Difficulty impact on prestige?

Just curious if anyone can confirm this..

Will increasing the difficulty net you more prestige?

I ahven't played in a while, so I could be wrong, but my recollection is that increasing the difficulty has no effect other than making the game more difficult. If you want more prestige, though, my recollection is that there's a pretty easy "prestige cheat" involving slightly altering the text in one file. I can't remember which file off hand, though.

Ah, thanks.

I actually knew about the cheat, but I'm the kind of dork who tries to do as much as possible without cheats of any sort. :P Might resort to it anyway, though.

Previsionary

increasing the difficulty may have an indirect impact on prestige. Some missions are set up to handle the difficulty setting by adding more enemies and such...so...the more enemies, the more prestige.
