Out of CoH/V, for now.

Just thought I'd let the FR supergroup know that I'm dropping out of CoH for now. Since my wife and I both play CoH and LOTRO (four accounts), we've come to the conclusion that we can't afford monthly fees for both games right now. Given the choice, LOTRO wins for us, though we love both games.

Guess I'll be in Freedom Force more often for my superhero game fix now. Maybe it'll get me back into skinning. :)

So I'll understand if we get back in later and Lionheart FR is no longer an FR member.

Have fun with LOTRO!  It's nice that you play with your wife.  My honey won't go anywhere near a video game  :P

:D CoH caught her interest a year ago, then LOTRO stole her MMO heart back in alpha.

The Phantom Eyebrow

Sorry to hear you're out of Paragon City Lionheart, although I admit that LOTRO looks fun from the bit I've seen on it.

Thanks to Lionhearts kind wife I got to test drive LOTRO a couple of weeks ago. It was nice but CoH is where I get my jollies.

Have fun Lionheart!

Glad you had fun.  :)

I'm just glad CoH doesn't delete characters. We've grown attached to quite a few of our characters and want them to be there when we get back.

True, I've been playing that game for sometime now, but I had too stop for similar reasons. I love the fact that they don't delete characters and give you certain rewards for playing for a certain amount of time (monthly wise).

I liked LOTRO, but was bored with it after a month or so.

I expect more from my fantasy gaming than it was offering at that time, but I suspect I'll be checking it out again with their next big update in content.

With a number of alts going, I haven't come anywhere near to exhausting the content yet, so it's still clicking pretty well for me. Book 10 will hit this month; if I recall, book 11 may be slated for October.

There isn't much endgame yet (that sounds weird in a dynamic world; there should be no endgame, just more game), but the game is only three months old.

However, I probably should stop talking LOTRO in the CoH forum. Basically I just wanted to let the FR team know that I'm going to be out of CoH action for a while.
