Well I got fed up with trying to run :ff: on my laptop through ubuntu and wine. The danger room would only run once, then it would crash, there were also sound issues.
I really wanted to start playing around with :ffvstr: so I rebuilt my old PC and put a fresh copy of windows xp on it. I'm now able to to play and mod the original :ffvstr:.
Anyway, to the question.
I have not followed Marvel and DC comics for many years. I have recently heard DC have a new 52 universe and that Superman has a new power. Do any of you guys have a take on a hero file for him? Is he the same as the old superman with the exception of his new power.
I don't have a hero file based on him, but yeah, he's essentially the same (personality aside), with him arguably being able to lift more, but having a bit less durability than Post-Crisis (1986-2011) Superman.
His new ability is a gigantic solar flare (the "Super Flare") which is a kind of last resort kind of move as it strips him of his powers for a while.
Other than that, he would be built just like the original Superman (it really depends on how you built the old Superman), just with the new "Super Flare".
There's an attribute that does that, but I forget the name. That sounds like a good fit.
Is it "Kamikaze?"
I don't remember correctly, but I think kamikaze caused an explosion when your character dies. I believe it might be thunderclap that BG is referring too. I know there's a customizable power that costs negative effects on the character, like one minute without energy recharge, or something like that.

Oh, I thought that Kamikaze was just "explode; customize bad effect", lol :P
Is Megablast what you are talking about?
Ahh, Megablast sounds about right.
Megablast was a beam attack. DM is right, though.
Thunderclap is the one that does an area attack at some cost to the user.
Ahh, I was thinking it was a beam he could do. I don't know about most New 52 stuff beyond the surface level.
So is new 52 current, or is it like Marvel's ultimate universe?
This old man is getting confused, lol

As far as I'm aware, the characters redefined in the New 52 are the "current" versions of the characters, but ever since Convergence, they're no longer referred to as "New 52"
It's not like Marvel's Ultimate universe, as it is the main DC canon, now. But, a lot of older characters and stories were made canonical in the aforementioned Convergence event, they're just part of different universes.
