Superpowered

I would use my powers to drive strangers insane during their lunch hour.
Not sure if that's evil or not, but it would be fun.

I like Robert Kirkman's answer to the question of whether he would like to be a superhero if he could.  He said that he is happy being himself with a normal life.  He said that superheroes have too many problems which outweigh having powers...like being hunted/tormented by super criminals 24-7 and always worrying about your loved ones.

But if I had the EM powers of my avatar, that would rock too!  I would love to be able to fly, to be able pick up heavy ferrous based objects, be able to project a powerful force fields to protect myself and others, to control computers and other electronic equipments, short out electronic equipment and stun opponents with powerful electric blasts etc.   I would probably form my own non-profit organization to help others with my powers...maybe by traveling all over the world during times of disaster to provide relief.  That way through donations I could fund my operations.  But I doubt I would be a crime fighter.  But I wouldn't shun it either if crimes were being committed near by....Well, that's my initial thought on it any way.  But the monastery route doesn't sound so bad either. ;)

My avatar had the ability to absorb energy and then fire out energy blasts and such.  I doubt I would find much use for those powers.  He can fly, but I'm afraid of heights so that wouldn't be much fun.  I wouldn't really want to do the traditional superhero stuff, and I doubt I would be very good at it.  I don't like confrontations, and my avatar's powers don't offer any protection against getting stabbed or shot.  I suppose I might be of use if a fire breaks out, given that my avatar can extinguish fires just by touching them.  However, I'd still have to worry about smoke inhalation, so I wouldn't be able to do all that much.

On the upside, it'd be a great help if I ever got tasered.

Although i would like them, being a superhero isn't really practical. For one it's very hard to find crimes that are in progress to stop, without it being complete luck.

However, I'd like to think myself brave and given my powers, braver. I'd probably don my costume and contact the police aiming for a job as a sort of 1 man police raid force. So next time they need to raid a house in Camden for drugs they could just send Lunarman instead of a whole squad of police.

If i had the powers I really want (shapeshifting) I would just abused them, spending time sneaking into conversations, playing practical jokes...

However Lunarman's powers are too heroic to be bad, and hey, saving London would be cool.

Yeah, I wouldn't mind being the defender of London either.  That sounds cool!

Given that The Phantom Bunburyist embodies both a parody of a type and an apotheosis (short of being elevated to a god, of course), my embrace of his lifestyle would definitely need to be à la carte.  Of course, any adaptations I would need to make would be complicated by the fact that I am a pacifist, a Neo-Marxist, overly cautious, and, generally speaking, an introverted misanthrope in RL in contradistinction to TPB's carefree cane-play, capitalist excesses (though, I like to think that he believes in the virtues of socialism at the same time), spontaneity, and generally jovial, convivial manner.

The Hitman

If I had my avatar's powers... I'd be shiny blue.

But seriously folks, I'd almost have to do something with them. I'd stand out too much. Probably try the hero thing, but then get bored and, I dunno, run an all- night diner or something. (Hitman's only actual power is to not need sleep or food.)
