Basically, I'm taking every Resource that I can find, and putting them in (.PDF) Format. I had wanted to have more done before I posted a link to the site, but Classes start up today, so I'll have less time to work on this. I tried to give credit for the Files where I could. Also, I tried to edit Spelling and Grammar and such so those with Language barriers would hopefully have an easier time understanding things. A lot of the Files didn't have the pictures that were supposed to be there, so if anyone does have complete Files, please let me know, I would happily update them.
If I made any errors when copying these Files, please let me know what needs to be fixed.
Websites go down, Forums get hacked, and Content Creators leave the Community. My main goal here is to make sure that as many people as possible have access to these Files. The more people that have these Files, the less chance there is of these Resources being lost.
This is currently about half of what I have, I'll try to at least make a small update every week, but I can't promise it. In the meantime though, hopefully what has been uploaded will be helpful to someone.

EDIT: If anyone has issues joining the Group, or accessing any of the files, please feel free to send me a PM with a list of what you want and an E-Mail address, I will gladly send the files to you.
Important: In the event that someone sees a file on here that they are the Author of, and for whatever reason, does not want their work to be posted to this Group, please let me know so I can remove it immediately, I will absolutely respect your wishes, and will not advertise it's removal.
Thanks for this Cyber! I never knew there were so many tutorials available.
Good idea.
I forgot to mention this before, but I am also adding things to the "Links" section.
I updated the first post with a list of what is available so far, and I'll post here as I make updates.

Ditto, I'm having the same trouble.
That's not cool, I'm not sure what the problem could be, I set this site up the same as I did my others.
If you guys still can't get in, let me know what files you want, PM me an E-Mail address, and I'd be glad to send the files out.
Don't think its you - I tried to sign up to some of Ink's groups that I had missed a couple of days ago and had the same problem. Just Yahoo messing up.
Just checked and looks like its still messed up.
Thanks for doing this, Cyber. It's great that there are actually backups for content just in case stuff happens.

Also, I plan on adding a new folder that will contain (init.py) files for both games. I've collected some from other members, but I'm not quite ready to add them to the site yet.

Thank you Nait. With as much information that has been shared in the past, I just want to try to make sure that as much of that information as possible will continue to be available for both new and veteran players alike.
Being fed up with Yahoo though, I'd still like to try and figure out how to add to the FR Wiki, but so far, I haven't been able to figure it out. Like I've said many times before, I am not really tech savvy, so I'm quite a bit over my head on this.
I still have quite a few other files that I need to go through, so the current plan is to keep updating the Group as time permits.

The Hex Editing File didn't want to play well when I tried to convert it to (PDF) Format, so I had to do a bit of editing to it. I think I got everything to translate correctly, but if anyone wants it, I do have the original file, and I could upload that as well.
This site will be very rarely updated for a while until life gets back to normal.

I apologize for the late reply Epi, I had tried to figure this out before, but free time is extremely limited, and computer time is even worse.
Certainly no need – at all – to apologize, even without taking into account your current RL issues. And thanks for keeping working on this.

Great work, CB! A nice resource to our whole community!
Thank you JJ, and it's great to see you back on FR.
On a side note, if you have any notes that you made for yourself while Modding, Skinning, or Skoping, I would gladly add them to the collection. :D

I should specify that this is an open offer to anyone. If anyone has created notes for themselves in regards to any aspect of content creation, or even for the FF games themselves, I will gladly add them to the collection.

Yahoo Groups Links:
- Bobby69
In the "Yahoo Groups Links" Section, I am going to be creating Sub-Folders for our Content Creators, and in these Sub-Folders, will be Links to their Yahoo Groups. Considering the number of Yahoo Groups floating around, this will probably be a permanent work in progress. If I create a Folder for one of our content creators and someone finds that I am missing a Link to one of their Yahoo groups, please let me know, currently I will be going by the Groups that I belong to, so I am sure I will be missing something.
I don't mean to be a wet blanket, Cyber, but a lot of the work you look to be doing regarding the Yahoo groups has already been done at the Freedom Force Link Portal: http://ffportal.negative-10.com/
I know that you were wanting to have a centralized place for everyone to go, but I hate to see you take all the time to post links and sort creators for the near thousand groups out there when most of the heavy lifting has already been done. Admittedly, the Portal is a bit out of date and is missing newer Yahoo groups, such as your own, but all of the other big boys who aren't still around are there: Beyonder, Texas Jack, Bobby69, Fusion, etc., plus a whole bunch of names I don't even recognize.
I think your FF Resource group is awesome and I keep forgetting to drop by to see what's there. I just hate to see you potentially spending a month of Sundays compiling resources for something that's probably 80% to 90% done already. If you still want to include all of the Yahoo links, I guess you could still use the Portal to check out all of the groups and, hopefully, expedite the process. I also have a reasonably good size list of groups that I belong to, so if you need any help, just let me know.
I didn't mean to rain on your parade. I think what you're doing is great and very much appreciated.
Hey Hoss, there was definitely no rain on my parade, and I appreciate the fact that you're looking out for me. The FF Portal is actual a site I continue to regularly visit, but the premise behind what I am doing is strictly to make sure that there is a back-up in case a site like the Portal goes down. Admittedly, Adding the Yahoo Links may seem a bit repetitive, but I'm hoping that it is beneficial in the long run.
BUMP!
For some reason I can't access files on the group
Are you getting an error message, is the site itself not loading, or is it just the files?
Well, just going off of my Wife's IPad, I can log into Yahoo and check my E-Mail, but for some reason, Yahoo Groups will not open at all. Is this what you are experiencing? Is anyone else having issues with Yahoo Groups?
I can load the group itself, but the files button is gray rendering it unclickable
Quote from: trebean on June 27, 2014, 11:12:53 AM

Same here.
I'm home now, so I'm back on my PC, but I can't seem to even access any Yahoo Group. The pages keep timing out. :banghead:
Yeah, the file button is just greyed out.
There might have been a change in the yahoo group settings (Cyber, I'd definitely check to make sure yahoo didn't change file availability for your group), but I'm not sure.
Yahoo groups have been getting crappier as the months go, and I would really hate to see all of your resources gone to waste, Cyber.
Yahoo needs to get its  together.
Ok, I finally got into the Group ( :banghead:), it looks like the settings were changed so that only moderators could access files, links, etc.
I think I have it fixed now, could someone please check and see if they can access the files and links, and let me know what happens?
Everything looks good to go!
Perfect, thanks Spyder.
Wow, I didn't realize how long it's been since I've made an update here. While I have been grabbing bits and pieces of information as I see it, and I've also received some great stuff from some of our fellow Community Members (Hoss20, Windblown, SickAlice, Etc., Etc., Etc.), I haven't really had the time to put things in order so I can upload them.
In the meantime though, I have added to the "Links" Section, specifically, the "Yahoo Groups Links".
Links:
Yahoo Groups Links:
3D Master
Atomic Robot
BeardedInLair
Beyonder
Bobby69
Champions Of Freedom
Courtnall6
Daglob
Detourne_Me
Flash_22798
Grenadier

Valandar
Vertex
ZerosMaster (WingZero)
If I am missing any Groups for these guys, or if the Links don't work, please let me know so I can update their Links. I'm trying to be as thorough as possible, but with the insane amount of Yahoo Groups out there, I'm pretty much guaranteed to miss something.
As I have the time, I'll continue to add what I can.
Again, if anyone has anything that they wish to add, please feel free to let me know.
A new sub-section has been added to the "Links" Section. There is now a sub-section titled "You Tube Links". It is definitely worth checking out, especially for those interested in taking up Skinning, or even if you're just interested in seeing how it's done.
Thanks for doing this, CB!
Thank you Epi, there are so many potential Resources out there, it's just a matter of really picking and choosing what can possibly be used for FF.
There have been more Links added to various Sections, but I just need to go back and update my original post with what I did add.
Under the Links for Yahoo Groups, I added Links for the following Members:
CmdrKoenig67
UnkoMan
USAgent
Zuludelta
EDIT:
Added: Phantom Stranger
Also Added: Felídeo (NightGroup)
Under the Links Section for Yahoo Groups, I added Links for the following:
Fusion
Johnny Patches
Tortuga
Toxic J
Twisted Earth
And I still have a list of about 30 more Creators to go through. I'll get there eventually, I hope...
Haha, you've set yourself a big goal! Thanks for all of your hard work on this, CB! It's truly appreciated!
This is just what I already have catalogued, there's no telling how many more Groups are actually out there.
I added a few more to the "Links" Section, specifically, the "Yahoo Groups Links":
Links:
Yahoo Groups Links:
Area34
Baroness
Billdamn22
Matrix
Mr Aratak
Only a few thousand more to go :P
If you ever find my two groups, let me know. Even i've forgotten what they're called and all my work is in them, skins and custom attributes...lost forever, lol
Absolutely, I'll keep an eye out for them. Is there anything that you could think of that might give me an idea as to what I'm looking for? Maybe a Cover Pic, or specific Skins, just something that I can identify the Groups as yours?
Been talking to daglob about it and I think I may have deleted them. I've been out of the community for about 8 years. The only work of mine that still exists is in FFX.
I was able to find one for you though:
https://groups.yahoo.com/neo/groups/voltimax_skins/info
I added a few more to the "Yahoo Groups Links" section:
Links:
Yahoo Groups Links:
Aphex Terrains
Archangel3387
Auridian
Revenant
Shazam - Voltimax
I forgot I had this site still up, but there might be a few that you can add (assuming they are still valid):
http://ffportal.negative-10.com/dir/12/Yahoo-Groups
This is fantastic Goggles, quite a few names I'm not familiar with here. It may take me a while to go through everything, see what's still working and all, but this is great! Thank you!
Just out of curiosity, are people having issues with Yahoo Groups, either Joining them, Accessing Files, or whatever? I'm just wondering if maybe I should try to find an alternative Host for the Freedom Force Resources.
Any feedback on this would really be appreciated.
This is an updated File for M25's Mod Tools. It now includes the Keyframe Transfer Tool, and a bunch of Tutorials meant for Mod Makers.

Hey, CB.
Thank you so much for your effort on keeping our "memories" alive. You made a great job making sure those resources are available after all those years.
Hey JJ, glad to see you back. I try to add what I can, when I can...Some old, some new, hopefully people will find a use for some of this.
I added a bit more to the "Links" Section, including a new Section Titled "Freedom Force History":
Links:

For anyone that tried to get into one of my Yahoo Groups and wasn't able to, I apologize, the settings had previously been changed (Not by me), and I haven't been able to change them back. I've been out of State the last few weeks with almost NO Cell or Internet Service, and didn't check Yahoo at all. If you still want into the Groups, re-apply, and send me a PM to let me know, and I'll approve you. Again, I apologize for any inconvenience.
For those wanting to try experimenting with Blender, here's a very simple YouTube Video I found that shows what you need to get started.

Thanks, CB!
Don't think I posted these, but in the Links Section, under MediaFire Links, you can find FRP and FRP2.

Nice find, CB. I've been kicking the tires of Unity since last Spring, and there are tons of in-depth resources available on it and on Blender on YouTube and various sites. It's also been rather easy to find e-books for almost nothing, via Humble Bundle and subscription services such as Scribd.
I still have a lot of stuff sitting on my Flash Drive, but considering all of the issues that we've been having with Yahoo, I don't know if I want to keep that going.
Been considering other options, but with time being so limited, not sure if I can make anything happen.
Unfortunately, free time has been non-existent for me, so I haven't made any updates to the site, nor have I looked for any options in regards to finding a replacement site. But for now, since it is a common request, I added the "Deadpool_Muscular_Updated" Mesh to the MediaFire Links Section.

I believe this is the location for the software that lets you convert files from (.dae) to (.fbx) to (.obj).

This program is really useful if you want to use XPS/XNALara files for importing characters, too.
In Blender I import the .nif of the base mesh, and delete everything but the actual mesh (so I delete the rigging, selection/bounding boxes, etc) and export it as an .fbx
Then with htis convertor I export it to a static .obj (sometimes the Blender export to static .obj won't work well with xps)
Then, I can resize and position the xps character in the Posing Studio, using the static obj of the base mesh as a mold. Export that as an OBJ, then it's really easy to import the new obj into Blender to do a bone weight copy for easy rigging.
I wonder if that holds true for weapons as well because there had been a lot that I wanted to import, but couldn't because they were in XPS/XNALara format.
for weapons in xps format, all you need to do is export them as .obj with XNALara. pretty simple :)

Interesting, I deleted so many files because they were in that format. I may have to consider re-installing.
While I haven't made any updates to the site for a while, I came across this and thought it might be useful to those using Paint.Net.

With Yahoo Groups going away, I'm considering putting together a Google Site as a replacement. It may take a few years, but that's my eventual goal.
You could just put it on Mediafire for now, and I'd post a link to the main folder in the Living List.
So, since there have been a few requests asking about how I set up my File System so that I can use multiple "Characters" Folders, I went ahead and created a quick tutorial for it.

If anyone has any questions about this, feel free to ask. I'm also in the process of creating an alternate version that gives a better explanation of this system, so as soon as I get that finished, I'll post that as well.
