A Family Loss...

Hopefully you folks remember when I made my post about a car crashing into my grandparents house and then him having a stroke and falling ill a few months later.

Anyway, those grandparents are my mothers.. so taking care of my grandmother has become a priority for our family lately... hence me having to visit my parents every other weekend to help out.
My uncle from Atlanta (my mom's brother) has been taking care of my grandparents house for awhile now since the repairs on the house were started... to make a long story short he has been having marriage problems and needed a place to crash when he was not traveling for work.

I just found out that my uncle commited suicide last night...

I'm speechless.. shocked... among many other things. My wife is away on work travel for 2 weeks and gets back this Friday.. and the only other person in the house is my son who isn't ready for news like this. All he knows is that his uncle "passed away" last night.

I'm trying to go on with the week as normal and finish working on stuff as usual... but I'm pretty emotionally wrecked at the moment.

Thank you all for your support and prayers... my family appricated it.

I spent this weekend at my parents lakehouse trying to comfort both my mother and grandmother which went pretty well but it was quite obvious that things will not return to "normal" for quite some time. I also talked with my Aunt (my Uncle's wife who he was having the marriage problems with) before I left back home today. She informed me that things had been improving between them but he seemed to be holding some emotion within himself far too much and spent more time then usual with his two teenage daughters and often called his oldest daughter (from a former marriage) to see how she was doing. My aunt was pretty devistated and had a hard time talking on the phone but that was probably because she has been getting phone calls all weekend and taking care of arrangements. His funeral was Saturday however since it was too far a trip for a weekend they set up a second service to be held at the family burial site in August which is in Pennsylvania near my parents so my mother, grandmother, and the folks who couldn't travel to say goodbye.

I'm pretty tired so I'm off to bed... Thanks again for all the support...
