It's a very nice Mod.
The meshes and skins are great, the feel is quite different to standard superheroics, the storyline is intriguing.
I've only played the first mission so far, and I don't much like 'sneaking about not being seen' missions, but it plays well and offers a challenge.
I'm glad you got to release the Mod, "well done"s and "thank you"s to all involved.
Great stuff.

Looks very cool. I haven't had any technical problems so far, but I'm stuck on the first mission:
Spoiler
Is there some special trick to remaining unseen? It seems no matter which way I go, I'm surrounded by people. I tried going across the rooftops, but that's problematic since he won't jump from one roof to another... he just climbs back down, usually right in front of someone. Am I missing something obvious?

you're a hitman! shoot anyone you can't avoid using the "aimed shot". overpower it though to make sure they don't have time to see you.

Spoiler
Honestly, it was easy, I just waited till they looked the other way and jumped off building to run across street to alley

Ah. Didn't realize I was allowed to snipe 'em. That makes a big difference.  Thanks. ^_^

Yes I left the moral choice to the player. You can either sneak through the city and kill no innocents or snipe whoever you want as long as you are not seen. Though regarding a trick to not be seen. if you explore the city there are areas that are crowded and areas that are quiet

I didn't know I could do that, and it worked just fine for me...you have to loop around the long way, along the edge buildings. Cut through the alleys whenever you can!

Xenolith

I guess "Xenolith" would be a super-villain.  :)

Still loving the mod C4!  Got a question, though:

Spoiler
How do you 'cause a distraction' in the silhouette mission?  I've tried blowing up the fuel tanks and a few toher things, but nothing seems to work.

Sorry to keep asking stupid questions.  About the Vista mission:
Spoiler
Can someone give me a hint about stopping the helicopter? I honestly have no idea what I'm supposed to be doing.

You probably have the same problem JKCarrier had. Check the bug thread. I will post up proper fixes with update to newest ffx as soon as I can.

You need to bring it down first. Normaly in FF what type of powers stop a flier then bring him down

JKCarrier

Still not getting it, I'm afraid  :(
Spoiler
I'm trying to throw stuff at the helicopter, but the objects he can Spirit Lift only do a tiny amount of damage. I can get maybe 2 shots in before it escapes, and I'm barely putting a dent in it. I'm probably missing something obvious (again)...

Took it out in 3 hits  1. spirit hold  2. another spirit attack that slammed it on the ground  3. forget but it hurt

Weird. I can sometimes get a spirit hold off, but it won't let me do either of the ranged melee attacks... they're greyed out.

This is amazing, very much worth my first post. Easily the most innovative and ambitious mod I've played (though admittedly I haven't played a whole lot.) I had the usual trouble getting it working, but once I patched in the workaround it ran like a dream-- no crashes, no bugs that I can remember. I have three main points of praise:

1. Like everyone else, I'm blown away by the visuals. The character skins, the meshes, the areas, everything is beautiful and conveys a mood that's amazingly distinct from the unmodded game. Nothing but love here.

2. The mission designs. They're all a blast to play through, and more impressively they're each really unique. There's a lot of stuff here I never would have believed you could do in Freedom Force, and almost none of it feels kludgy.

3. The character builds. So far the characters are just a ton of fun, and they've each got a style of play that's distinct from each other and from anything in the core game. Vista in particular is a joy to play.

My only criticisms are that the spelling and grammar issues really took me out of things in some places, and there was a lack of polish in a few places-- Seeing Dwight Arrow walking down the street description-and-all, the atomic trashcan in Vista's mission, etc. I'm usually a stickler for that sort of thing, though, so the fact that it didn't completely put me off is a testament to the overall quality of this project.

Eagerly awaiting the next installment.

And I am glad you registered. This is exactly the type of post us modders appreciate. Giving praise in detail and giving feedback on possible improvement. Exactly what I am looking for.

As much time as I have put into their powers I am off course open to ideas if some one can think of something to make them more fun to play.

Without exception Vista has been everyone who gave me feedback's favourite to play. And I believe the spirit punch is their top choice.

I will admit eventhough I did well in English I always made it up in creativity and poetry for my grammar. And english is my second language. I do think I am the type of writer that needs an editor. So if there is some english teacher/lecturer or expert in the forum willing to edit my lines/story please help out.

The editor has an interesting bug where it changes one object to the first one in the list which is the abomb. I try to catch it evertime I work on a mission but yeah.

Kidding. This is awesome, C4, thanks!

Very cool Mod, C4!  It clearly shows a lot of time was spent on all aspects, story, art, level design, gameplay, etc.  Thanks for this!  :D

Heh

Sadly the new ffx is so different that when you load the old save games it goes bonkers.

C4

After the update I have not heard from anyone again. So is all good?

From Freedom United I got a report on the flying melee, and I am working on it.

I have some stuff to show on episode 2 in the next few days. So don't worry its coming.

C4

With recent forum related issues I was a bit down and out.

But things are back into motion again, and I should be showing off some second episode stuff
real soon.

A couple of months ago I showed the promo video, that was in fact only the first half.

Here is the full thing.

on the same link as the old promo video.

You show an insane amount of talent! You should think of doing kingdom hearts characters or even more movie styled superheroes. Batman, superman, spiderman etc... Looks cool! Keep up the good work.

C4, you are astounding. Haha. This looks too cool for school!

Outstanding video C4!
i guess I'll have to play the mod again..and again...and again

splunge

Loved it!  Can't wait for episode 2

C4

Yep I have not been around, thanks to the wonder that is Windows Vista.

This little gem screwed me up: http://forums.nvidia.com/index.php?showtopic=33090

But after wasting weeks trying to fix it and then packing my laptop into a corner and saying stuff it I last night realized I NEED Reformed. So well if tonight I can't get this fixed I am going to take my laptop to get it reset.

Just before this I had almost finished a cool Serengeti video, and episode 2 was not far off as well. So heres hoping I can give you guys some stuff real soon.

Oh and thanks for the comments on the promo vid.  ^_^
