Ok, The Master Mesh List is a great help for finding mainstream meshes, but is there a Master Skin List?

Nope. There're way too many skins and variations/creators of character skins than meshes. This is also why we don't have a "hex/skope" master list.

I'd say best bet is to check out the skins forum, and then if you see anything you like in threads, check out that person's signature link or website (if they have either).

Barring that, if you are looking for mainstream stuff you can just post your skin request here. If it's been skinned somebody should be able to help you out.

this idea doesn't work as well as it did several years ago, but i still am sometimes able to google the words freedom-force, skins, and the name of the skin and get fairly decent results.

I think the best thing to do is just post the name and image of the skin/mesh in request forum. People are always helping out when people are looking for certain characters.
