The Mistress of Magic that no one asked for! (Updated image added because I'm mostly tired of looking at this old Clea pic whenever I visit this post and cringing.)

I've never heard of her but she looks great. :thumbup:
Fantastic! This is a great skin that really captures the character.
Thanks! Clea was Doctor Strange's apprentice and lover for quite a while. She's also related to Dormammu, even becoming the Sorceress Supreme of Dormmamu's realm.
Cool ... I don't think many Dr Strange characters have been done, aside from Strange and Dormammu.
Nicely done LP!
I didn't know somebody already skinned Dormammu, although I do have the mesh.
I'm not sure why. But when i look at it at home, the colors seem to be lighter. But when i look at it at the office, the colors are much more darker. :blink: I am curious to know how the color appears for you guys. EDIT: :doh: messed around with the monitor's settings at the office and tried to make it lighter. Now i remember why i lowered the brightness, it was giving me quite a headache. Good thing i have an lcd monitor at home.. :wacko:
Anyways, glad you got your PC up and running again LP. Let the good times er i mean skins roll. :P
Nice skin LP, I'm only very vaguely familiar with her, but I love to see obscure characters made!
Very good Clea.
The Circle pattern and shoulder pads are really well done.
Great job on Clea! I did a really dire one on female_versatile about a million years ago, glad someone finally did her justice. :lol:
Thanks, everyone. :thumbup:
I tweaked the coloring of Clea slightly and added reflection to the circle pattern.. it looks pretty nifty.
And anyone who's seen the Amalgam thread in the Requests forum knows I've been doing some Amalgam skins. This is my latest one.
(http://i63.photobucket.com/albums/h137/excelsior420/angelhawk.jpg)
I skinned everything except for the base (naturally) and the wings, which were the default of the vxmale_wing mesh. The mesh itself is a hex of Detourne_Me's vxHawkman skope.
Two more Amalgamites. I am all about these characters.

I actually start a couple at the same time and kind of work on one, get to another, then work on that. I also keep all my PSD files, so the basic 'templates' for things are there.. like Clea's shoulder pads were also from my Prototype skin and the shapes of clothes, like the bottom part of the briefs, have already been 'pre-cut' and I have a general highlights layer used for most of my skins. I even save the cut of things like Angelhawk's arm braces, as I've used that shape before. The most time consuming thing is getting seams and highlights correct and extras.
Hawkeye took about 4 hours in total because of all the extras. The actual skin itself was considerably less time.

I need to fix the 'glasses' part of her eyes, obviously.. so still a WIP. I did experiment with giving her a 'wet' look through reflection and that can be seen on her legs.
If anyone knows of a mesh piece that looks like horned-rimmed glasses, I would appreciate it.
Couldn't you use GNI's Austin_Powers mesh? Located here:
http://membres.lycos.fr/gniz713/PageWeb.htm
Thre is also a Male Basic Glasses mesh. I've posted it at CO3, because I don't remember where I got it and couldn't find it.
Cool Diamond Li!
Can't say I've ever heard of this Marine Marauder before, but I like design.
Tommy's Animal Man might work. I definitely never thought that I'd see this character skinned....in fact, I imagined that I was probably the only person on the boards who had ever even HEARD of her...but now that she is going to be released...I am already dreaming up ways to incorporate her into the DCUG.....

Why are LCD monitors, High Def , etc stupid? And how are they ruining the skins you make? :huh:
Awesome Diamond Lil, LP. I've never heard of the Marine Marauder and I thought I had a fairly good knowledge of the DCU. :)
Nice Clea skin, LP! It's nice to see Doctor Strange's wife (or Dark Dimension equivalent) and former student get a moment to shine.
Dana
Thanks, guys! I'm going to continue working on Marine Marauder and get her perfect.
So this is the first time I did major face work on a skin and I dig it.
(http://i63.photobucket.com/albums/h137/excelsior420/silverbanshee.jpg)
Silver Banshee from DC.
Now, this wouldn't be an LP post unless I addressed some kind of dilemma. ;)
Are there any hair pieces that have long hair but with a good enough wiremap that would allow straight lines to go through? Whenever I try to line up straight black lines in Silver Banshee's hair, it comes out discombobulated. Any suggestions on that front? I know I can change wiremap in Nifskope, but the wiremap already is so mixed up that it would take forever to 'untangle', let alone line up.
I like her, the costume came out quite well.
You know I'm sure there's a hair piece out there that will do what you want, but it won't be an Ink piece. Maybe check some of Beyonder's or Renegade's stuff.
Thanks, Pod. I'll look around and see if Beyonder or Renegade have something fitting. I appreciate it!
There's a piece that was used on an Emma Frost mesh that I have a feeling will work perfectly if it can be skoped. Anyone know where this is, I think it was skinned by IPS and I think it was a mesh by the Beyonder.
(http://i63.photobucket.com/albums/h137/excelsior420/vindicator.jpg)
I've always loved this incarnation of Vindicator and finally got to do it!
(http://i63.photobucket.com/albums/h137/excelsior420/arcligh1t.jpg)
I think the (classic) Marauders need some lovin'. Podmark did a fantastic Riptide and a fantastic Harpoon is already in the works, so I figured I'd do Arclight. I think I'm going to do some more of them, like Blockbuster. I'm also up for the challenge of Scalphunter.. but that's going to take forever.
Yes we do need more Marauder's LP :blink:
Nice Arclight there LP, simple costume design but you made it look extra nice, and I don't think I have that version of Vindicator yet, well done.
Lots of luck with Scalphunter! He looks to me a toughy!
Good stuff LP. Very clean looking.
I'll totally agree the Marauders need some loving. I was planning to do more but went on to other things for now.
is scalphunter the guy with the guns?if so what about a skope using tj's punisher.its got ALOT of guns.
(http://i63.photobucket.com/albums/h137/excelsior420/blockbuster.jpg)
Blockbuster from the Marauders.
And regarding Scalphunter.. I think I bit off more than I can chew. I just can't seem to get it right.. I'll keep trying.. but if anyone else would like to try it, please go for it. The suggestion of making it on TJ's Punisher mesh is perfect and I hexed it so that the backpack doesn't show. If anyone is interested, I can send it your way.
Nice Blockbuster, LP. Scratching him from my list.
Sweet more Maruaders!
Scalphunter always seemed like a tough character to do to me.
LP i can try if you want to do something... just pm me
Cool ... Marauders!!!
I love that, LP! The beard is really weird, but that's more about the character design than your skin, I expect.
Great work here lately LP! I really like the Silver Banshee. I'm going to have to pick her up sometime soon. That Guardian skin is especially nice. :)
Blockbuster = awesome! :thumbup:
Thanks, guys!
Yeah, that goatee does look weird but it's how he looks in the comic.. so eh.
I'm going to zip these characters soon and have them available by the weekend. Well, most of them.. still got work to do on Marine Marauder and Silver Banshee.
Oh frickin' hey there. I really like the Blockbuster skope and finally Archlight. I hope to see some more Marauders.
QuoteNice Blockbuster, LP. Scratching him from my list.
Mega Ditto's :blink:
Excellent Blockbuster! And from the other bunch of skins I didn't get to comment, I guess Clea is my favorite. She's beautifully done. Besides, I'm always ready for new 2nd and 3rd string characters to add to the game.
Very good Blockbuster, I am sooo looking forward to your next releases.
silver banshee is great and also blockbuster is cool to keep up the good work !!!
I'm loving the Vindicator and Silver Banshee skins, LP...Nice work!

(http://i63.photobucket.com/albums/h137/excelsior420/lightlass.jpg)
I've been really on the outs with skinning, haven't really created anything in over a month, but I figured I'd create this version of Light Lass, as I haven't seen her before. There are a few of projects on the horizon, including Scalphunter and the Satellite-era Zatanna. Only time will tell when they are actually done, though!
Oh, and I'll definitely finish up all the stuff I've previewed and haven't released yet, like Silver Banshee and Marine Marauder. .. y'know. Eventually.
No one can keep up that pace forever before burnout kicks in - I'm a happy fan as long as you keep trickling in the goodies at whatever speed - Nice Light Lass skin! :blink:
Great stuff, LP. Slow and steady is the pace I work at. It's been good to me. Don't let yourself get burned out.
(http://i63.photobucket.com/albums/h137/excelsior420/fatalfive.jpg)
Fatal Five
Tharok, the half-human/half-robot man, is a kitbash. I did not create the robot part, it was done by Greycount, so therefore will not be available for release. I just wanted to add him to the group picture to complete the team.
Well they look pretty good even if you can't release Tharok. The green girl (can't remember my Fatal Five right now) is my favorite skin.
Emerald Empress is my fav :P, nice work LP.
Nice looking Fatal Five LP. Keep up the good work on these lesser know but much needed characters!
Great Fatal Five, LP. If I may add a critique, maybe make the brain texture on Validus a bit smaller. It just seems off to me.
Look into some tutorials on doing metal and perhaps you could finish Tharok...
Kick arse Fatal Five
Thanks, folks! I may actually work on Tharok's metal side and complete it myself, but in time.
Bill, thanks for the critique.. you're right, Validus' brain section does look out of place. I'm definitely going to tweak it and see what comes up.

Cool Gargoyle. I'd probably go for a deeper contrast with the muscles though. It looks a little faded.

I fixed it up.

Nice Gargoyle, LP. Having seen that, I bet you could make an awesome Etrigan (wink, wink)
Thanks, folks. Gargoyle will be ready for download soon enough. Just have to write the files and make a portrait.
Sooooo..
I was thinking of making a brand new avatar for myself.. but I somehow got sidetracked, due to AA's Phylla skope.. and ended up making these characters. They are tentatively called Dusk and Dawn. I was in geek elation over their swords.. they look even better in motion. I did some cool things like adding scars on Dawn's face, but you can't really see it. I might submit one of these for Tomato's cool mod, but I actually have a villain I've been thinking about creating for it.
(http://i63.photobucket.com/albums/h137/excelsior420/duskdawn.jpg)
Let me know what you think.
those two look very good.yeah,the swords do look awsome!
Hey LP. Stellar job on improving your Gargoyle skin. It's looks better than ever. :cool:
And these latest original skins are pretty creative too. Those stars and rainbow effects really stands out. Nice touch. So far, my favorite would be the character with the rainbow colors. I think the character looks better with the cape and the boots. :) I think the other one could use more accessories perhaps. It doesn't have to be the same though. Maybe a different helmet style? A different weapon? Just an idea, but i think similar costumes could work too you know. :wacko:

The rainbow parts of the right character, and the white stars on the left character, are all done with the glow and with some tweaked reflection.
-----
I've had this character sitting on my computer for a while because I can't finish skoping it. Whenever I try to add a loincloth, it explodes. And I can't seem to find an appropriate piece for a belt, which I guess I'll have to skin. That's why I haven't released it. If any master skopers want to help me out, let me know.

LP, I haven't been able to check out your work lately, but this is some great stuff! I love those star-dappled swords especially. :)
I was listening to Darling Nikki (Foo Fighters version) and I was like, hey.. I should create Nikki from the Guardians o' da Galaxy and yeah.. here ya go.
(http://i63.photobucket.com/albums/h137/excelsior420/Nikki.jpg)
I may skope a belt on because my skinning attempt at that was atrocious. :D
I think the other characters of that team were all done pretty well..except for a good mesh for Aleta. So I may skope that up, too.. is anyone aware of a female mesh with two hoverdisks, like Mister Miracle has when he flies? I'd use the Mister Miracle mesh but it would distort the female mesh.
(http://i63.photobucket.com/albums/h137/excelsior420/femforce1.jpg)
(from left to right) Thunderfox, Stardust, Nightveil, Ms. Victory, She-Cat, Synn, Dragonfly, Yankee Girl
Dragonfly was NOT skinned by me.. she was skinned by the ever-talented Sioux City Dynamo. I simply did a little skoping on her arm wings and wanted to add her to the rest of the team.
Been doing these suckers for a while. All of these are new skopes.. Stardust is a cool kind of female_basic_fx skope. I wasn't aware if one was created already or not.
These look cool, although the shading on Synn's costume holes is really severe. It looks like the fabric is a couple inches above her skin.
Thanks for the head's up.. that'll be a very easy fix.
interesting ... never heard of this team before!

I'll be releasing most of the stuff by the end of the week. Just have to do all the mind-numbing stuff.. portraits, read_me files, etc.

I'm particularly proud of this one. I did even more work on this face.. eyes look different, mouth is actually a smile, inspired by the default Jubilee standard (which was made by AA). The only thing I did not do was the extras hair piece... the wiremap is particularly difficult for me, but I'll keep trying it to see if I can finally get it right.

Youngblood was actually available before... there are a bunch of meshes from Alex's FF site, which is where most of these meshes come from. Photon, Sentinel and Diehard are from there, but I did some hex/skope work on two of them. Shaft is a skope I did and Psifire is just a skin.
Namorita is actually a tommyboy mesh, so she's always been available, too.
Should be zipped and ready to go by the weekend, after I finish one more skin request... hopefully it won't take too long to complete.

Fearsome Five definitely needed the love! I was going to do the Masters of Disaster with them, but went off on a tangent with Crazy Quilt and Rainbow Raider.. you can blame that Brave and the Bold episode with Crazy Quilt in it.
Actually, I do have a question.. I want to complete the Brotherhood of Evil. I have a great Plasmus and Phobia skin and I did Warp, but my problem is Houngan. Fusion did a Houngan mesh (which can't be altered) but the wiremap is way off so what I'm asking for is a round headpiece that goes behind his neck. And maybe those horns? Are those available anywhere?
(http://media.comicvine.com/uploads/0/229/95487-191948-houngan_large.jpg)
Something like this? Though I enlarge the back piece since snapping this pic.
(http://i170.photobucket.com/albums/u256/drchallenger/Houngan.jpg)
That is great. Love the doll.
Yeah, that is good.
I love your Scandal skin, but which keyframes do you use for the mesh for it? The only ones I can get to work are the Marvel_girl_2 keyframes, but they REALLY distort the mesh.
Whoa ... how did you make the little doll?
Ancient Chinese secret....
No, actually I simply pasted the doll from Tommyboy's Puppetmaster mesh, onto the Ankh node on Syn's Doctor Strangefate mesh.
I said a while back that I'd work on this guy and I did. I started it a while back so it's very unfinished.

Massive thanks to Miguelyanke who did the great skope. It's based on Punisher_TJ.. by TexasJack, naturally.. and so it has a bunch of cool guns to choose from.
And hopefully me showing this will get another skinner to finally reveal/release their awesome take on Harpoon from the Marauders. ;)
Holy crap! I missed them one when I did my first rounds! I really like the way Scalphunter came out.
That looks really good LP. :)
This does look really good. I can't wait to see it finished and released !
... and by the way, I don't feel targeted at all by your comments in this thread. :P
The Marauders are a cool bunch of villains. You did a fine job on Scalphunter LP. :)
Great Scalphunter. Can't wait to kill that dude in the rumble room!
Thanks everyone, I'm glad it's being received well. We definitely need that Marauders love, and it'll be cool that C6 is doing an original Sabretooth.

Very nice. Scalphunter is one character who always looked really tough to do to me.
Sweet LP! :thumbup:
Nice one ... Scalphunter was always my favourite Marauder :thumbup:

There's something about Box that I feel is missing in the skin, but I cannot place it. Anybody got any suggestions?

Taliman is great but I see what you are saying about Box. He looks a little unfinished especially when compared to Talisman. Maybe adding some rivets and other pseudo mechanical parts can help break up the flatness of the maroon.
Both look pretty good. Nice and clean.
Honestly I barely know Box so can't really suggest anything.
Seems like I remember a version of Box with a fancier belt...
Talisman! :thumbup:
She looks really good. Nice job, LP!
What reference pic are you using for Box, LP?
This is one I found on Wiki:
http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/7/79/Boxiv.png (http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/7/79/Boxiv.png)
Awwww...Alpha Flight Love! Gotta love some Alpha Flight! Very nice, LP!
Dana
They both look great LP. I'm not too familiar with Box but he's always had a relatively simple design and it looks like you nailed it.
Wonderful work on Tailaman and Box, I am happy to see a great looking Box skin as he rarely gets any love out there. Even though that is how he generaly looks, I would think that skin would benifit from some metal type lines (like you have on the red arm pieces) on his chest and leg pieces but verticle instead of horizontal.
Box in the refernece picture has his muscles outlined in black (e.g., thighs and neck.) Maybe that is what you are missing? Looks okay to me.
Yup. I think more muscle definition and maybe a darker lightmap. But what you have done so far absolutely ROCKS.
So I was going to redo the Zodiac skins.. and I actually started on a few.. but then I figured.. why not skin my favorite comic of character of all time, Magik? And then, I thought, what's Magik without some friends?
(http://i63.photobucket.com/albums/h137/excelsior420/newmutants.jpg)
I'm not sure if I'll do the rest of them, but we'll see. :)
Oh, I seem to be having a problem with Sunspot. I tried using Ink's Sunspot, but it has a belt that cannot be hexed off. Then I tried using vxHuman_Torch, but the black circles won't show up.. I'm thinking mesh fx's have a problem registered black-colored fx's. Anyone offer a suggestion?
----------
Thanks everyone for the feedback on Box. I started adding some rivets and seams on his chest, but it didn't look right on him.. I'm going to release him as is in the picture. I tried darkening the parts on the lined metal parts, but it's the reflection that makes it look brighter.
Ink did a Sunspot?
I'm glad to see these guys get some loving. :)
AIE! Looking nice, LP. YOu should send those to me and never upload them for anyone else. Special privilege for Prev, right?
As for fx, it's an alpha problem. The game doesn't accept black without modifying the nif to accept "solid" colors. By default, black affects how transparent the effects are.
I meant to say Sunspot by Valandar! Sorry about that.
Thanks for the head's up, Prev. I think I can get it working.
Not upload them to anyone else? It's tempting, I hate writing read_me files...
very noice :cool:
I did a Sunspot_hex/skope based on humantorch with alphaenabled effects plus el_diablo KFs... he looks wonderful for sunspot
awesome skins especially magik
Human_torch_black by Beyonder and hexxed by MikeB7, perhaps? http://www.fxforce.com/OTHERHexes2.html
I did a very basic version of Sunspot, and used that Human Torch Black mesh. It looks decent.
Awesome Alpha Flight releases LP :blink:
Oh no I was beaten to the punch! New mutants were so on my 'next' list. Meh still need to finish X-Force sometime this decade.
But great work, I like how you got all the little details. No Magma?
Also some skoping work could really help with stuff like Sam's goggles, maybe give everyone the same boots and gloves.
Thanks, folks. I got the Sunspot issue all squared away and Bevo was kind enough to give me a vx version of a fixed mesh that I will be making available soon as well.
I don't know about creating Magma or the others just yet.. I may, though. Time will tell. I actually added those same boots/gloves to the Sunspot skope I released. I didn't add goggles to this particular costume because I haven't seen a pic of him with the goggles.
Here's a bonus Katana skin! This was my favorite of her costumes.
(http://i63.photobucket.com/albums/h137/excelsior420/katana.jpg)
great skins LP...where can I download your work. Also, when will you release the Talisman and Box skins?

I redid Diamond Lil (My first attempt was trash, I say!) and there's the rest of Omega Flight (for now).
I will be doing Wild Child's original look, just need to find an appropriate skope.
An amazing original Box skin was created by C6, but I don't know if it's going to be released. If it doesn't, I'll skin that too.
Sweeeet! I love Omega Flight ... John Byrne's Alpha Flight was what I read as a kid.
Omega Flight! :cool:
Nice work here LP! I'm probably going to release Box at the Champions of Freedom launch in 2012 :P...so you should probably go ahead and skin him anyway.
Fantastic skins LP! Flashback was on my to do list, so you just saved me some time and probably did a better job too. :thumbup:
Omega Flight are one of my favorite team of villains. I really like your choice of characters.
Merci, merci!
I've got a lot more Alpha Flight and Alpha Flight-related characters on my list of characters to create.
Thanks for the head's up about Box, Court.
awesome skins :thumbup:
Great Flight characters LP. I look forward to seeing Box.
I like Alpha Flight, too. Can't wait to see them.

Fantastic Wild Child :cool:
oh do I hate my old vxwigs... :thumbdown:
Amazing Alpha and Omega Flight skins, LP...I'm a big fan of Alpha Flight...It's nice to see them get some love.
Dana
Awesome stuff. Smart Alec is definitely my favorite so far, but the promise of getting all the Flights together leaves me wanting a Yukon Jack skin/skope...or some kind of ridiculous effects-laden Saint Elmo! He's like a big shiny, bald Santa Claus!
Thanks for the kind words, I'm glad people are diggin' them.
I was also a big fan of John Byrne's run, and a large part after that.. the Dream Queen storyline is one of my favorites.
I was also a big fan of the second volume, with Radius and Murmur.. so I may skin some of those, down the line.
The third volume, though? Not so much. :thumbdown:
LP, you did a great job with this old school Wild Child! :blink:
I can't wait to download him and put him in my game.

Wild Child = :thumbup: although I wish someone would do the John Byrne version (pale hair, almost no nose, hair braid).
I regret to say that WildChild is only for :ffvstr: :( There are pieces in there, I've learned, that were never available for :ff:

resent it. It is not terrible but it probably could be better. Pass it on to a better skoper if yer a mind to beardinlairs new shoulders need to see the light.
Nice work on Wild Child's face LP!
I also like the shiny effect you did on Silver and Auric. Their hair and faces look good too. :cool:

dont forget beardinlair for those shoulders. I think those will be used in alot of stuff.
really nice skin/skope to the pair of you. my only suggestion would be to add some highlightes to the skirt so that it matches the boots and top. otherwise, really good colaboration.
I intended to actually do more to the skirt and kind of forgot about it. I'll see if I go back to it and make it look better. Thanks for the input!

So.. I finally created an avatar.
Spoiler
(http://i63.photobucket.com/albums/h137/excelsior420/saturnking1.jpg)
I created a skope to make Chaos from the Amalgam universe (He and Iceberg, actually), and I loved the skope so much that I used the basic premise to skope my avatar.
Then this made me think of my first skin ever.. which was Zero from the MLF.. and I wanted to do a comparison from then to now.

She was in the Alpha Flight comic for awhile.. and even managed to become part of the main team when they faced supernatural villians if I remember. The one issue I recall was when Alpha Flight found a whole town of murdered people and discovered the little girl that survived was actually possessed by a demon.

Yeah, that's the Dream Queen storyline.. it was so good.
Witchfire was mostly from Alpha Flight, as mentioned. The Canadian government disbanded Alpha Flight and created Gamma Flight to take its place.. Witchfire, Silver, Auric, Nemesis and Wild Child were Gamma Flight. After a while, the government absorbed the two teams into one and blah blah blah. Witchfire was last seen during X-Infernus, where she battled Magik for control of Limbo. It's been revealed that Witchfire is the daughter of Belasco.

I really like Saturn King's design and name a lot.
Nice Saturn King avatar design there LP. Kinda reminds me a little bit of Pinhead in Hellraiser though. :P
But why Saturn King? I think he could pass for a Laughing Paradox avatar too. The big grin, the conflicting colors of black and white. :)
Really digging the Saturn King design. Good work!

By the way, skins look great man!
They are all very nice LP! My fave is (of course) the Houngan skin.
hey! THAT SABRA RULES!!! ^_^
Always improving LP, nice skins.
Hitman, I like your idea of using "laughing paradox" as a description, or addendum, to his name. Good call on that.
Thanks for the input, folks. I appreciate that people are diggin' the stuff.
:thumbup:
You're definitely getting better in my opinion LP.

So.. I have to say, I've been inspired to rock some skins.

Yay Bengal!
Great work on the newest batch. Very impressive us eof colour. And the skopes....wow.

Hawk and Dove
I'll be releasing everything this weekend, including those female_basic on male mesh skopes.
Ohh! I'm not a fan of the characters, but that is a fantastic use of that skoping technique. Some nice skins here, LP. I really like that tiger guy!
Did you get you get the capes from Fidelo's male versions of those characters? If so, there might be a problem releasing them, just to let you know. The skins look really good however.
they look good LP :cool:
Cool, love Hawk and Dove... not familiar with them as females tho :D
though i really like the skins, i can't in good concious fairly critique them, Hank Hall is the one true Hawk and any pretenders will not be acknowledged... :P
Really love Hawk and Dove
I'm really liking the Hawk & Dove, LP; but, unless I recall incorrectly, doesn't Hawk have like a bob 'do? Otherwise I really like the way they came out; good job on those 2 :)
Clever! Nice work, LP :thumbup:
Nice, glad to see those two skinned.
Great job with the skins/skopes LP! It seems you're getting pretty good with nifskope. :cool:
Bengal stands out for me on these latest bunch. Making those tiger stripes must have been hard. :P
Thanks folks!
The reference picture I had for Hawk had semi-similar hair.. I added the bangs because I liked the way it looked, but she had basically straight, long hair.
Thankfully, I didn't have to do those tiger stripes by hand.. thank god for custom brushes for Photoshop! :)
I got a bunch of stuff to reveal.. including a lot of updated Suicide Squad skopes/skins, so I figured I'd wait to release everything until those were all ready.
Hey LP.
Currently digging your Rainbow Raider but I think you should know that there is something wrong with it.
The insides of his shoulderpads are seethrough so when one looks at it from the side it looks a bit strange.
Otherwise you just keep on rocking :thumbup:
Thanks, Trivia. Those shoulder pads were like that.. I may update it with new shoulder pads, but much, much later.

:o How did you manage to convince Murs to skin Captain Marvel for you? Must have been expensive. :P
Nice work on these skins LP. Great job on the costume cuts on Murmur, the checkered costume work on Harlequin, the little details on Paladin (plus i like the costume so..) and the skoping/skinning work on Gamecock (had to look him up). Does Javelin have a javelin range attack? :)
Fantastic work on all of these LP. I especially like Paladin, he looks great.
You are a skinning machine! :blink:
Nice work here. Paladin is my favorite but Gamecock is fun looking.
I have to agree, Paladin is my favorite too but what's up with his gun?
I do not know what a Gamecock is but he makes Wolverine look lame in comparison.
Captain Marvel and Paladin are my favs ... Gamecock, I am unfamiliar with. But I have to find out what the deal is with that costume! :lol:
really nice textures LP .. you have improve so much :thumbup:
..gamecock is one of scourge's victims i forgot what vol.. it was
Thanks, folks!
You can find information on Gamecock here: http://www.marvunapp.com/Appendix3/gamecockcap.htm
He was a Captain America villain.
Ha! Gamecock. Man I love obscure characters.
Gosh, it really seems like a cartoony style is taking hold. Javelin looks really nice. Simple, but effective. These are skins that will stand out when you are actually playing the game.

Cool ... I like that Umbra!
Those ladies are AWESOME! :thumbup:
They are all beautiful, LP. Congrats!
Your Dawnstar is just perfect!
omg DAWNSTAR :P
I really like the style your work is evolving into, especially the eyes.
Very cool stuff there LP. AA is right?your skinning style is evolving nicely. I?ll offer a little critique however. The skin color on both Dawnstar and Umbra I think could do with some adjustment. They both look a little grayish and washed out?especially Dawnstar. Dawnstars outfit also could be a bit more ?yellow?. ?Pump up? the blue tones for Umbra. Dream Girl looks perfect. ;)
Thanks!
I appreciate the critique about the skin tone... it's probably an issue with contrast that I can fix when I get around to messing with it again.
And c'mon guys! That's Shadow Lass! :)
Those are very nice. I think I like the Dream Girl best.
I've released some Legion stuff as well as other things I haven't previewed yet, like Batroc and Swordsman.

Your Legionnaires are masterpieces, LP!!!! Hope you do more of them in the future, I would love see your versions to Superboy and Supergirl, among others!

Nice job, it looks like your highlight work is coming along very well.
These last two are amazing LP. You've 'got it' now for colours! they just pop!

Those are great ... my favourite skins for those characters actually!
One thing ... is it possible for you to skope the keyframes for Freedom Force villain Rising Sun onto that Katana mesh? Those keyframes are slick and extremely under-utilised for sword-wielding characters.
i like HALO S Hair.... :thumbup:
Thanks, everyone! Glad you enjoy'em.. they'll be available for release soon enough.. got some other skopes out there being tinkered with and I'll release them all together.

Unfortunately, I wouldn't be able to use those keyframes for this skope.. they aren't compatible.. I used Ink's X-treme Psylocke as the base, which I really like because those keyframes use both melee attacks with and without swords.
Could one of those your about to be released be Scalphunter? That and Black Widow are the ones I can't get soon enough.
Black Widow evolved from me making the simple gray costume to include variations of a few others all in one skope. I'm waiting on a fellow skoper, who hopefully can make her arm bracelets look more like pneumatic tubes and less like a block wristband, before it will be released. Same deal with the Black Cat.

Good stuff LP! :thumbup:
Love the extra details you included with Widow skope.
Nice stuff, especially like the Red Guardian.

Thanks everyone! Glad you dig them.. I need to work on some Outsider villains now..
(http://i63.photobucket.com/albums/h137/excelsior420/HellionsLP1.jpg)
I know the original Hellions had more of a reddish costume, but I love the purple look in the Necrosha storyline, so I went with that. That last person on the top right is Firestar.. I know she was an unofficial member, figured I'd just add her into the mix. These should be available soon.
Awesome, LP. It's nice to see Warpath get so much love in the past few months. :P. Since you skinned Firestar, why didja neglect Magma? What, is she not fiery enough for you? BAH! ^^.
Wow those look great. Good job.
I've always thought they were more purple than red anyways... Very cool stuff!
Nice job! I've been thinking about diggin out :ffvstr: again. This is a strong reason to do so. :)
Wow, those Hellions look really nice! Can't wait to download them. :thumbup:
Excellent skins LP!

Excelent.
Did you add Jetstrea a Jet in his back?
If you want to, my recommendation is Jik's Megaman mesh, which has a jet pack that pops ot of the back.
I did forget Magma, huh? I guess I'll have to remember her when I do the original New Mutants. ;)
There is definitely a jetpack on Jetstream.. he's a hexed down Nick_Fury_Gren. The animation on that Megaman mesh is perfect, but unfortunately my skoping ability isn't good enough to add that to Jetstream.
Thanks for the positive feedback, everyone. I'm debating if I should release them individually or as a big Hellions pack.
Impressive work, as always. The diversity of characters make your site one of the best!
Congrats!
work like these makes me wish I still focused on skinning.
Thanks for the encouraging words. I may have a new skope for Jetstream (of the Hellions), courtesy of DoctorChallenger, so that could be showing up soon.
As some of you may know, I had started some of these a long time ago and never finished it because I wasn't adept enough, but I finally slapped some acceptable skins on these and am ready to release them. (After I zip them up, do the read me files, etc.)

l to r. - Arclight, Scrambler, Scalphunter, Sabretooth, Blockbuster
(Scalphunter skope created by Miguelyanke, Sabretooth skope created by DoctorChallenger.. some modifications on both skopes by me)
Wow, I really like both Scrambler and Sabertooth. These all look great, though.
Great work once again LP. Great to see Sabertooth's original look.
Awesome! I have been waiting for you to finish Scalphunter for a while. Is the Sabertooth a skope of the Sabertoothclassic or is it all new?
Whoah! Finally we have a Scalphunter done by a professional! I can now dump that crappy skope I did and replace it with a far better one! Thanks for theses, LP!
I quit reading X-Men when this story started, but these skins and skopes are so cool that I actually want to read that story. Great job.
I just gotta pile more love onto that nice Sabretooth skin you did. It looks great, and I love the original costume. Nice.
That Scalphunter is so blasted cool - Will you be making Prism & Omega Sentinel from the Marauders? :blink:
all skins looks great :thumbup:
Thanks guys. :thumbup: That Scalphunter skope is :ffvstr: only, btw. They'll be released soon.

I was not planning on skinning Omega Sentinel or Prism, actually.. I just use the default for male_crystal69 for Prism.
Yea that's not a bad idea - I'll just smudge some slight colors to the base skin & it should look fine - To bad about Omega though - I don't have her in the collection yet - Always like your versions :blink:
Great job on all your latest skins LP and I like this new style you're using/developing. :)
The improvements you've made on Scalphunter's costume really paid off. He looks better than ever and just the way i remembered him. :cool:
Keep up the great work. ;)
So I wanted to redo some of my old skins and update them, and the Soviet Supreme caught my eye.
(http://i63.photobucket.com/albums/h137/excelsior420/soviets1.jpg)
The Crimson Dynamo skope was made by Johnny Patches. Red Guardian pictured was created by Renegade and Courtnall 6.. just added to complete the team.
Dude, sweet! A new Crimson Dynamo mesh! Ive been wanting an update for years!
A new Crimson Dynamo choke !!!! :thumbup:
Great job.
Damn nice LP. That is one sweet Crimson Dynamo.
You have done such a great job with many second-list characters and groups that I'm truly grateful.
Wonderful work, indeed.
Thank you.
IThey're released now at the site (http://sardonicparadox.web.officelive.com/default.aspx) along with these two skins.
(http://i63.photobucket.com/albums/h137/excelsior420/spiderprowl.jpg)
Wow! Gorgeous Spider Woman, LP!
That's one less FF'r I was going to need to do. Nice Spider-Woman.
Awesome Prowler LP :thumbup: Been waiting to see a skin with the pnuematic tubes on his costume
That is a great Prowler, indeed.
the prowler's always been a classic favorite.great job LP! couple ideas came to mind with him. he needs his big metal clawed gloves and the ren owlman kf's would be perfect for him.especially the ranged attacks!never was a fan of the new spiderwoman but yours looks good!
Wow, that's a really cool-looking Prowler!
God, I must finish his Spider-Man FoF voicepack soon...
Glad you folks like them! :)
Here is Skids.. I had to take a picture from the game because the shield surrounding her makes pieces invisible in the Character Tool.
(http://i63.photobucket.com/albums/h137/excelsior420/skids.jpg)
Very neat.
That IS neat. How'd you make that bubble?
Thanks.
The bubble is from an FX that I skoped on. You could do it with any circle shape, though.. attach it to the mesh, adjust the size, and mess with the 'coloring' in nifskope.. making sure it's alpha'd.
That's a clever way of doing a different "aura" effect.
Cool stuff, LP. But isn't Skids force field more like an aura rather than a bubble? You could copy an aura from one of the many meshes with an aura. You might need to adjust the size to fit her though.
I think the aura depends on what era she's from. My quick idea/suggestion is that she get skoped onto disco Dazzler. I remember from the X-Factor days that she didn't walk so much as slide with her force field and Dazzler's roller skate keysframes might give the effect.
that would be a perfect force field fx for the invisable woman!
I like the idea of using the Dazzler_Disco mesh, so I'll skope that up. Good call.
That IS an fx for Invisible Woman.
I'm starting to really do the characters I haven't done yet that I've really wanted to.. the list is expansive.
On top of that list are the original New Mutants.
(http://i63.photobucket.com/albums/h137/excelsior420/newmutants-1.jpg)
I've omitted Magma and Wolfsbane as they are not done yet.. but will be.
Generation X, which I've kind of started, is on the back burner for now.
I've been able to skope up some of the Resistants and those should be done soon, too, as most of the grunt work is done.
(http://i63.photobucket.com/albums/h137/excelsior420/resistants.jpg)
All critiques are welcome.
Sweet stuff dude! :cool:
The new mutants look great!I can't wait to see the rest :thumbup:
New Mutants look good, but I'd to see Sam's face. Didn't realize who that was for a second. No Doug?
Metal work on Illyana looks really good.
Who the blazes is that guy riding the rock & the guy with metal lobster claws - I want to buy some comics that stars these guys - There to funny looking to be excluded from my comic collection - Great work on the New Mutants :blink:
Wow LP, there are tons of good looking characters that you have been doing lately, The Marauders are great looking, as are the Soviets and the Hellions, well they all are, there is just so much I have missed since last August I have alot of downloading ahead of me! Pardon me for doing a readers digest info blurb (not many people remember these guys or seen much of them in other titles)...
They are members of the Resistance.. a team made up of mutants that publicly protested the mutant registration act during that time period (this was before the Fall Of The Mutants and during the period X-Factor first appeared) but most of their appearances was within the pages of
Captain America (Edit: the first being
#343 & 346, I believe). While most of the membership were unknown mutants, the core was former members of Mutant Force (Burner, Lifter, Peeper, Shocker, and Slither) and they recruited their initial membership from mutants they rescued from prison or being transported there. Mentallo was rescued by a small team during a prison transport and joined their group under the name Think Tank. They caught the attention of Freedom Force who planned a false trial for Quicksilver to lure them into a trap but ended up being ambushed by the unstable John Walker (who was still serving as Captain America and had just seen his parents murdered in front of him by the Watchdogs). Needless to say that John tore into the Resistance members present without restraint and almost all of them ended up in critical condition in the hospital. The Resistance appeared every once in awhile either protesting in the background or on a mission to rescue another mutant being sent away. They made their final appearance in an Anniversary issue of Captain America when the mysterious villain funding their group was revealed.
Most Known Membership:
- Burner/Crucible (Byron Calley): Has the ability to create heat and fire from his hands.
- Lifter/Meteorite (Ned Lathrop): Can manipulate gravity, increasing his density, durability and strength and negate gravity on other
objects, making them fly. (*guy on floating rock above) - Mist Mistress: Can create and control various types of mists like knock-out gas, acidic mists and toxic mists.
- Quill: Body was covered with sharp quills that he could fire at opponents.
- Peeper/Occult/Peepers (Peter Quinn): Has increased visual abilities and can fire beams of energy from his eyes.
- Rust: Could fire blasts from his hands that corroded metal.
- Shocker/Paralyzer (Randall Darby): Could fire electric blasts from his hands or grab an opponent and shock them directly. His hands were crab-like claws. (*guy with clawed hands above)
- Slither (Aaron Salomon): Has a snake-like body, allowing him to constrict opponents with great force. He also has minor superhuman strength.
- Think Tank (Marvin Flumm): Better known as the telepath Mentallo. He was only a member of the Resistants for a short time.
However when Mentallo was taken to the Resistance base camp they had up to a few dozen mutants making their home there and many of them wearing uniforms like they were waiting to leave on a mission or had just come back from one. So there is lots of room to be creative if you want to expand on random members of the teams that heroes encounter.

I'll release a Cypher with the rest of them.
----
The Resistants were pretty cool.. and to be honest, that whole era of Captain America was the best. The government took away Captain America's title and shield from Steve Rogers, so he ran around as the Captain (and fall in love with a vilainess!) and had to fight the Serpent Squad while the new Cap (the eventual USAgent) ends up practically killing the Resistants all by himself.. great read.
Everything looks good but didn't Sam have more of cropped haircut during the 80's? I know once he had the goggles outfit he had longer hair but during his school uniform phase he was more clean cut.
I left that hair piece on Cannonball so it can be compatible with others skins, like the ones by Podmark. It was just easier to keep it, in the long run.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Due to my reading a bunch of old issues of Captain America really inspiring me to do it, I realized I should redo the Serpent Society. They were some of the first characters I've skinned and could all benefit from an update.
(http://i63.photobucket.com/albums/h137/excelsior420/Society.jpg)(http://i63.photobucket.com/albums/h137/excelsior420/society2.jpg)
I am wondering if anyone could perhaps suggest a better knee/elbow pad for the Black Racer (female with green hair)?
For me the color work is extremely strong on all of these and it's fantastic. My favorite is Cottonmouth.
If you're looking for knee pads that look like this:
http://www.marvunapp.com/Appendix4/blackracerss.htm
Then TommyBoy's comedian_tf mesh has knee pads that look similar:
http://www.tommyboymeshes.freedomforceforever.com/DC%20meshes%20C2.html
Btw, great job those skins. I like Asp and Coachwhip.
Great stuff... I've been wanting to build a good serpent society (thanks to Tommyboy) and sweet skins are a huge plus. I agree about your colors, very rich but not just smeared there, I can very much see the gradients and shadows.
Thank you.. I appreciate the comments.
And double thanks for the suggestion on the knee/elbow pads, Trajik. Those are exactly what I was looking for.
I was on a compiling groups kick a little while back and decided to do the Serpent Society. Luckily, I found your stuff and downloaded everything. These are quite an improvement and I can't wait to update my heroes. Thanks a lot.
Aghhhh I love the Serpent Society - I was pleased with your older skins but these are on a whole new level - Yet another reason to keep playing FF :blink:
argh....i love this skins.... :D
Argh! Yeah, you are totally getting better. Nice colours! I especially dig that purple and Black Racer's teal. Oh boy, I love teal!
Argh! Teal is awesome!
Argh!...I mean wow! Great job with the Resistants and Serpent Society
argh Here's Zealot, from WildCATS.
Spoiler
(http://i63.photobucket.com/albums/h137/excelsior420/zealotx.jpg)
And some Coda assassins, cuz Zealot needs to beat someone up.
(http://i63.photobucket.com/albums/h137/excelsior420/codax.jpg)
I'm not in total love with the circular bands around Zealot's shoulder, if any may have a suggestion.
I can't decide if I should finish the Serpent Society or get into some WildCATS/Cyberforce/Youngblood zone. I've always intended to do a lot of those characters at some point and I don't wanna see Zealot get lonely.
CATS!
I was just thinking someone should skin them. Zealot looks very good.
Thats a sweet-arse Zealot there.
I like the little finger bands. Nice attention to detail. And I dont have a problem with the arm bands, myself. Costume consistency never seemed to be a big thing with the Image comics.
I kinda notice the expression on the face there. She looks bored or sleepy or something.
That Zealot is fan'freakin'tastic!
Love the wildcats!
love the zealot. any plans to do any more wildcats?
i know that this is a bot late, but i'm really glad to see that the resistants got their own custom skopes. really well done.
Thanks for the input, everybody.
I'll just go ahead and do the WildCats, then. I already started a Grifter skope, so I may as well finish it.
Cyberforce and Youngblood shouldn't be too far behind, hopefully.
The Serpent Society will be taking a sabbatical, but I'll upload what I've got done soon.
cool skins love the colors and zealot looks specially great
Never was a Wildcats fan, but your characters are great, LP! The details on Zealot's armor are stunning!
Spartan and Grifter
(http://i63.photobucket.com/albums/h137/excelsior420/wc1.jpg)
I want to do some work to Spartan's face.. and change up Grifter's chest straps.. make them match the belt. We'll see.
And a request: Does anyone have any ideas for chest straps used by Warblade?
(http://media.comicvine.com/uploads/1/15776/675277-warblade1_large.jpg)
That tubular harness that goes over and under his shoulders.. I'd rather skope than skin it.
Holy moly LP! Those are great! I especially like Hadrian.
Nice job on both of them.
Can't really think of any tubes like that. You could take just two standard ring pieces and maybe position and size them into place.
Maybe give Tommyboy's superboy_prime_armour_tvlite mesh a look. There are a good number of tubes in that one that you may be able to manipulate. The tube's coming over the shoulder in that mesh look like they'll work pretty well without a ridiculous amount of editing.
Damn, dude. Look at those skins! Theyre amazing!
Id love to see a Warblade. I dont think characters outside of the Big Two get enough love.
Any chance of us getting some of the Majestic/Tao era Wildcats? Id love to see a Condition Red by you, dude.
Thanks for the suggestion of Superboy Prime, hoss. That could possibly be exactly what I need.
And yeah! Nice to see some fellow WildCATS fans.. Image was pretty cool when it started up. Sort of. Youngblood, Cyberforce, Spawn and Wildcats were good.. didn't get much into Brigade and Bloodstrike and Strikeblood and StrikeBrigade and Brigadeblood.
I'm focusing on the original team of WildCATS members now.. the second incarnation, with Condition Red and Tao, was pretty cool.. and I'd love to rock out an awesome Ladytron (Prometheus by Syn has a perfect mouthpiece for her) but I won't be able to start any of them any time soon. Too many other characters I want to do after this Image burst.
Theres actually some pretty nice skins for a special Ladytron/ Female Mohawk mesh by Zuludelta.
Oh, and by the way, I dont think you have to bother with Cyberforce too much. AKA, team fulla Wolverines number 427. Creative....Image wasnt.
Oh hey, you could do a Cybernary hex/skin! You know, an mesh that actually, really adhered to the figures you see in Rob Leifeld drew would probably look nightmarish...
Not do Cyberforce? But..
What about Gren's female_basic_speedster kf's?
Goldstar is great, but maybe she could have a happier face? I read about 2 or 3 stories with her but she looked like the "happy heroine" type.
Thanks to Benton's requests, I got inspired to skope up and skin an updated Mantis.
I've already uploaded it, with an updated Clea and Prowler skope (added it to Owlman_REN, thanks to herodad's or area's suggestion). Download them here. (http://sardonicparadox.web.officelive.com/default.aspx)
I've tackled some of Grenadier's meshes, like Box and Diamond Lil. Smart Alec, too. Those are available (not Smart Alec yet) at the Champions site. Does that make me a member in the shadows? :ph34r:
My list of upcoming things to do, besides the things I promised (April O'Neil WILL be done!), will include more random stuff, like a fair amount of the Femizons (one of my favorite Captain America storylines ever) and members from the original Contest of Champions, like Shamrock, American Eagle, Blitzkrieg, Peregrine, couple of others. I'm going to finish the WildCATS, too.. I just need to complete that Warblade skope.
Looks good.
I really don't like the character, but the skin is just great, LP! Congrats! In fact, it's so good that it almost made me want to use mantis
I'm waiting for a Ladytron...
By the way, If you want I can send you a version of your Prowler that has rope swinging animations. When you said it was based off of Owlman that meant it could use my Batman keys.
We really need a female mesh with toes! :huh:
Thanks! Ladytron will be done one day. I'd definitely like to try out those keyframes you've got.
And a female mesh with toes would rock! I tried skinning the toes, but it ended badly. I could use that same mesh for Calypso.. if I can ever get her skoped. :(
...and now this thread has got me looking at pictures of M.A.N.T.I.S....
Great looking Mantis Lp, I love the face and the crisp lines you gave her (But I think she does need toes). I am looking forward to your obscure Contest of Champions and Femazons you got in the works. I have old (but good) versions of Shamrock, American Eagle, Blitzkrieg and La Peregrine if you wanted to check them out too.
Hey, don't forget about Collective Man. :lol:
(http://i63.photobucket.com/albums/h137/excelsior420/contestchamps.jpg)
We got Le Peregrine, Arabian Knight, Talisman and American Eagle.
I wonder what suggestions could be made for Peregrine's mesh. I have him now on a Nighthawk_Def_Gren mesh but I'm confused by Peregrine's depiction. Sometimes he's got a cape and other times it's an under-armed variant. Arabian Knight also gave me a little trouble, as his turban lost its shape when I skoped it onto a Silver_Surfer_Gren mesh, but I like the animations for him better on that skope, so it's a win/lose. That skope of American Eagle.. the credit goes to Johnny Patches. I just moved it to Connor_Hawke_Gren.
I've still got a few more to do before they're released, like Collective Man, Blitzkrieger and Shamrock. Oh, and Defensor. Are there any I'm missing?
For the Arabian Knight, I think the the tv meshes have a turban that could be skoped.
Did the turban lose shape in the transfer or was it a case that you had to move it and then it changed shape?
Thanks for the suggestion, Amazo.
The turban shape, as well as the puffy pants, on the Arabian Knight mesh is part of male_basic, not a separate piece. When I pasted it in the Silver Surfer mesh, the pants stayed the same but the turban shape went to a regular male_basic head shape.
Man those are cool LP, I'm especially digging the American Eagle! :cool:
You should try the turbin(sic) piece from the Pulp Versatile. It's a separate piece but it maps to the top of the head on the male_basic.tga.
Those look real good LP, that La Peregrine looks especially nice, that is how I would expect him to look. I don't think there are any other characters other than those mentioned from the original Contest series. You already have a great Sabra/Vanguard/Darkstar out there and the rest of the characters have been done a dozen times over. I am itchin' to run the Contest of Champions in the rumble room now!
Not just the amount, but the quality as well. The colors just pop out at you. Incredible!
Thanks. I'm glad you are enjoying them as much as I am. :thumbup:
I forgot to release Defensor.. it's for :ffvstr: only. It's available now, though.
(http://i48.tinypic.com/2je7per.jpg)
I'm still looking for a good mesh base for Collective Man, but he'll be done to complete the set.
Really nice work there. As for the Collective Man (he's a multiplier right?), maybe a hex of Vertex's Zoom mesh? CHeck out FXForce, there may be some options there.
Masterful Defensor LP. Great, great armor look you got going on there!
So.. I've decided to carry on that international vibe that I've been working on, and I chose an obscure team that I loved in the JLI/E books.. so I started on them.
(http://i63.photobucket.com/albums/h137/excelsior420/globalguardians.jpg)
We got Owlwoman, Thunderlord and Impala of the Global Guardians. I intend to do the others.. but who knows how many more? I'm also going to revise my Vanguard skin.. you'll see why in a few days.
Awww, man. I just downloaded your Vanguard skin. Hey, check out your "Skoping help?" thread. The Bushmaster skope is done, just awaiting your approval.
Impressive work, LP.
Great color on Defensor, specially the metal parts.
Loved the Guardians, too, specially Owlwoman.
I skinned up Hoss' great Bushmaster skope and released it at my site (http://sardonicparadox.web.officelive.com/default.aspx), along with the Global Guardians I've done: Owlwoman, Thunderlord, Bushmaster, Rising Sun and Impala.
(http://i31.tinypic.com/2ezprg1.jpg)
Serpent Soceity is getting alot of love Latly :blink:
That's because the Serpent Society is the best! :P
Great job LP. Downloading right now :)
great skin especially bush master :thumbup:
You've got a massive amount of quality work that you're pouring out here LP. I look forward to seeing what's next.
Thanks a lot, everyone. I've started on Starhawk from the Global Guardians.. gotta skope out some other members of the team so they can be complete.
Very nice work here, LP. I don't really know these guys, but they've got some nice skins. I think that Thunderlord fella is my favorite! Really nice work on his chest.
Some more Guardians.. of the Galaxy, this time around.
(http://i63.photobucket.com/albums/h137/excelsior420/gotg.jpg)
I'd like to skope up Aleta with having light disks when she flies, but my skope-fu is at a low point. The others classic Guardians of the Galaxy should be coming along.. eventually. Nikki is giving me a problem, but I think I can figure that out.
I'm curious, would Charlie-27 be more of a male_heavy effects guy or a MHV_Juggernaut_Gren without the helmet guy?
i'd go MHV_juggernaut. better kf options and good proportions. glad the guardians are getting your skinning attention LP! another mesh to consider would be gren's male_hulking_rhino. charlie was pretty husky/massive and only around 6 ft. rhino mesh is also short/chunky. if jugg's kf's worked for the rhino mesh it would be sweet. MHV kf's are better than the hulking kf's. maybe when gren gets better he'll make some improved hulking kf's.i really like mhv_juggs straight punch. his new box has cool kf's also. sorry LP...I'M RAMBLING.
Looking good, LP.
I'd go with Male_hulking_Juggernaut for Charlie 27, or a mesh along those lines.
These look good LP. As for Charlie 27, he always seemed to be drawn differently, but I would agree with herodad, the MHV meshes may currently be your best option. Another possible option would maybe be Johnny Patches male_heavy skopes.
Great work, LP. I especially like the blue fellow. :)
Wow, LP! The colors are stunning! Starhawk and Aleta's costumes are just perfect!
Ah sweet, classic Guardians of the Galaxy! Good job.
I'll skin him on the MHV mesh by Grenadier, then. Thanks for the input, everyone.
excellent. is that a skope for Starhawk. The wings have always been hard to create because they move while in flight.
I'd go with JP's male heavy for Charlie 27 and really awesome work there LP. I do think that you need to give Aleta's hair a little more attention though. ;)
So I haven't really created anything in a while (bought a new laptop, no working Nifskope), but thanks to that wonderful mind of Hoss, I was able to fix my Nifskope problems.
I had already kind of halfheartedly started on a Dazzler skin a while ago, but with nifskope available to me again, I decided to kick it up a notch.
Click the second Dazzler image and you can see the lighting effects I skoped onto the Dazzler mesh. (Skope is :ffvstr: only, skin is for both games)
I also started crackin' on an Amazon warrior using Sif_Gren as a base.
(http://i63.photobucket.com/albums/h137/excelsior420/amazon.jpg)
Dazzler is great, LP. And I'm looking forward for your amazon warrior.
Great work!
Very nice looking Dazzler, LP! I'm always impressed with your coloring and style.
Keep it up!
That Dazzler is just too cool, LP! I love that she's got a microphone. That's a nice touch. Also, your Amazon skope is coming along really nicely.
Hi LP,
Great stuff! I really like the Amazon.
Respectfully,
Wow! I love the lightshow fx on Dazzler. What a cool idea! Great looking skin, btw.
awesome skin love dazzler
Glad yer back,I love em both :thumbup:
I might just have to skin some amazons on that skope,very cool!
Whoa that's a cool Dazzler. Glad to have you back.
I'm really looking forward to that Amazon warrior. It looks like it would fill that Athena request I made a while back very nicely. Your stuff is always such high quality I expect it will exceed my original expectations.
Thanks, folks!
I'm still mixing and matching with the Amazon skope, but it should be done relatively soon, maybe by the end of this weekend.
Really nice highlights on the Dazzler. WEre you still working on the Guardians of the Galaxy characters?
Excellent FX on Dazzler which is already a great skin and the textures on the Amazon look terrific as well.
(http://i63.photobucket.com/albums/h137/excelsior420/group1.jpg) (http://i63.photobucket.com/albums/h137/excelsior420/AmazonWarrior.jpg)
Showing some stuff that I released, including some of those Guardians of the Galaxy. I just have Nikki and Charlie-27 to do.
Happy Holidays!
Really cool skins LP
White Tiger, yeah !! Thanks for the gift, LP.
THis is a nice gift, LP. It surprises me that a Darkstar fan actually has a heart. That Dazzler skin still cracks me up. I think you know why. :P
Terrific, White Tiger and its great to see the finished Amazon, well done on her outfit LP.
Hi LP,
Great stuff!! I really like the amazon and white tiger.
I think we have similar tastes in characters.
Respectfully,
Thanks, folks! :thumbup: I'm glad you enjoyed them.
So, I wanted to show what I was working on, because I've been in a groove.
This is a personal favorite project of mine because I love the storyline these characters were in (Captain America: Superia Stratagem) and always wanted to create them myself. These skopes were started a while ago but I finally got around to skinning or updating them.
(http://i63.photobucket.com/albums/h137/excelsior420/femizons.jpg)
We got Wrangler, a skope off the Vigilante mesh by Renegade, Snapdragon, Superia, Mysteria, Iron Maiden and Ice Princess.
There are a few more I want to include before they get released.
Oh, and this is something I got to do yesterday. I've enjoyed this character since Todd MacFarlane reinvented her in his Spider-Man book all those many years ago. I was always bummed out that she didn't make a proper appearance on the Spider-Man Animated Series. There was a character that was much like Calypso, but she became more of a were-cat than a voodoo priestess. I liked the idea that Calypso was so evil she sacrificed her own sister to gain more powers.. that's really terrible stuff. It was refreshing to see a truly evil villain. Most villains have a motive that people could somehow relate to.. but Calypso is just bonkers.
(http://i63.photobucket.com/albums/h137/excelsior420/Calypso.jpg)
I think I'm going to work on the face a bit before she's released.
yowzers! these ladies are looking good LP.
The colours just pop!
Wrangle and Calypso are amazing.
You've been a busy bee behind our backs? -_-
All kidding aside, these look great. Especially Wrangler.
Really cool stuff LP!
Great colors, amazing work with the highlights and custom faces. I liked them a lot!
Jeeze LP, these are incredible! I am familier with the whole Femizon story line as it was one of my favorite reads back in the day, and to say these are perfect is pretty much spot on. I love how you gave Mysteria her mist sticks, and Wrangler looks awsome, but my Favorite has to Snapdragon and Calypso.
superb work
Thanks muchly, everyone. I'm kinda proud of this set and it's cool to hear other people dig them, too.
Those Cap books were the best. There are definitely still some Cap-related characters I want to do. (Nomad, D-Man, Vagabond, etc.) Snapdragon is one of my favorites, as well. I always loved that design... I'm surprised she wasn't used more in comics.
i liked the books of the 4 man team-up. the captain, v-man, nomad, and falcon.
Awesome skins and skopes, LP !
I liked the Superia Stratagem storyline too. Any plans for Battleaxe ? or Pink Pearl ? :D
These are some really lovely ladies LP! Those are just some fantastic skins and skopes. I think Iron Maiden and Wranger are my favorites. You did really nice work on Wrangler's shirt and guns.
Thanks, guys. :)
I wanted to show a comparison of one of my first skins, versus a recent update.
Gladiatrix
(http://i63.photobucket.com/albums/h137/excelsior420/glad1.jpg)(http://i63.photobucket.com/albums/h137/excelsior420/Gladiatrix.jpg)
I ended up doing a few more of the Femizons.
(http://i63.photobucket.com/albums/h137/excelsior420/Battleaxe.jpg)(http://i63.photobucket.com/albums/h137/excelsior420/Ferocia.jpg)(http://i63.photobucket.com/albums/h137/excelsior420/Poundcakes.jpg)
And Hoss20 skoped up a pretty cool head piece for Nikki from the Guardians of the Galaxy. (MUCH better than my own previous attempt)
(http://i63.photobucket.com/albums/h137/excelsior420/Nikki2.jpg)(http://i63.photobucket.com/albums/h137/excelsior420/nikki1.jpg)
And.. they're all released (http://sardonicparadox.web.officelive.com/default.aspx).
Nikki is awesome!
Another great update LP. You can really see the difference between your older and newer skins. :thumbup:
Love the Femizons JP, I like how you have made their facial structure distinctive.
Well done :thumbup:
Love those Femizons, espically Ferocia- Perfection!
The newer skope for Gladiatrix is better, but I prefer the brighter sharper green of your earlier skin, its just more eye catching in the game.
Battleaxe and Poundcakes costumes are perfect, too bad they couldnt be put on a bulkier/muscular mesh body. They both have huge "man bodies" in the comics.
Thanks for the input.
Yeah, I know Poundcakes and Battleaxe should have more of a man's body, but I couldn't figure out how to go about it and I wanted to just release them. Maybe in the future I'll be able to update the skopes properly when I get a good basis for it. All the female_muscular type of meshes are still distinctly female.
Have you looked at Tommyboy's Stompa_tf?
Nice skins LP. I like seeing the now and then shots. Always nice to see how people have improved.
These are great LP! It looks like you're putting together some nice skopes and some even nicer skins. I really like Ferocia and Niki. These are all excellent. :)
Cyber, you genius.. now where were you when I was starting this up? ;) I totally forgot about Tommyboy's Stompa (which is silly, since Poundcakes is kind of based on Stompa) and it's perfect. I'm going to reskope it when I can. Thanks a lot.
Thanks guys.. I'm a fan of the before and after pictures, too. The first skin I ever really attempted was Ten from the Royal Flush Gang and I really would like to try an updated version of that.
Just watched the Batman Beyond episode with the Royal Flush Gang, I've always liked the concept of the characters. So of course I wouldn't mind seeing an updated Ten (or any others as well). :D
nice work LP!! glad to see your still kiccking them out..
Great stuff LP. Really needed these ladies for the rumble room!! :thumbup:
Amora is awesome. A major upgrade even from the grenadier/C6 version which is quite good. more hair and costume detail. love it, hope it gets released. :D
That Enchantress looks awesome LP! :thumbup:
Enchantress will certainly be released, but I was holding off because I did end up skinning some more things.
I have sooo been hoping that someone would eventually update Blue Eagle. These are awesome LP. Great colors, great detail. I am officially drooling!
Although you already know my opinion, I had to mention again how awesome these are. But, a little premature on that Dr. Spectrum preview, weren't we? <_<
Fantastic work! :thumbup:
Thanks, guys! ^_^
Yeah, Spectrum is currently a work in progress, skope-wise. I have to adjust Lady Lark's mask, too. Maybe redo the hair.
Awesome stuff LP. Looks like you've been making good use of Gren's new meshes.
Impressive work with the squadron, LP. Great colors and highlights.
Man LP, you've been busy! I do believe your work on these Squadron Supreme members is some of your best yet! These are really great. You've got some really nice, bright colors, great detail work, and all in all really smooth skins. All of the ones on the left of that group of SS memebers are my favorites. I can't narrow it down any more than that. They are all really nice. Ohh, and I can definitely put that Northstar skin to use!
I dig'em!
I think I agree with Benton. Hyperion really stands out.
I miss us.
Great job! I have always been a big Squadron fan and I really like the way they have turned out!!
nice work mr.lp!! :thumbup:
I'd be willing to beg and plead. You were doing some great stuff with 3ds max if I remember correctly.
I dig these skins, but I do have one thing to mention... that faces are the same.
I know, these are the meshes that have yelling animations and whatnot, right? So you have to use a neutral looking face, but you can still change them up. And I know you have the ability to do that. Your Calypso and Enchantress skins, for example. They both look unique.
Anyhow, other than that I say this is good stuff. I really like Vindicator's reflective suit. Nice.
And yes, I'm doing the New Mutants (original and current team costumes... and yes, I know Wolfsbane isn't on the current team, but I had to do it anyway!)
I also have a question for anyone who may be perusing this:
Is there a belt that greatly resembles this?
(http://media.comicvine.com/uploads/2/25807/739906-danielle_moonstar___marvel_graphic_novel_no_4_large.png)
Yay! The new New Mutants! Always wanted to see these all get done. Nice hair for Rhane, that held me back on a skin once a while ago.
As for the belt you could try Tommy's Night_Girl2_tv or Black_widow_tvlite. There may be other options out there, or if you're feeling really ambitious you could skope one together.
Thanks for the suggestion, Pod. I will give both meshes a try and see what sticks. I'll skope it as a last resort, but I am most certainly not looking forward to it!
I'm currently trying to work out ideas for Cannonball. I really like AA's skope, utilizing Syn's Nova mesh, but I also want there to be actual fire coming out of his legs, even while he hovers.. we'll see what I can cook up.
These are great!
Oh and guess what? I have a Cannonball basic which updates that ol' Nova skope. I can send it your way if you like. Though I don't have a hover action. I will say that glider with that mesh works better especially if you have the invulnerable while flying attribute too.
Thanks! I'd love to check out that Cannonball. I'll try using the Glider attribute for him.. that's a pretty good idea.
My computer totally died over a month back, so I lost all my data, including my New Mutants skins/skopes. *insert sad face here* I will eventually redo them (I actually started a skope for Magik again), but it won't be for some time.
Thanks, guys! I have a few other Legion ladies I want to create, then I'll focus on them New Mutants.
Incredible improvement on the colors LP. Well done.
Nice update LP.
I like the improvements you've made on some of the details like their seams ....highlights....wings.... and the colors do look brighter compared to before.
Great work on updating them on different meshes as well. The facework looks nice and clean too (even though they look so serious compared to before...). :)
Sweet stuff LP :thumbup:
Dawnstar is definately my favorite,but all three look great.
Great Job LP.
Dawnstar looks just like my niece. She has that look when you're trying to mess with her.
They are all big improvements over the old ones, but I must say I like Dreamgirls old hair more than the new, at least in the screenshots. Ingame might be different.
Thanks, guys! I'm going to do a few more characters before I release them, including this lady:
I'm loving the before and after pic of the LoSH ladies, it really shows how much you have grown as a skiner
How did i miss that Triplicate Girl skin? I really like it.
On this latest batch of skins, my favorite would be Arcanna and Crystal.
To think that you can give each skin you make, you're own style of unique faces now, just shows how much you've improved. :)
Great work LP :thumbup:, I love the Wizard's face
Well played LP. :thumbup:
Great work!
Nice stuff LP. Not familiar with Arcanna though.
Arcanna looks awesome. The others are nice, too. Your female faces are looking real good these days, and I like the use of refl layers.
Wow LP, that is one of your better skins, in my opinion. Ms. Marvel looks fantastic. I really love the detailing on her gloves and boots. Great work man!
Carol looks nice, LP. Dunno if I'm fond of the sash, but everything else is solid. Are you considering doing her upcoming, post AvX look at all?
Thank you. I intend to redo the sash, so good eye. I absolutely detest the new design for Ms. Marvel, but if I were to do it, I'd keep the long hair. Her short hair is ugly to me. I hope all is well with you, Prev.
That is gorgeous!
(http://i63.photobucket.com/albums/h137/excelsior420/psylocke.png)(http://i63.photobucket.com/albums/h137/excelsior420/StacyX.png)
A Stacy X skin? Cool! Good job on the scales.
Nice Betsy too, very distinctive face.
Thanks, Pod. Yeah, I never saw a Stacy X done before so I wanted to give it a try. I based it more on her design in the Vengeance book than as an X-men, but it still works, I think.
Awesome texture work LP!
i reallly like the custom faces on your skins lp, and your work is always very consstantly good.
Weeeeeee doggy! Dem some perty dames!
Comparison Time!
So I did the Scarlet Witch last year for Grenadier's awesome mesh. Here's a reminder:
(http://i63.photobucket.com/albums/h137/excelsior420/switch0.png)
I figured that skin does the mesh a disservice so I decided to update it with some style:
(http://i63.photobucket.com/albums/h137/excelsior420/switchn.png)
Also, one of my favorite Avengers of all time:
(http://i63.photobucket.com/albums/h137/excelsior420/CaptainPhoton.png)
Nice improvement, LP! Hope you made her some beam FX. ;) And I'm glad you're showing Photon some love! I grew to really like her character, so of course, she started barely showing up. <_<
Your level of improvement is phenominal! Great skins both. :thumbup:
Wanda's new face is really better than the original, and I really like your colors in all of them.
I can't ever say I was a big fan of Monica's but it's a nice skin I must say
Thanks, everyone! Nice to see some Monica love (or even indifference!). I'd like to see her return to the Avengers full time, but after Bendis has left the book.
Here's something else I finished up pretty quickly, thanks to kittbashing (my own work, that is.)
(http://i63.photobucket.com/albums/h137/excelsior420/BlackCatud.png)
Off to work on a Scarlet Witch Hex Beam!
Those are some nice girls there, LP. Good update on Wanda.
These girls are looking great
Sweet looking ladies! :thumbup:
Fantastic updates LP!!
My sincere thanks, folks! I'm glad you like 'em.
Here's something else I finished up pretty quickly, thanks to Creative re-use of parts.
Fixed that for you.
Looooove your Black Cat and very impressed with the overall improvment between your earlier and latest work.
I remember when I first created Force of Paradox (a
year ago!) and said to myself, "I'd be a fool to redesign it again."
Fast forward to now and I'm saying the same thing... again! I think I'm done on the site redesign front, though. I hope!
Thank ya! I just updated the skin, I really liked the mesh the skope was based on: Grenadier's Superman.
Looking forward to see more of your work, LP! You're always getting better and better!
(and maybe we get luck and you'll make more Legionnaires ;) )
<--- Awaits anxiously.
So, Force of Paradox (http://forceofparadox.yolasite.com/) is up and running again, totally updated.
This project lasted about.. um, all year so far and some of last year? I had all my content hosted on my old site, LP's Repository (RIP), but that site was closing for good. That gave me the opportunity to redesign the site and it struck at a time where I found myself with a lot of free time. While I normally would have uploaded content as I finished it (Hey, I started as a lurker, too.. I totally feel for you guys when someone previews something and it's released like a year later, if even then!), I decided to just skin and get better and just do what I love. Well, I decided to bring along some friends into the mix, which has led my asking Murs and Hoss to give me some of their content to host.
Thankfully, they complied and helped out big time! To you both, I'm indebted. I also want to give a big thanks to Grenadier for making some spectacular meshes, which made me want to skin better. It also gave me some great meshes to skope! Also, thanks to you, O Anonymous One!
Anyway, this was a total labor of love. I hope you enjoy these skins and skopes as much as I had in making them.
A full list of the releases will follow, but why don't you just check the site out and find out? ;) There are a fair share of 'redo' skins and characters, like Fantasma and Darkstar (and Magik and Black Widow.. why do I love Russian female heroes so much?) I think the site would have been ready earlier if it wasn't for me looking at my skins and thinking "Gross. I can do so much better." Never content.. is there a word for that? Oh yeah: Laughing Paradox. :)
Enjoy!
PS - You may have to reload a page of 5, since it's still uploading to the server or something? I don't know.
:thumbup: :thumbup: :thumbup: :thumbup: :thumbup: :thumbup:
Great job LP!
This is a feast for the eyes LP. Your website is a gold mine.
Incredible, LP.
Just, incredible... :D
You've got some really great stuff there LP!
Thanks, folks! Glad you're enjoying.
Many thanks for all your works LP!
the new site is so rich and well designed! :thumbup:
Thanks for the site and work LP, these are all top notch. :cool:
EDIT: LP i just checked your Enchantress and it seems there are some missing files for the body am i correct? i tried to dl again to check if something went wrong with my dl but it seems those files are indeed not in the zip. ;)
Thanks!
Try downloading Grenadier's Enchantress from the site.
I believe he released a newer version of it and the skin I provided should be for that version. I'll look into it myself, tho, and see if I just mangled the zip file. Thanks for the head's up!
The newer version of Gren's Enchantress uses the Female_Heels_Gren art file for the body. It looks like the old female_Gren and female_Gren_refl files were left in the standard skin. They are unnecessary for the current mesh and, of course, make LP's skin folder look a little light. Now, as far as LP goes, our friend left out the glow files for Extras and Female_Heels_Gren. What a jerk. :P I imagine throwing copies of those files from the standard folder into LP's should solve the problem.
LP, I tried downloading the Enchantress skin again, just to double check and had some issues. I also tried to download Calypso and had trouble with that one, as well. My download stalls at 99% and runs until I just get an error stating that the file can not be downloaded. I'll check further to see if it's something on my end.
Edit: It looks I may be having issues with my download accelerator. Not sure why as it's the same one I've been using. Anyway, if anyone else has any issues, let us know.
the updated site is seriouslyy sweet guys. lots of great content on it.
Another FX rises. :thumbup:
LP, great skins and love the new site!!
Blowin' dust off this sucker...
(http://i63.photobucket.com/albums/h137/excelsior420/Hellfire.png)
Great to see you skinning again LP. Good job on the queens, especially getting all those parts on there.
The Black Queen has them crazy eyes.
I love the skins, LP! :thumbup:
"Good...good." --Fire Bug
Those skins look great! I especially like the Black Queen.
Great to see you skinning again LP. These look great. I hope to see more.
:thumbup: :thumbup: Glad to see you back man!
They both look great,but,gotta say I'm lovin' that Selene :thumbup:
Very nice LP! what base are you using? i really like it.
Thanks, folks!
The base is C6's female_basic base.. just reworked.
Black Queen is the standout here, but I am really like White Queen as well.
So...
I skinned for the first time in nearly a year and... my laptop died. I have to do a complete system restore, thereby losing it.
I might try it again, but this experience sort of deflated me.
The problem is I was skinning a set, and it's all lost. Here's what I had been working on. Hoss20 provided this AWESOME skope.
(http://i63.photobucket.com/albums/h137/excelsior420/Typhoid.png)
Dang, LP. That really sucks to hear.
I know what it feels like to lose quite a bit of work. Two or so weeks ago, my external hard-drive crashed, causing me to lose nearly everything that I had for Freedom Force and Total War that I was collecting/working on for the past three years.
It's a crummy thing to experience. Just don't let that stop you from doing what you love. :)
Oh man!
Typhoid Mary is looking amazing too!
I hope your computer issues are worked out soon enough, I must say that you've been doing a fantastic job with the female heroes and villains. They are often neglected, and the obvious care that you put into these skins just makes it all worth it.
I love how I can play with an all-girl X-men team from your skins alone.
and, if it wasn't for Hoss pointing out Gamorra in another thread, I would never have known that she was released too. solid work!
LP, Hoss! That is a fanastic piece of artwork! That is an amazing skin and skope. You two always work so well together.
LP, I'm sorry to hear about your Laptop, I definitely feel for you, my PC has been on the fritz for a while now, I'm just hoping it holds up till this quarter ends.
I really hope that you can salvage some of your unreleased work before you do the System Restore.
Man she is a beaut.
As for the computer issues, have you tried http://pcsupport.about.com/od/fixtheproblem/ht/system-restore-windows-7.htm? It helps me save some files (not all).
Dude, she turned out great! I'm sorry I haven't been in touch. I got a new job and am dealing with moving and all of that RL crap. You always make my skopes look good. :thumbup:
That is a great looking Typhoid Mary! :thumbup:
LP, that Typhoid Mary looks great! Sorry to hear about your computer issues, I hope you can fix it soon.
She really looks great.
Maybe post in the General Forum about your laptop. We've got some pretty smart people around here, they might be able to help.
Thanks, folks. Unfortunately there was no way to retrieve any data (I was speaking to a technician for days) and I've since sent my laptop to the manufacturer.
Either way, I'll certainly redo that Typhoid Mary when I get it back and muster the time. AA's Stryfe might inspire me to redo those MLF members, actually.
I just found a bunch of stuff tha I had skoped that I had lost in my last crash. I found it in my old sent e-mail. Maybe you could salvage some stuff that way? Either way, best of luck getting things back together. I really hope this doesn't dissuede you from continuing to skin, you're such an exceptional skinner, you have an amazing eye for colors and details.
That really bites LP :(
Typhoid looks great!I know how you feel losing a bunch of stuff because of a crash but I hope to see you skinning again soon,you're too good to stop ;)
Mary looks awesome LP, and a great skope by Hoss too!
Ohh no! That's terrible LP! I'm so sorry man. I know how discouraging that is. I for one am definitely looking forward to what awesome stuff you'll create when you're back up and running. :)
that typhoid looks beautiful lp. and a great skope by hoss. i hope that when you get your computer back, you continue to skin. it would be a loss to the community for you to stop skinning.
Typhoid Mary. Take Two!
(http://i63.photobucket.com/albums/h137/excelsior420/Tmary.png)
I may darken her hair a little before I release it. Any critiques are welcome!
Big PROPS to Hoss20 for some adjustments in the skope.
This version is superior to the previous one, the lighter hair works for it. The only critique I have would be to add some texture to the individual hair strands. Otherwise, this just rocks.
I hate you.
(Meant in the nicest way possible)
Brilliant attention to detail LP and a great version of this character.
The crazed look in her eyes is great. A big improvement on already great skin.
wow, the first typhoid mary was great, but this one is so much better that i cant put it to words.
That's an amazing skin! So many details... it's really nice.
She really does look even better than your first attempt. Awesome work.
Thanks everyone!
@Cyber - yeah, the solid-color hair is a distraction, but unfortunately the way it is mapped makes it impossible to create gradients of color. That's why I was considering darkening it, to make it less conspicuous.
Very nice LP! I love the detail work on the shirt and the shoulder pads. That's excellent!
Excellent work! Typhoid Mary was always an interesting character to me. Though I felt she could have been better utilized in a different comic. Just never was big on Daredevil. All that aside, I can't wait to get this skin in my grubby paws...
This turned out fantastically!
Great job LP! Any chance you might release the base you tweaked? I really like it!!
(http://i63.photobucket.com/albums/h137/excelsior420/dback.png)
Big thanks to Hoss20
...and a big "You're Welcome." :thumbup: She looks great.
Wow. You go LP.
LP and Hoss20 - She looks absolutely amazing! Very nice work!
Cool Diamondback ... I like the arm and leg bands
Yowzas. Great stuff LP. I think you've done most of Marvel's Femme Fatales. Who's next?
*medusa medusa medusa...errr madame masque* fingers crossed.
Awesome!! She looks fantastic.
it is seriously sweet to see you skinning again laughing paradox, you and hoss20 make a killer colaborative team. diamond back was one of my favorite side chjaracters in captain america back in the day and you guys did a great job representing her
Many thanks, everyone.
I've been asked to do Madame Masque before.. and she's recently been in the Hawkeye comic, which I love.. so who knows? :)
Regarding Medusa, I was holding out on hope that maybe someone would mesh or skope her.
Great stuff guys, another awesome Hoss skope complimented by another awesome LP skin. I love it. :wub:
That's a great looking Diamondback! I love how you've done all the diamonds.
very very cool! :thumbup: Lovely Diamondback!
That Diamondback is downright beautiful.
If you check the Skin-A-Rama for July 23, you will see a preview of Bearded's Medusa. Her hair does the melee attacks, and there are ranged hair attack sfx at FXForce.
Diamondback looks beautifully done, You and Hoss make a great team LP!
I only have one word to say about Diamondback about the way she looks and the way her costume is designed :o, and that word is ^_^... AWESOME :thumbup:!!! Artemis is officially 100% right, you LP and Hoss definitely make a great yet excellent team big-time :thumbup:. Keep up the good work you two, and I do hope there are more surprises for us to expect and enjoy around the corner when they come to us. Great job you two, and I'll see you all later ;).
Thanks!
That's really appreciated! I started skinning because I wanted to contribute something to the community, but also wanted to do those obscure characters I love some justice!
I liked your older Serpent Society skins and didn't think they needed an update, but after seeing the new Asp skin I'm glad I was wrong. We really need a Captain America Mod where he fights the SS.
Thanks, Electro. Stay tuned for more Serpent goodness. ;)
A before and after image of Calypso, the voodoo witch I desperately wanted to skin when I started doing the 'skinning thing'. I wanted to try skinning her again and this is the result. I have American Horror Story: Coven to blame for the character choice. (Love that show!)
(http://i63.photobucket.com/albums/h137/excelsior420/calypso.png)
As you noticed, I pulled a Liefeld with the feet.. I can't skin toes on this mesh! Just always make her stand behind a suspiciously placed rock in the game, and she'll be set!
I recently got stung with a skinning bug, so we'll see where that takes me... and you may have noticed, my last couple of previews have been very Marvel Villainess-centric, so expect more of that. Almost a foil to DJ's current repository of skinning!
Are there any past skins that I've done that desperately need a reskin?
These are all looking pretty great LP! I'm especially excited to get to play with the Hellfire queens and Typhoid Mary.
Marvel Villainesses that need a re-skin?
I can't think of any you've done, but I haven't seen a new Madame Masque skin in a while.
Thanks, DM.
Madame Masque, hm? ;)
Spoiler
Calypso looks great! and I agree with Cyber and nrozich about Madame Masque's mask, it's very nice.
Great job! I really like Madame Masque! I have always liked that character.
I can't tell you enough how glad I am that the skinning bug has bit you again, you have been creating some really impressive skins.
Thanks for the nice words, folks. :)
Here's what I've been working on..
(http://i63.photobucket.com/albums/h137/excelsior420/MAC.png)
I'll eventually be doing the other members. Still working on a skope for Power Man. Outcast did a dynamite Ronin, so I don't think I'll be skinning him.
Oh wow! Look at that! That's a great job on the new Mighty team. I especially like White Tiger and Cage. Can't wait for Power Man.
Thanks for tackling a newer team and characters!
Thanks everyone! Glad you like it.. I'm particularly fond of White Tiger, myself.
I like that Spectrum's current costume is still reminiscent of her classic Captain Marvel costume, but with a nice update. It's a good design, I think.
Great work LP. I wasn't even in the slightest familiar with Blue Marvel and form what i have gathered in wiki he is a real powerhouse. Now i am intrigued.
I promise, these things will be released within 30 days! I realized I haven't released anything since 2012. Yeesh, I'm slackin'.
Download and enjoy.
More Serpents!!! :thumbup:
Wow, Puff Adder looks great and the skope sounds cool ... so much love for the Serpent Society!
I want to say a big thanks to everyone in the community for diggin' what I'm throwing. It means a lot to have people enjoy the things I've been cooking up for a while.
Naturally, a big props to Hoss20 for being my partner in crime here. We're not done yet.. there are still some Serpents lurking, as well as other surprises in the future. Just don't hold me to a time line!
Can't wait to see the skope.
Hoss really outdid himself with Puff Adder, great use of pieces for the helmet too, and you skinned it beautifully.
Great update! and that Puff Adder is amazing :thumbup:
Am I blind or do I not see the Serpent Society on your site?
Click on the Marvel icon, on the top of the front page.
Then on that page, on the far right there's a small button that says "Marvel 2". Click on that, then click the snake icon on the next page (or just scroll down). There are 4 Marvel pages and 2 DC pages. Make sure to check it all out!
Thanks for the comments, folks!
Saw this old skin and decided to give it an update!
(http://i63.photobucket.com/albums/h137/excelsior420/redguardianba.png)
My next reveal will be two different looks of one character. One of her looks was done only once, I believe... the other look was never made before for :ff:! She's an A-List character, too!
If someone guesses the correct identity, I'll preview the images sooner than later.
what a refreshing and wonderful update you have done Lp, and congratulations also for all the 2.0 stuff on your website!
i have no idea about the character you are about to preview...maybe another little hint?
Excellent remake LP! :thumbup:
OK now you're making me think....stop that! :P
An A-Lister only done once......Hellcat?
LP, love your Red Guardian! That is a huge change from the first one.
You have really been kicking out some fantastic skins and skopes!!
The before and after pic really shows how far you've come as a Skinner and as an Artist. As for your next reveal, I wouldn't even know where to begin to guess.
Nice skin, good job on the highlights.
Hmm...an A-List character? Black Widow? Storm?
Nice skin, good job on the highlights.
Hmm...an A-List character? Black Widow? Storm?
I'm going to go with Storm -- IIRC, her "Punk Mohawk" look has only been done once, and she's changed costumes so often, I wouldn't be a bit surprised if there's a look of hers that's never been done.
Thanks for the comments about Red Guardian.. I personally like how she came out.
Ok.. so. You guys are good. A little TOO good! Podmark got the Storm part right and Elijah even went a step further and got the Punk Mohawk Storm right.
I believe Punk Storm was only done once.
(http://i63.photobucket.com/albums/h137/excelsior420/punkstorm.png)
And I don't think this iteration of Storm was ever created.. was it? (Skope is not complete!)
(http://i63.photobucket.com/albums/h137/excelsior420/asgardianstorm1.png)(http://i63.photobucket.com/albums/h137/excelsior420/asgardianstorm2.png)
I could think of at least three Storm outfits that had never been skinned but this wasn't one of them. Anyway....great job of the Asgardian Storm! The fur, the chainmail, it's all very well done. Punk Storm too.
I am very impressed.
Sweet skope and skins,I love the asgardian version even though I hate Storm with the Mohawk,I'm old fashioned,I like her with the long flowing hair. :)
FANtastic work on the Asgardian and Punk Storm, Paradox!!
I was curious if someone might attempt her punk look or even a version of her current look in X-Force (post-Panther mohawk) if you want to go for all three of her mohawk looks.
Gotta love skinners/skopers who are willing to tackle all of the looks of a character even those who don't last very often among the fan community or just for a single story arc.
- CQ
The skoping and chainmail are great LP.
Fantastic work LP.
Wow, those Storm skins are awesome!! Fantastic work!
Well, I've missed a lot of really cools stuff in this thread, LP! I'll just focus on the punk Storm, though. She is fantastic, really, really fantastic. I don't know quite what it is, but I just love what you've done with that skin. The comparison of the Red Guardian skins is also really telling. The first one is very nice, but that new one is just plain beautiful!
Thank you, everyone. I'm humbled by the response received.
@Crimson - Unfortunately, I hate Storm's current look. I'm just not a fan. After I complete these two, I think I'll be all Stormed out anyway. ;)
In all honesty, I have never been a big fan of Storm, but you created some beautiful representations of her.
Hey! Asgard Storm was on my list...
...and I'm glad to take it off for so nice a skin.
Very nice storm skins, LP! If you are interested, Bearded made a Thunderstrke mace nif, located here:
https://groups.yahoo.com/neo/groups/Beardedinlairmeshes3/files/thundermace/
the advange of this nif is that the head is a separate mesh pice and can be tweaked to be shaped so that it is similar to the hammer Storm (Thorm?) had in the comics, as pictured here:
http://www.uncannyxmen.net/images/costume/storm-what1.jpg
http://cache.gawkerassets.com/assets/images/8/2011/04/thorm.jpg
Specifically, if you scale the y vertice it will (1.5% or so), it will elongate the head aong that axis. Mind you this FYI, and the skins are stellar without this.
Thanks man. Two things. I downloaded all the Serpent Society skins (thanks, now I have to remake all my heroes!) but I can't get Coachwhip to work with any keyframes or Bushmaster to work in :ffvstr: at all. Any suggestions?
@AnarchistsXe: Regarding Bushmaster, did you convert him for :ffvstr:? I think you need to do that for him to work. Regarding Coachwhip, my advice would be to wait til the updated version comes out. ;)
@doctorchallenger: Thanks for the head's up about her mallet. To be honest, I wanted to do something about it since it has a peculiar shape and your suggestion may be perfect. I'll try it out and see what I come up with.
I did. Still didn't work. Ok Thanks. It says it works with female basic keyframes, but that didn't work
Wow LP! That is a fantastic preview pic. :thumbup:
Thanks, CB. I had fun making it.
Sweet preview!
Haha, that is really clever, LP! :thumbup:
Love the preview LP :thumbup:
I just finished watching the latest Arrow titled "Suicide Squad",between that and what you've done here I'm gonna have to dig out and re read some of my old Squad issues :cool:
Hoho! That is awesome! I agree with everyone else, that is one cool preview pic, and what I can see of the skins all looks fantastic too. Vertigo's face is especially cool! I'm looking forward to seeing all of these guys. I can already see several that I'm going to need to add into the DCUG. :D
Agreed, Vertigo's face turned out great, and the eyes in particular really pop.
Great work as always LP.
I really like Count Vertigo's face :thumbup:
Thanks, guys!
Count Vertigo is a male face I've worked a lot on, so I'm glad to hear some feedback on it!
Here are the Suicide Squad members I've done so far.. some still need tweaks (Captain Boomerang needs to be skoped further, I need to adjust Nemesis' face), but here they are anyway!
Roster (in order): Rick Flag, Nightshade, Nemesis, Plastique, Black Orchid, Count Vertigo, Captain Boomerang, Duchess, Enchantress
(http://i63.photobucket.com/albums/h137/excelsior420/ssq1.png) (http://i63.photobucket.com/albums/h137/excelsior420/ssq2.png)
(http://i63.photobucket.com/albums/h137/excelsior420/ssq5.png)
They all look amazing, LP! :thumbup:
Ohh man, those guys just look awesome! Vertigo is really exceptional, but I love Plastique too.
I'll agree with Benton here, they all look really great, but Vertigo is really the stand out of the group.
That's awesome, love the full set. Boomerang and Vertigo stick out for me.
Gotta say they're all great, but love the way you managed to capture Vertigo's arrogance? Haughtiness? Sense of superiority? Don't know... just know he looks great, kudos. :thumbup:
I also really like the work you did on Duchess' face.
John Ostrander's Suicide Squad run is one of my all-time favourite DC Comics runs, so seeing these characters with sleek updated skins makes me happy :thumbup:
Just a minor nitpick ... I think Rick Flag or Nemesis only have a single holstered gun, not two.
I was just about to redo my Suicide Squad Hero files and so this is perfect timing on releasing these. Enchantress really looks great. I didn't know that witch hat geometry existed.
Thanks a lot, everyone!
I'm going to release the Suicide Squad, a few more Serpent Society members and the completed Storm looks sooner than later.
I'm not exactly sure why, but by God I love Vertigo's face in this, LP. It's got this haughty look, like, "you other Squad members are so beneath me."
Nice work!
That's because it's probably he way he feels.
These are great, I'm all into the Enchantress and Black Orchid.
LP, you have my curiosity piqued, if you don't mind me asking, what Serpents are you working on?
What,suicide squad and no Deadshot??
@Cyber - Coachwhip, Anaconda, Sidewinder and Boomslang. I might be forgetting one?
@Spade - Vixen, Deadshot and Bronze Tiger were missing! For Deadshot, I use C6's skin for Vertex's vxDeadshot mesh. For Bronze Tiger, I'm releasing a skope with C6's skin of the character. And for Vixen... well, she's the reason I haven't released this stuff yet.
I look forward to seeing Vixen!
I vaguely remember a skoped mesh with translucent animals appearing when she used melee attacks, sprinted, flew, etc ... but I don't remember anyone ever doing the classic Suicide Squad version of the character.
It's no bother at all!
Vixen and the skope for Bronze Tiger (It's just a modified Iron Fist 2 by Grenadier) will be released when I finish things up and update my site. I'll make an announcement when that happens.
For Vertex's vxDeadshot mesh, you can get that here: https://groups.yahoo.com/neo/groups/Vertex_Meshes_01/files
For C6's Deadshot skin, you can get that here: https://groups.yahoo.com/neo/groups/C6_Unhosted_Skins/files
That was the amazing Revenant. He made Vixen's then-current look and created the animal FX's to accompany his skope/skin.
Unfortunately, there isn't really any other place. Some content creators host their meshes/skins on mediafire (e.g. Billdamn) or even their own website (e.g. Benton Grey, Alex/Abenavides, Afghan Ant, Tommyboy), but a vast majority of content, especially unhosted content, is hosted on Yahoo Groups.
Yeah,well thanks anyway.
I don't want to thread jack here, but I just want to point out that for a lot of us who create content, we either don't have the know how or the resources to build our own websites. Unfortunately, that leaves Yahoo as the best, if not only, option to release what we have made.
Dropbox allows you to share a file via a persistent web URL. I think the other major cloud storage solutions such as Google Drive and MS OneDrive (né SkyDrive) offer the same functionality. You'd then only need a free webpage solution to display the links. Wikispace (host of FRWorld) would work fine; even blogs such as Wordpress, Blogspot or Tumbler could do, at worst.
Great skins LP! my favorites are Vertigo, Duchess and the Enchantress.
Huge thanks to Windblown for hooking me up with an awesome skope for good ol' Vixen, modified a little by Hoss20. (Added the totem to her belt.) The animations are great for her too. Her running animation is perfect, as well as her melee idle and some of her melee attacks. Great stuff here!
(http://i63.photobucket.com/albums/h137/excelsior420/Vixen.png)
Hoss20 skoped up a very awesome looking snowflake for m Killer Frost skope! Boom!
(http://i63.photobucket.com/albums/h137/excelsior420/killerfrost.png)
Next up? The Defenders.
Excellent job on all accounts guys.
Though I must say my curiosity is getting the better of me now. Hoss, if you don't mind me asking, what did you use for the snowflake?
Maaaan, I can't wait for the next FoP updated! :thumbup:
Both skins are great but I cannot wait to play around with that Vixen!!! Nice work!
Those are pretty sweet! I really like the Vixen.
Great job as usual LP. I really like Vixen too. Is that the second time you made Vixen?
I also remember you doing a great Firebird skin too. :paradoxsign
Thanks everyone!
The FoP update will be soon. I know I keep saying that.. but it's true! I'm still just finishing up some characters that have been half finished before. I figured it'd be worth the extra wait for a few more characters.
This is the first time I've attempted Vixen. I did do a Firebird (http://i63.photobucket.com/albums/h137/excelsior420/firebirdm.png) and previewed it in a Request Forum thread (http://freedomreborn.net/forums/index.php?topic=57182.0).
I feel compelled to post a preview of something every time I post in this thread now!
So, Hoss20 informed me that this was an unwanted costume and was particularly ugly. So naturally, I had to skin it! ;)
(http://i63.photobucket.com/albums/h137/excelsior420/novabrown.png)
LP: Making ugly costumes pleasing to look at :P
Cool, always good to have more Nova.
While not my favorite Nova costume, I have always been a Nova fan, and will jump at the chance to get any and all versions/variations that I can get my grubby little hands on.
Though I must say my curiosity is getting the better of me now. Hoss, if you don't mind me asking, what did you use for the snowflake?
I used one of the bracelet pieces from Ink's Scarlet Witch Gypsy for the circle. I then took an arrow from Tom_Versatile, removed the feathers, and took it into Blender. I then stretched the arrowhead a bit. From there, I duplicated the altered arrow and rotated the copies around to the appropriate places. After doing this, I merged all of the pieces together into one piece to keep it simple.
LP, if that Nova skin is released, consider our skope/skin relationship over. ;)
I'm thinking that I really need to get with the times and start using Blender. That was a great way to use existing pieces Hoss.
Nice even more great skins. I like Coachwhip and Sidewinder has some good face work.
Those are all fantastic :thumbup: I particularly like Boomslang ... for some reason, I always had a soft spot for that goofy character.
I sooo can't wait to check these out!!! :thumbup:
Thanks, Wyldfyre. I think this was the second skope where I implemented Windblown's tutorial on making pieces appear and disappear (thanks again, WB). I thought it was the perfect skope to try it out on. I was hoping everyone would like it. I always try to capture a character's individuality, especially when they have a unique power.
You just keep getting better, dont ya?
*cheek pinch*
wow, all of them look amazing, I especially like Anaconda :thumbup:
Ohh man, wow! These new skins are looking absolutely fantastic, LP! That Vixen is just dynamite, and I'm going to have to tell a story with Cap and the Serpent society at some point, just to use these awesome skins of yours! :D
Thanks, everyone! I'm glad you're enjoying it because I enjoy makin' it.
So the last time I promised some Defenders, right? I got your Defenders right here! (As per usual, big thanks Hoss20 for hooking up quite a few of these skopes!)
All of these are great, LP, but Gargoyle's wings take the cake, here!
Wow! That's another tremendous set of skins, man! I really like Valkyrie and Clea.
This is stuff I've had since January! Up next.. the DC stuff! My DC section is sorely lacking and I've been ignoring them, big time. Suicide Squad needs to be finished up and a few others, as well.
For those of you that don't open up newly installed skin/skope folders, I created an FX created specifically for Boomslang's snake boomerang.
I imagine that most of us who do skoping and skinning have gotten into the habit of checking the Read Me files and such for new stuff we download, so I just wanted to make sure that people knew that this was available, especially since his weapon is so unique and it didn't really have something that fit the bill in current FX. The snake skin, of course, was done by LP and taken from the standard skin he did for the character. Enjoy!
Those look awesome LP! Really digging the Gargoyle skin, and Overmind, but the whole set looks great.
Nice to see Overmind. I'm glad you didn't go with the look Gargoyle had during that run. That series was pretty bad during that time.
Cool stuff LP :thumbup: Loving Overmind and Son of Satan.
Now, to celebrate someone else I really respect on these here forums, Grenadier's Hussar:
Thanks, guys!
Yeah, I was really inspired to skin something new of Grenadier's so I just ripped open Photoshop during a bout of insomnia and went at it.
I'm glad the saturated red is being well received. I figured that since she's an alien, she can get away with it.
Looks great, LP. I wish you'd skin the skopes I make for you this quickly, but I don't mind taking a back seat to Grenadier. :P
Wow, I just love how Cap turned out :wub:
A beautiful batch of skins LP. I agree that Boomerang really stands out, but I think they are all fantastic. :thumbup:
Thank you so much! Glad they're being well received.
I particularly like how Captain Boomerang came out, too!
The Skins/Skopes are awesome, but what's really intriguing me right now are the preview pics. Each Character has their name done differently with very nicely textured colors. That is something I really need to figure out, especially when it comes to making FX Text.
Remember: Blend Modes are your friends.
Awesome!!
Good stuff, I particularly like Captain Boomerang and Dr Light.
However I noticed the symbol on Batgirl looks very flat. I'd suggest adding some shading and highlights to it.
Bravo on the Crusaders skins, LP....They're beautiful!
The Crusaders were Marvel's take on DC's Freedom Fighters. (Uncle Sam, Phantom Lady, Black Condor, etc). I know they showed up in the Invaders comic book.
Agreed, these are fantastic!
Excellent skins LP, both of them look great.
It's really nice to see Gren's Crusaders get some love! Gren always makes such fantastic meshes! Then again, saying "fantastic" and "Gren" in the same sentence is rather redundant :P
Silver Scarab and Dove look great! I particularly like the design of Silver Scarab. Maybe it's the shininess? I don't know :P
Thanks so much, everyone.
I did end up doing two other Infinity Inc. characters. They'll be revealed later on.
For now, I wanted to show this stuff.
Excellent skins LP. Really love how distinctive your face work has become. Thoroughly impressive!
Those are some pretty ladies! I think I like Hawkgirl best.
The four of them look fantastic, but Hawkgirl in particular is perfect.
All of it! My favorites are your Dove and Katana.
I thought that I already commented here, :doh:.
These are really nice LP. Each one has something that really makes them stand out, but Katana's sleeves, and Hwakgirl's wings, just awesome.
Force of Paradox has a brand new site! Click Here! (http://forceofparadox.byethost31.com/)
It's got a lot of new stuff, so take your time searching through it!
Amazing, amazing, AMAZING! update, LP!!!
I'm just looking through the site and I can't help but just appreciate everything you guys have done for this community.
Thank you all for everything!
Everything looks so spiffy :thumbup:
Was a nice surprise :D
This is a skope done by Johnny Patches from a long while ago.
He spins. A lot. Even his blades spin.
Very nice!
:blink:
That looks extremely good :thumbup:
Thanks!
That looks absolutely fantastic, LP!
THAT...is just cool! Nice work, man!
Both Skin and Skope are fantastic, I can't wait to see them in CTool and NifSkope.
Dude this is insane.
Excellent! I would love to update Whirlwind in my Marvel Mod!
i dont know how i missed this, but wow!
After viewing some great work by AA and reading God and Science: Return of the Ti-Girls, I was inspired to create some original characters that have been laying low in my mind for years.
Carrying from the Saturn King universe, The Sheroes are a group of super powered women who help defend Earth from terrible threats.
(http://i63.photobucket.com/albums/h137/excelsior420/angelbomb.png)
First member of the Sheroes is Angel Bomb! A former military member of Samoan heritage, she joined the family business of wrestling and made a prominent name for herself in Japan, thanks to her fighting prowess and antics in and out of the ring. A crazed fan stalked her for months and eventually kidnapped her, grafting functional wings on her body, because she was "his angel". After escaping, she found a new path in life, joining the Sheroes.
(http://i63.photobucket.com/albums/h137/excelsior420/sorrow.png)
The only things known about Sorrow are shrouded in rumors and mystery. Some say she is a demon with unparalleled fighting skills, while others believe she is a spirit of retribution, once murdered and seeking vengeance against her killer. Some think she sold her soul to the devil, gaining the ability to never miss a target with her two pistols, Laurel and Hardy. One thing that is universally known is her foes truly fear her.. the ones who have survived, anyway.
(http://i63.photobucket.com/albums/h137/excelsior420/demonika.png)
Demonika is a member of The Misfits, a rival group to the Sheroes. She is an actual demon that was cursed after betraying the wrong person. The curse will slowly turn her frozen, as it has already captured her arm. Her shoulder pads are mystic wards that slow her total demise, but the ice continues to creep up her body. She feels the cold but has used it to her advantage; she has the ability to create both demonfire and icefire, a blue flame that freezes all it touches. She's an outsider among other demons and an outsider on Earth, but she will do whatever it takes to lift the curse.
WOW...Just WOW!!! These are great, especially Sorrow and Demonika. I'm really glad to see you expanding your Avatar's Universe, that's really a great idea.
Did I say WOW? :thumbup:
Really cool designs and great skins. Angel Bomb stands out the most to me, but the ice arm on Demonika is a nice touch.
It's great to see some original characters from you LP.
Enjoying the unique designs and their cool background stories. Sheroes certainly is a catchy name for them.
Awesome. :cool:
Whoa dude! :wub:
Especially digging that skull face on Sorrow!
I must not have put them on the site/in the Yahoo groups. I don't know when Ill put them up, tho.
Maybe I should just redo them. That could be fun.
All I can say LP is WOW. I love your work! With each new release/redo, your work continues to excel and inspire others. Fantastic job! :thumbup:
I call them like I see them. And I tend to be bluntly honest. And yes, I totally meant what i said. If skinners, such as yourself, and those who have come before, can inspire a new generation of artists and creators, then I'm happy :) And I do so love your work and your attention to detail.
I've been feeling nostalgic and missed this community. I hopped into Photoshop and had some fun.
(http://i63.photobucket.com/albums/h137/excelsior420/Stargirl.png)
I may also have revisited an old skin or two. I'll show that later on.
Nice! :thumbup: Glad to see that the Skinning Bug has bit you again.
Looking good. Feel free to feel nostalgic anytime.
Love it!
Showing them is great, posting them where we can get out little greedy hands on them is better :D
Stargirl is looking great, LP! It's great to see you skinning again.
Great to see you LP. Stargirl looks good!
:thumbup: It's great to see you posting again, LP. Stargirl looks fantastic, like always.
Thank you so much, everyone! It's great to be back. :thumbup:
Wow what a skin to return with :thumbup:
I want to tackle the Female Furies and I started with Lashina!
(http://i63.photobucket.com/albums/h137/excelsior420/lashina.png)
I was wondering if anyone could maybe help out with a skope for Big Barda and a few other of the Furies? I started the skopes but I'm stuck at some points and input is always fun. There's no rush, so anything would be appreciated.
I think AA did a skope of Big Barda....or maybe it was C6....give me a day or two to check...
Edit: Not under C6 and AA's site is gone..so who knows... :(
I'm pretty sure AA did do a Barda skin/skope. Just a question of finding it. C6 probably did one too.
Looking good LP. I look forward to your Furies.
I'm very happy to see that you're back LP! Fantastic skins, you didn't lose your touch!
Ohh man, LP, it's awesome to see you back! We've missed you around here! Both Stargirl and Lashina look fantastic! :D
I did some digging around on my archive disks and found AA's Big Barda skin from 2003. It uses tommyboy's "big barda" mesh, which I also have.
Great to have you back, LP!! It's been far too long :P
That Lashina and Star Girl are beautiful! Lashina is my favorite of the two, though. :wub:
I also found some older Firestorm skins for Granny Goodness, Lashina, Mad Harriet and Stompa. Shoot me a PM if you want these as well.
Windblown has created an incredible Cecilia Reyes skope and it took me a long time to finish it.. but I finally did!
(http://i63.photobucket.com/albums/h137/excelsior420/Cecilia.png)
Also, no waiting! Get her here! (http://www.mediafire.com/file/bc1eyc8v6ywlpw6/Cecilia_Reyes_skope.zip) (Comes with accompanying FXs for her. Windblown is a genius.)
:blink:
Stunned yet again.
Awesome!
Wow, that face is downright impressive. Well done LP!
Thanks so much! :thumbup:
Love it 😍
Great work. Thanks to you both
You two make a great combo! She's such an underappreciated character, and with a great power set. Love the skin and keyframes!
BYYyyuuuuu-tiful work, LP and Windblown!
Such a treasure to look at :wub:
Hey LP,
Did you release that awesome version of Whirlwind from awhile back? Or did I miss the link? I can't seem to find it. :doh:
- CQ
Love the skin! Fantastic work :)
Absolutely love that face! Great work! :thumbup:
Could have sworn I had posted on this already. Great Skin and Skope guys. I remember when she was first introduced in the Comics, I never thought she'd last this long. :lol:
Thank you so much, everyone! I'm so glad you all like it. :)
CrimsonQuill -- Here you go! http://www.mediafire.com/file/ine99x00ccs6rht/Whirlwind_JP.zip
Just wanted to give a head's up.
i lost everything that I was working on in a really weird computer update. I mean everything.. so I don't think I'll be working on new content for any foreseeable future.
I also want to say that I did fix all the links on Force of Paradox, so you should be able to download any of those skins or meshes or skopes with no problem. Happy gaming!
Ugh that's really rough. Why must our computers betray us!
I've been there :(
Disheartening but you'll bounce back :D
Ohh man, that's terrible, LP! No backups or chance to restore to a previous version?
We've all been there. It's incredibly discouraging. Sorry man!
:( I know the feeling.
