Trying to install FX but FFEdit is not working

When I click on the FX tab I get a message that says, "fx dat could not be located or created". In fact when I click on any of the tabs, it tells me they can't be opened. Why is FFEdit doing this?

where did you install it, what directory is your game and is it FF or FFVTTR?

Actually, you've probably got a typo in the mod directory FFEdit is set to.

I'm a idiot  :doh:. I forgot to extract the data. Thanks for help though.
