Real life Halloween Scrooge

I mean the whole maneuver was pretty mean spirited, but her comments make it even worse.

Why is she even asking children who they support?...Ugh!  What a rotten human being.

While I agree with her political viewpoints, I obviously don't think this was the right way to express them. On the other hand, at least, she put a sign out, and no one had to go to her door.  It is her candy and she does have the right to give it to whom she wants to although I obviously think this a very poor idea.

Yeah, I just can't see denying a kid candy on Halloween.  I just wouldn't have it in me.

My parents don't believe in Halloween and thus refuse to give out candy period, on the extremely rare occasion that they are actually in the U.S. and living in a regular neighborhood.  In spite of that, I don't recall them actually having to turn away trick or treaters, just that they had discussed what to do if someone did drop by.

Myself, my apartment is not effected, but if it were I would also not give out candy.  I am, however, an amature balloon artist and would offer custom-made animal balloons instead, which I imagine all the kiddies would be quite happy with.
