Felt sad today...

Man... I remember getting a string of messages from Dan a few days before his death, but I was too boneheaded to think that they might have been for something serious... I just assumed they were about a bunch of skins we were working on together and thought that he could wait at least a couple of days for a response. It was only after I'd heard the shocking news of his death from HQ that I opened up Yahoo! Messenger and got to see the messages he had sent... and they were all of him looking to just talk about life and stuff in general... he wasn't trying to get in touch with me as "Paradox, FF skinner," he was reaching out as Dan Farhi, fellow music and comic book enthusiast, and more importantly, my friend.

I haven't been able to finish a skin since, I think. It was my first experience of true "Internet grief"... losing a friend I had never even met in person although one I'd known for years. There was no frame of reference for how I was supposed to take the loss, and it would have been an interesting look at how the grieving process, and social relations in general, have been interminably changed by the internet if it weren't so sad.

I just wanted to thank you for the update, I was a huge fan of all the Matrix skins and I had figured that he just quit the community. While it is sad news I still rather know.
