When first looking at this I was like...
"OMG!"

Then The more I went through it, the more my reaction turned to...
"OMG!! I watched this!"

I dont remember the details, but there are specific snapshot memories I have of watching this when I was a kid. I don't know where or when, but in the recesses of my mind, its there (right alongside Electra-Woman and Dynagirl)

JeyNyce

I remember both of those shows as well as the Captain Marvel/ Isis hour TV show.

I actually own this...trainwreck.

I watched these shows (there was a Superhero Roast special also) back when they aired. My memories were much more kind than the reality of the show.

OWN???
As in have a personal copy that was exchanged for actual money and/or services?
And you publicly admit this?

I'm shocked.
I'm Aghast.

I'm a little jealous....

Spring Heeled Jack

Looking at those photos, I kept expecting to see Kiss in there somewhere.*

Man, when I was in 5th grade that was the coolest made-for-tv movie!  Of course I haven't seen it since I was 11 so I have no idea how it would hold up to a more "mature" appraisal.  Not well, I think.

"Not well" would be kind.

I think the Kiss Movie appeals to the most die-hard of fans and that's why they included a special fully-restored european unrated cut on a special disc within the newest Kissology DVD set. I don't remember much of my youth but I do remember watching that movie when it first aired on cable and sat jaw dropped at the wild combination of hard rock and semi-superhero B-movie level of entertainment. Must have had made some kind of impression on me.

Edit: Snipped from a review on Amazon.com

QuoteThere are some other goodies, but the one I intentionally left out until now is KISS in ATTACK OF THE PHANTOMS - the European theatrical version of KISS Meets the Phantom of the Park. Supposedly there are scenes cut from the US version, and the score is different in parts as well. This will be a lot of fun to watch - as long as you "get it." It's a 70's campy TV movie, and for that time and genre it is a lot of fun.

Also - ATTACK OF THE PHANTOMS is practically a different movie from Phantom of the Park. Previously unused scenes, extended scenes, music from the solo albums as part of the score, and a rearranged order of what happens in the movie. Some of these things are HUGELY positive (added scenes and dialogue is a big improvement), but some are detrimental (taking events out of order hurts the movie as some things make even LESS sense here). ATTACK is also in anamorphic widescreen, cropped from the original 4:3 TV format (although the cropping is usually done very well).

Whoa! I didn't know that Attack of the Phantom was basically the same thing as Phantom of the Park. Not that I'd ever buy any of those Kissology things, but I'm sure they're better than the VHS bootleg I bought of the film.

Glitch Girl

I vaguely remember watching this as a very little girl.  I thinhk I thought it was goofy back then too.
