Do we memorize ALL recipes after crafting them 10 times?

Or just the common ones?

Well thats disappointing, considering most of the common recipes can be bought off the tables as well.

They all can.

The bonus is that you save cash.

I don't have any characters that can afford to buy one recipe ten times over, much less the amount of Inf needed to craft it.

But I'd say if I was going to invest in memorizing any recipe, it probably better be Invention:Accuracy.

When you memorize a recipe, do you memorize it at each specific level then?

I have a question.  Are people finding the regular IOs, such as Invention: Accuracy, worth the trouble and influence to craft?  It seems to me that the ones that have set bonuses are more worthwhile.  What do you all think?

You have to memorize at every level range. Offhand I don't recall but here's the info.

They're better. Are they significantly better? Well... maybe, maybe not, but I know peopole who spend millions in influence on their costumes, so at least this has a legitimate performance increase.

Moreover, the percentage of performance benefit of the IOs reaches and begins to increasingly surpass that of SOs around lvl30. Add to that the fact that they won't degrade as you level and I believe that, yes, IOs are worth it.  But that's once you get to 30.  Before then, it doesn't appear to be worth the trouble or influence.

Paying 400k+ for what works out to be a glorified 51++ or 52+ SO isn't worth it to me.  The sets are much more appealing.

Yeah, that's what I was referring to.

That's what I'm afraid of...  It seems like the whole Invention system is geared toward much higher level characters.  Even my 20's and high teens can't afford to make or buy too many IO's.  I'm hoping that some judicious selling of recipes will boost my influence enough to do something with it.

Plus, the whole thing seems to be entirely too dependent on Wentworth's and I dread stepping in there.  Just going in one, let alone actually activating the auction house, I court lags, rubber-banding, and mapserver disconnects.  Hopefully things will improve.  And I'm also hoping to find some reasonably priced RAM to make my troubles fade a bit.

Im approaching the entire thing at this point as what I like to call the "waiting for the DVD" approach.

are the I/O's cool? Kinda. Are the sets neat? sure.  Do  I REALLY feel like busting my arse to fill out all my slots  with the new candy? not really. If and When I get the drops and have the items for Sets, Ill make em. Hell, Ill  even unload the excess. But no way in hell am I farming anything or getting into ridiculous bidding wars to get butterfly wings.

Well... yes... pretty much all of i9 is geared towards the uppper levels because it's a 'problem' many users have been asking the devs to fix for quite a while: There's no high level/endgame content. The idea that inventions are geared that way isn't a big surprise; it's phat l3wt for the ADDled masses that wouldnt' be able to pay attention otherwise.

I've always understood that Inventions grew out of the Legends system for level 50 type characters... I guess I'm just disappointed that it's not living up to the promise for us lowbies.

On the other hand, I'm pretty happy that I'm getting DO's in drops now and don't have to worry as much about where I'm getting the influence to buy them with.  And I am getting some cool salvage and recipes, even if I can't afford to use them myself.
