After all of the stress from the last year.. my family decided to go spend a weekend in Tennesse and visit their various tourist destinations there. One of the places we had to go to was the Hollywood StarCars Museum since it featured the collection of George Barris (who is the penultimate custom car designer in Hollywood) and probably well known to the automotive trivia nuts out there reading this. So, what was there that would thrill this community?

To be nice I'll hide the majority of photos behind the spoiler tag...
First up, The Classic Mach 5 Replica

This version was based on the cartoon and has a more "classic" look to it.. however since George designed the Mach 5 and 6 cars used in the new movie they will be added to the museum this Christmas.

Next, The General Lee

Of course this had to be at the museum since die hard fans know that Dukesfest was held in Tennesse for it's 25th Anniversary.

Next, The DeLorian Time Machine

Ah, yes... The classic car from The Back To The Future trilogy... plus the futuristic cop motorcycle and artifact display...

Next, KITT 2000

If there ever was a car with a personality... KITT from Knight Rider was it. Pardon the blurr on the first pic but the light on front of Kitt and the monitor with blueprints of the car made my autofocus go nuts.

Next, The Ecto-1

Ah, yes.. nothing more classic then the original Ghostbusters car.. man, that brings back memories... I want one of my own.

And just to make this officially comic book related... The Batmobile!

Of course it's the one from Batman Returns but it's still a pretty cool car in person...
and let's not forget the bat-gadgets... I think the first four Batfilms are prepresented.
And there are alot more.. but I'm taking a break for tonight... enjoy what I have shown thus far.

Guess it's time for another update to my Hollywood StarCars Museum visit..

And once again it's hidden behind a spoiler cut..
and what better way to start it off then Bond.. James Bond's Car from Goldeneye that is.

And of course they have the biggest Bond prop collection ever...

And speaking of Bond-like.. Next up, Vin Diesel's GTO from xXx!

And you just have to love all the toys inside of it...

Want more Diesel drivin' movie cars? Okay, then here is The Eclipse from The Fast And The Furious...

Next up, Eleanor from Gone In 60 Seconds...

I'm being watched, a T-800 with his Motorcycle is looking for John Conner...

Okay, it's just a wax model but it's next to some props.. let's take a look...

Speaking of Arnold movies, next is The RoboTaxi from Total Recall...

Hear that roar, it's a Twister.. well, It's Jo's Stormchaser Truck with Dorthy in back...

Wait, it's actually a roar from a T-Rex.. with the Jurassic Park Autodriving Tour Truck..

and finally I feel like making a smuggling run across the south in a Firebird Trans-Am..
Yes, It's Smokey And The Bandit's classic car...
Whew! I hope this is amusing to look thru for you folks in pictures... and yet there is still more to come..

I don't know if I like the pics or the wording you have to go with them.

MJB

Somewhere in Momma_MJB's house there's two pictures of the only famous cars I actually saw. When I was like 9 the General Lee and Kitt came to our local Civic Center and I got pictures from inside Kitt and standing with Enos and the General. :D

Awesome pics and captions, Crimson. :mjb:
