I saw it. Serious SQUEEEEE factor. Majorly happy. Was very confused where a soda machine and a mobile phone got live ammunition, but I went with it. Did all the new 'sparksters' (not my term) turn into decepticons or is that just a default setting or something? Overall, very enjoyable, even if I had to spend a few minutes explaining why Megatron died but not Optimus. ("Didn't the big swirly guy WANT the spark?" "Not inside HIS spark" "Theres two sparks?" "No...no, one All-Spark" etc. etc.)

The soda machine was firing off cans of soda (which can hurt if they hit hard enough - see Stephen King's Maximum Overdrive for a more bloody example) from a multi-chamber gernade launcher on his arm (I was able to find a photo of the Mountain Dew Transformer from a friend of mine). I'm not sure where the live ammo from the cell phone came from but it was probably because of the high power level of the charge directly from the All-Spark to actually allow it to manifucture it's own ammo.

The video game inspired by the movie actually explains that these random transformations actually turn them into "mindless drones" which automatically attack humans for some reason until they are actually given a spark (i.e. soul) which would turn them good or evil.

Me too, that girl's pretty cute. Heh, just kidding. That is one sweet Soundwave figure. Lot better than the one I had as a kid (which was really just a tape player shaped like Soundwave with no moving limbs, and it also didn't work.
