultraman in the Danger Room, but I wanted more of the Ultra brothers (they were very popular here in Brazil when I was a kid), so I'm working in a skin for the "New Ultraman"/ "Ultraman Jack"  from the 1970's series.
He's still a WIP, but I learned so much with the feedback I received in my "Superboy, Aquaboy and The Executioner" thread I could'nt resist post him.
I know he's not shiny at all, but I loved the shiny look Lightning Man gave to the original (it's better looking for a cosmic hero than a rubber suit anyway, so I used it too).

Yeah, it's too shiny, but I'll only fix it after I finish the skin and all those detail in the red parts are killing me :banghead:
Great to know you're a fellow Ultra fan, AA.

Oh yeah. Im liking the whole idea.

Its a shame we didnt get more live-action japanese sentai heroes before now. Id love to see more Ultras, although I dont know how we're gonna get more monsters than we have now.

I always especially like the Kamen Rider meshes that came out years ago when Unfluffy Bunny was still up. Those were amazing, the movements were spot on, but there wasnt much excitement about them.

Not to rain on anybody's parade, but there was an Ultraman at FXForce. New, improved version are always welcome, though.

If they weren't, I wouldn't have all these Wolverine meshes...

I think there are Male Basic Ultraman keyframes out there, too.

Oh yeah, Glob, but this is Ultraman Jack; The Ultraman who Returned. He was next in line after UltraSeven (Whom Ill hope well see sometime soon).

Im pretty sure that theres an Ultraman Powered floating around too, based off of the Australian show.

Scorpion is right. Lightning Man made a great skin for the original Ultraman, I'm trying to skin the "New Ultraman", AKA as Ultraman Jack (I'm using the same mesh as LM, Bobby 69's Ultraman). You can see both and some of their brothers here:

Original is the third from the left, "Jack" is the last, on the right corner.

Update.
Followed AA's and Daglob's suggestions about the reflex and details in the red parts of the costume.

I like the design you put into it.. the shapes of the red, as well as the face, look really good.

However, I don't love the reflection yet. The reflection you have now makes the red on the chest seem distorted.

Try a different lightmap. Experiment with a few different ones and see how it comes out.. you may notice drastic differences.

What LP says.

I used a different lightmap (one that looks vaugely like Kirby cosmic rays) on my Machine Man skin, and it made all the difference.

Yeah, some sort of different reflection thing. You'd want to be able to see the detail on the suit, seeing as how putting all those lines on it must have been a pain.

I haven't seen an epiode of Ultraman since the '80s (I think it was on Night Flight on the USA network), so I can't remember if the red areas are raised or not. Translation: should the edges be highlighted and shadowed?

I believe the red areas are only painted on the rubber suit.

Title: Re: Ultraman has returned!
Post by: area34 on April 08, 2010, 01:20:37 AM
My suggestion, if you want to give a painted on look but make the edges not as jaggy you can add an outer glow to the red layer. When I want to do two colors on a outfit (but not have seams) I use the outer or inner glows to give it a less harsh line.

Daglob, you just really impressed me.  I was beginning to think I was the only one in the world who watched Night Flights in the 80's, but I don't remember seeing Ultraman on it.  I do remember going to see it at the movies when I was a child in the 70's.

Could have been on WTBS (not even a Superstation, in those days), or we were getting New Orleans stations on cable back then.

That reflection does look great, buy the way.

This is way off topic, but does anyone remember an old movie that was made up of different serials like Dick Tracy, Captain Marvel and so forth.  It had the heroes fighting for the forces of Muzak and they had Ming the Merciless fighting for the Rock and Roll.  Most of the characters were redubbed to say rather silly things.  I have thought so many times that it would be great get a CD of it.  Of course, now that I live a life of sobriety, I might not like as much as I think I would.
Title: Re: Ultraman has returned!
Post by: laughing paradox on April 08, 2010, 06:34:37 PM
The reflection is perfect, but I agree with Area and Daglob, the red could use some extra oomph.

It's a balance between being accurate to the source material and making a skin look good in the game.

You have some good suggestions from Area (the outer glow trick) and Daglob (light and dark seams on the red) that could make your skin pop.

With that said, Ultraman looks really good already.

Thanks, guys!
Area, LP,
How I make that "outer glow" trick? I just draw the red areas I want in the glow file?
Title: Re: Ultraman has returned!
Post by: area34 on April 09, 2010, 01:29:52 AM
In Photoshop you can add effects to a layer. I don't know if you do things in layers but if the red is a separate layer you can go into the blending options and you can select(among other things) outer glow. It will only effect that layer you've selected. That's why I mentioned keeping the red as a separate layer. What I tend to do with outfits that I don't want the seam on or to soften the seam is to make the outer glow be the seams color. Depending on the color the glow will be almost completely invisible but when you view him as a 3d model you'll definitely see a difference.

The Power Packers I'm working on have no seam whats over, just an outer glow. For an example.
Title: James Buchanan "Bucky" Barnes
Post by: John Jr. on April 18, 2010, 04:18:20 AM
I always wanted skin this guy: James Buchanan "Bucky" Barnes.
I love the Grenadier/C6 version, but I really wanted to play the older Bucky in "Last Days of the War" scenarios.
Mesh is VXMaleV2, by Vertex. I just hide parts I didn't need and unhidden the parts I needed.
I used C6's Male_Costume and Male_New Face base skins. Extras were edited over the mesh's base skin

I'm liking this Bucky. The hair looks pretty good.

Just add a dark seams at the bottom of his briefs, maybe a touch of shadow, to give it that raised look.

Also, the gloves look like a solid red.. maybe add a few different shades of red on the glove to make it stand out.

BTW, I'm trying to paste a gun in Bucky's hand, but I can't fix it in the right position. Would a real skoper be kind enough to help me? Thanks!

EDIT: Tried to follow LP's suggestions, but don't know if I did it right.

Good job, JJr!

I agree with Murs about the wrist bands, they came out very well. So with the bat logo on his chest, do you want the logo to stick out of the costume, or to recede in the costume? If it's to stick out, then the light seams should be on top, not the bottom.

Hmm....I actually like the belt.  It has a unique look to it.  I definitely like the color you went with for it, and the texture of it is rather neat.  The bat symbol itself isn't quite right...but I can't put my finger on what it needs.  Great work man, you continue to improve!
Title: Re: Batman, the ex-Boy Wonder WIP

Thanks, Benton. I edited a belt capsule of an original Batman cover to do mine, so the colors are from a DC colorist. I just copied, edited and so on. I'm trying to get a 3d effect for the  bat symbol, but still didn't got it right.

Post by: John Jr. on June 18, 2010, 02:42:46 AM
I updated my Superboy skin, re-made all the blue parts, changed s-shield and belt and added highlights using what I learned from Mur's great tutorial. OK, it's almost a brand new skin. I tried a more "comic book" feel this time. I'm kinda of happy with it now...

Hmmm...i think i also like the other Superboy skin shown in this link.

http://freedomreborn.net/forums/index.php?topic=52553.30

The highlights are not that strong but i don't know it looks better somehow for me. It's a classic comic look i guess. But kudos for being able to make some good highlights using Murs' technique to give it a more modern comic book feel . :)

Title: Re: An updated Teen of Steel
Post by: Kenn on June 18, 2010, 06:16:06 PM
I count at least 16 distinct light sources, each within very close (6" or so) proximity of Kal, needed to make those highlights.

Also, the blues look like separate hues, not different shades of the same colour.   In the highlighted areas, there is approx. 4x more blue than red and 1.5x more blue green.   In the dark areas, the amount of blue is 16x more than the amount of red and 2x amount of green.  The dark areas are actually a richer shade of blue, and the highlights are more of a cyan.   But even if the light sources were orange tinted, then the rest of him would show it too.

I did a Hulk skin for Yellow Lantern. I decided it was too close to olive drab, so I did a brighter one (through the magic of Photoshop). YL liked the original, olive drab one (look at his section here: http://ffcenter.net/champions/).

I like 'em both. If you didn't paint over the original (NEVER a good idea), offer BOTH in a 2-pack.
Title: Re: An updated Teen of Steel

First, I like that Bat-Belt. It's unique and I really dig it.

Now about Superboy.. I totally see what you're doing here with the comic book effect, as opposed to your other Superman skin. Since this is Superboy, I know you're not going for super-detailed musculature, but I think this skin (since it's more comic book inspired) would benefit from a six pack from the base. That's not to say to change the whole base to a new one.. you can combine bases to make something you may like, if you wanted to. Maybe add the six pack from one base skin and add it to another, to see how it looks. (Adjusting it as you go, of course).

On a side note, it looks like you're really improving with seams. It took me forever to get a decent grasp on it.

That's my original idea. The first version (show in the link Outcast posted) would be more realistic, near to the tv show costume (so, few highlights and less muscles showing). The second is all "comic book" look, so more highlights and so.
I usually make "less highlighted" versions, for the reasons Kenn pointed, but since I'm a newbie I want to play with new techniques I'm learning (new toys!) and I loved Mur's tut about highlights.
Thanks for the suggestions and the kind words guys. Do you believe it's worth to release the skins (the 2 Superboys, Bats and Bucky)?

As a Legion fan I'm very happy the team is experimenting a "renaissance". I'm specially found of the retro tales shown in "Superman Secret Origins" and "Adventure Comics", so I wanted to play some EZScript stories with the classic team in the Rumble Room.
Tommyboy, Laughing Paradox and JK Carrier already made stunning versions of the twenty something Imra Ardeen, but I wanted a new skope and skin for the teenaged version.

Thanks for the kind words.
I'll probably try Lightning Lad next.

The (very) earlier years:

A more mature version:

I made a skope for "kid" Garth, the "teen" version is the old Male Cape mesh.

Stop it JJ....just stop it.  You're making me look bad!  Ha!  I can only mod, and here you are modding AND skinning.  These look great, my friend.  Your color work is really improving.  Saturn Girl and Superman are especially impressive.  I think your lightning bolts on Garth's chest could be a bit sharper, but I imagine that is MUCH easier to say than to do.  All in all, these guys are really impressive, buddy!

I'll try to make better looking lightnings for Mr. Ranzz. Thaks for the tip.
Don't say you can "only" mod, you're one of our best modders, period! I'm just an amateur modder and skinner.
I'm glad you liked Superboy and Saturn Girl, I'm kinda of happy with them (and I'm rarely happy with my skins and skopes).

It's great to know Garth's face worked for you. I'm still working in Rokk's skope for the "early years". Teen version will use Tommyboy's great mesh.

I really like what you did with his face! I agree about the lightning bolts, too.. and you don't have to make each one.. just make one and copy the layer, then flip it to the other side.

Really, that face is really friggin' nice.

And yeah, I love the current look of the Legion.. they even got Tyroc back on the team and he looks cool!

I had a similar problem when I made a skope for Lana Lang, it's hard to find err... "less developed" female meshes, or in the wise words of some colleagues:

Arent there some teenage girls meshes floating around from back in the day? Ones that dont have huge knockers?

Well, maybe not. These are comic book characters. You dont see many women in comics who arent almost comically well endowed.

If you're gonna take the trouble to draw 'em, you might as well make it worth it.

Yeah, I'm reading Legion and Adventure Comics and liking them. I'm a big Paul Levitz fan.

Title: Re: LSH: Cosmic Boy

Very nice, JJ.

I'd suggest adding to the belt.. make it lighter on top, add a gradient. Right now it looks too simple with the rest of your great skin.

And weren't his shorts black?
Title: Re: LSH: Cosmic Boy
Post by: John Jr. on July 30, 2010, 04:52:45 AM
Thanks, guys.
Yeah, I'm trying to get a 70's look with this guy. I'm glad it worked. The hair is from Tommyboy's versatile mesh and it's called "70's hair" or something like that, so the merit is all Tommy's, I just choose it.
LP,
Rokk's costume changed a bit in the first LSH appearances, but in the late 60's/early 70's it had white boots and trunks (earlier the bots were pink with white trims and the shorts black). The belt and the hair aren't finished yet and I agree with you about the belt details.
Benton,
I'm not a fan of the pink costume either, so I used the the darker pink I got from a Cosmic Boy cover appearance. The things we have to do to be faithful to the source material...

I'm still not finished with the Legion, there are some classic and current versions I want to do. I hated "Legion of 3 Worlds" execution, but I liked the concept a lot, so I made some skins of characters from that mini. Nice work so far, my friend!  I love those FFIII designs, so it is always great to see them made.  Let's see....well, I think she could benefit from longer hair...maybe the female longhair version, like the DCUG's Mera?  Also, she needs that compact, but I don't know what you'd use for it.  Perhaps a smaller scale pattern on the chest?:

http://pc.ign.com/dor/objects/15161/freedom-force/images/freedom-force-20090626030225837.html

Of course, all of these thoughts are given without any real concept of how hard their implementation might be, so feel free to completely disregard them. ;)

Load that picture of Saturn Girl into Photoshop (into the skin, if you can) and use it as a palette.
Title: Re: Adventure Comics: Supergirl
Post by: laughing paradox on August 28, 2010, 09:46:06 PM
To get blue hues, try this.

Use a desaturated female_basic skin as the first layer. On a new layer on top of it, fill it with a very light blue.. much like the blue on this site. On this blue layer, go through the blending options, using Vivid Color or Hard Light or any of them, until it shows up the way you like. Try different shades of blue, but make them light so the white will go through as well.

Supergirl looks good! I like Saturn Girl, also.

I'm really impressed with the unique faces your doing. They look really good. Superman's looks great. Supergirl's eyes might be a bit too big though. But I'll echo what Benton said. I think you've really improved a lot. The colors and symbols looks nice too. Keep up the great work. :)

Thanks to our talented friend, ow_tiobe_sb, Teen Urchin got her shell compact and a new, better looking hair.
I'm still trying to do justice tiobe's work with my limited skinning skill and that is what I got after 5 or 6 different textures for Urchin's hair.

Wow!  Tiobe's contributions make a huge difference.  That hair is perfect, and the compact is great as well.  Your skin is great.  I love the skin tone.  I would say you might want to brighten the hair a bit, but you're pretty close to perfect there.  Great work JJ!

Updated Superman, I'm still playing with different S-shields.

And I made a new Superboy skope and skin. Thanks to Afghan Ant for letting me use his (amazing) new Superman skope as a base for my Superboy.

I'm only improving my limited skills thanks to you all. I learned a lot from your tips and tutorials.
I'm very glad you liked the new faces. I tried to give Superboy and Superman slightly different faces, so they would look like the same guy in different ages.
Livewire's face is a slightly edited version from my " kid" Lightning Lad's face.

i've played the first 2 levels of your mod, and i have to say your faces are stellar with the talking heads. it makes me want to make a clark kent head. all i really need to know is how many channels are needed and what each channel is for. ultimately, i will open up one of the head files with nifskope to see if i can figure it out.

Thanks, Bearded.
Great news about the Clark head, I'll be sure to use it.
When I skin an "emotion-like" face (smiling, angry, etc) I skin a different, "neutral" face to use with the talking heads.
I hope you like my mod.

Great work! I'm also a huge fan of the Legion and would love to see more of the reboot versions. I thought it was a great unifying look for the team. Liked your Teen Urchin a lot also; can't help but notice how well she fits in with the few 70's versions of Freedom Force which were released. You did a great job!

I'll start to work in a new mod in the next days, so my skope and skins output will be a lot slower for the next weeks, but I still have some classic and reboot Legionnaires and at least one more 70's Freedom Forcer in my "to-do" list.

Thanks, guys. I'll make only minor changes to the skins (I still want to make Bucky's classic "star" belt buckle, add some detail to the clothwork, so on...), but I'm still not 100% satisfied with the skopes.
Thanks for the tips, Casanova, I'll see if I still have Ren's Ultimate Cap (I lost a lot of meshes/skins when my pc crashed).
EDIT: I already changed Bucky's gun to the Thompson. Thanks again for the tip, Cas.
I used a skoped mask (by Tommyboy) in an earlier version of Bucky, but I needed a skinned version for the talking head (since I made that skopes for a mod), so I gave it up.

For some reason, NifSkope garbles the last couple bytes of the file when you skope a head.nif. You can fix it with a hex editing program. Check out Dr. Mike's posts in this thread for the details:

This is one of my pet projects. I use EZScript a lot, I'm always playing new stories, so I need more civilians (the heroes got tired to save/talk/interact with the same tow people over and over...), so I'm making some.
When I finish it it will be a teenage girl skope with 3 different skins, a generic civilian girl and two classic girlfriends of two classic heroes. I'm finishing the first one, miss Gwendolyne Stacy:

For my Cipher skope on HeroForce I used the head band from Tommyboy's Asgardian mesh. Whatever you use you'll probably need to manipulate it a bit to get to look right.

John your style is really developing here. I like the cloth work and stitching details you added to them. Those are so important when you are skinning less complicated designs.

Also do Linda Danvers. She is still my fav Supergirl. Too bad she's been sent to hell :(.

AA, I'll do my best to do Linda justice, I liked that visual a lot.
I understand your feelings about Linda, a lot of my favorite characters were killed/retconned in the 80's and 90's. I'm relieved some of them got back and I wouldn't be surprised if they bring Linda back one day. Nothing is "forever" in funny books.

Another vote for Linda from me, (the last Trade is a wonderful read). Once you add a headband for Gwen that'll easily transfer to the Linda Supergirl.

You really captured the look of the Superboy series Lana with your detail on the eyes.

Well done!

OK, Gwendy just got her headband.

Thanks to the magic of Alpha channels Lana doesn't have one (I added more detail to her shirt and hair):

And I'm finishing generic civil girl:

Why she looks sad, you ask? Well, she is a civilian in a super-hero game, so she knows she'll be frozen, caged, menaced, etc. And when all is done Lana gets back to home in Superboy's arms, Gwen in Spidey's webs, but poor civil girl have to get a cab.
Life is unfair...

Cos looks cool! Maybe one of Tomato's meshes would help you with the feet issue? I believe it has mapping for both sides, individually.

It's true.

Cosmic Boy is looking really good...love the hair, the buckle, and the little emblems on the chest.

Man, JJ, your skins just keep getting better and better.  I don't know quite what it is...maybe the shading?  Anyway, that last Cosmic Boy skin is really fantastic.  Great work man!

Reboot Cosmic Boy looks great. I liked the iconic look of the reboot theme which I think in some ways inspired Hitch's ultimate designs for Marvel.

Just out of interest are you looking at going with a Legion of Three Worlds theme?

Thanks a lot guys.
I followed LP's suggestion (thanks, buddy!) and Tomato's teen mesh is perfect for kid Cos (and it solved the feet problem). I'm just making minor changes to the skins to adapt them to the new mesh.

I want to play with a similar concept, martialstorm . I really wanted to skin the original and reboot versions of the three founders and I have an idea for a new Legion mod that involves the two teams, so I'll probably do more skopes/skins for them. No plans for threeboot Legion for now.

BTW, Cos, Linda and the girls are released:

Does anyone remember this, aham!, very well dressed super-villain?

Spoiler
The Composite Man was one of the most powerful villains of the reboot Legion. He was the reboot version of the classic Composite Superman, but, boy he was even uglier than his older counterpart. You can see him in all his weird glory in LSH #69, 1995

Thanks, guys.
Composite was very silly looking because he kept changing his appearance, mixing costume parts and skin tones of the Legionnaires. But he was a very powerful guy with a good motivation (he was some kind of Durlan living weapon and he was imprisoned by Durlan priests, including Chameleon's father), so he's goofy looking, but useful in a story.

Nice.. now make the white on Invisible Kid's "I" brighter! ;)

I really like the Legion emblem on the belt.. that came out well. Have you considered using a gradient along the belt so it's lighter in the middle and black at the ends, or vice versa? Then you could put the light highlight on the top of the belt. And a dark one on the bottom of it.. it gives it a more 3D look.

With that said, it looks great now. Just a suggestion.

They both look really good, my only suggestion for Brainy would be to brighten the eyebrows. Otherwise, well done. As for the Invisible Kid, I agree with LP, the I would benefit from being lighter.

Outcast,
The images are from a WWE game, they have a VERY powerful customizing system and you can make almost anyone in there. Superman is one of the most frequently created wrestlers.
DC made another reboot last year, and the new Superman used a jeans and t-shirt "costume" when he started his career, in his late teens, early twenties.
Spyder,
Semi-casual Superboy? Good idea :)
Anyway, this is the look I'm trying to get:

I call this version the George Perez Superman, which was actually good the first few issues.

Your skin is looking very productive. I thought the sleeves were mesh pieces for a second.

Is his cape thinner than normal in the comic? If that is the case, maybe alpha the sides of the cape?

The cape looks different in different comics, sometimes it's looks bigger, sometimes shorter and thinner...So I went for the classic look.

Great to see your skins again John and I'm really happy you're taking on the new 52 Superman following on from your previous excellent versions.

I know you're still working on it but will you be adding wrinkes/ creases to the shirt to make it more loose in appearance?

Also like the subtle changes in the face.

Maybe a touch of shadow on his forehead, right under his head? Are you going to skope a belt piece on?

Good idea about the shadow, I'll try it.

Changed the skope (again), but I wanted something different form my previous Superboy/man models.
Followed martialstorm's suggestion and added creases to the shirt and pants.
Followed LP's and added a belt, but since Supes used two different (non) costumes in the Brainiac story arc I made two different skins, one with the belt and the white shirt "variant":

Btw I saw an image in the latest Action Comics that looks very similar to your 3d pic.

Thanks, martialstorm.
Now, like I promised, the Conner Kent preview:

Mesh is Ink's Superboy_TT (who, surprising enough didn't had a standard skin yet). I just alpha-enabled all the accessories, so I can use multiple skins with this mesh.

Thanks, guys. Ink made a great mesh. I'm already planning a second skin with one of his more "super-hero" like looks.
Mystik,
This is only a WIP, I'll change the logo's colors and add some details to the skin (I'm not satisfied with the face yet).

I love that hair piece. You say it's an unskinned Ink mesh? I noticed there's a Terra mesh that is unskinned as well.. hmmm..

Lovin' the Superboys. I'm glad you went with white and gray instead of white and light blue for the YJ Supes.

Add a little shadow around the collar of his shirt and sleeves! It'll make it pop even a little more.
Title: Re: Conner Kent Superboy Updated.
Post by: John Jr. on June 18, 2012, 04:33:02 AM
Yeah, it would be a shame to let this mesh stay unskinned, it's pretty good. Ink have some "hidden treasures" in the Hero force site, just awaiting to be skinned.
I'm glad you liked the Conners, LP. With all the "complements" alpha enabled we can make pretty much all of Conner's costumes to this mesh. I want to try something different next, but maybe I'll make other costumes in the future.
I already added the shadow and I agree with you, they give a nice detail, thanks.

Benton, I  know a bigger smile would make him look younger, but I didn't like the way it looked in the mesh, so I went for a more "simple" smile.  Anyway, in the game his size and physique will help to show he's still a kid.

trebean,
In the photos sometimes Cavill's hair looks brown, others black (because of the lighting, I suppose), but in most of the movie's merchandising (action figures, statues) they painted his hair brown, so I did the same.

I'm not totally sure the look you're going for, but for Cylinder type pieces, I would check Tommyboy's "Red_Robin_TF", that one has pieces on the Belt/Buckle you might be able to use. Or you could check Grenadier's "Checkmate_Knight" Meshes, a couple of them have a piece on the thigh where the Staff is shrunk down, so it's a smaller cylinder type piece.

As for your WIP, the eyes kind of seem a little bit mismatched, mostly noticeable on the left eye, but otherwise, very nice.

Benton,
Well, I always liked Aquaman as the happy hero, husband and father, so I tried to give a happy, carefree look to the Silver Age version.

Thor is finally available, I'm sorry it took so long, but this was hands down the most challenging skin I ever made (the skope was easy enough). I tested a lot of different cloth, leather and metal textures before I was satisfied with him (well, I'm still not satisfied, but I know this is the best I can do for now).

I'm still working on my Chris Reeve Superman (it's a dream project of mine), but I'm facing some issues with the face (photoskinned faces are a mystery to me). Meanwhile, I made a quick skope of the Earth 2 Superman. I don't even read E2, but I really liked the clean, "less is more" look, and I believe no one had skinned him yet, so...
Still a WIP, needs shadows and gradients, but I wanted to post an early image.

His skin tone is a little dark, but yeah this is a good design. I started a skin a while ago but abandonned it for Calvin Ellis' design (which I love). I'm not really love Earth 2 anymore, but I'm glad to see Val-Zod skinned.

I've never seen this E2 Superman design before, but I love it. I'm a sucker for clean and simple.

Your skin looks great! I love it!
Two tiny points are, maybe the neck hole could be a bit bigger to match up to the cape, and the hairline a tiny bit less pointy?
Really amazing job though! Do all the white/silver parts have a refl? Would look awesome to see him shimmering in game.

PS: That Aquaman is killer!

Yes, I have no shame when it come to all these wonderful toys...

I'm sorry it's taking me so long, Old Chum, but The Caped Crusader is on his way.

I still have to skin the extras and add wrinkles and highlights to the skin, but I wanted to post a image.

He looks great! I really like the little details that add a lot of character. His eyebrows are perfect and the wrinkles on his gloves are good too. Same with the folds of the cowl under his neck.

Title: Lex Luthor, teen evil genius WIP.
Post by: John Jr. on November 04, 2017, 02:11:32 AM
Oh no! The teenage evil genius, Lex Luthor, is back to terrorize Smallville! Who can stop him?
We have a lot of Luthor skins, from plain clothes to power armor, but I don't think I ever saw a "Teen Luthor" skope/skin, so I made one. Still a WIP.

Title: Classic Superboy vs Lex Luthorr
Post by: John Jr. on November 13, 2017, 10:08:28 PM
Who can stop Young Luthor and protect Smallville? Why, Superboy, of course!
I asked Da Glob if he wanted to team up again and he was kind enough and agreed to skin my new Superboy skope. It's the first time I had the pleasure to see other artist make the standard skin for one of my skopes. And DG made an amazing job! Thanks again, buddy!
We wanted to make a tribute to classic Superboy artists Bob Brown and Wally Wood.

Since DJ doesn't want to team up, I went solo again :)

The Man of Steel:

The Man of Mullets:

Both are still wips, I need to add more detail to the skins and I'm still playing with the skope.

Hi, guys.
I'm facing some problems in real life, so I've had little free time, but I'm working (albeit slowly) on a new skope.
It was a request from heroidosilencio: Classic tokusatsu hero Spectreman.
Still a WIP, I need to add details to the facemask and the belt and some shadows/highlights to the costume.
