I get a Black Screen and it won't startup... anyone else have this problem?
:(
Call Nintendo and see if they can replace it for you. If you want to troubleshoot it yourself, check the power connection & the connections to the TV.
Make sure the TV is turned on :P (trying to put a smile on your face)
Once my Wii didn't work....it was because the maid (Ayi in Chinese) cleaning my apartment unplugged it. I didn't pay much attention when it was installed so I plugged it back in and turned it on and SNAP CRACKLE POP --got a little light show with the sound effects and a burning smell. Turns out I plugged it directly into the wall instead of the 220V-120V converter. I got a new power supply and the problem was solved.
Am I immature if the topic title made me chuckle?

What on earth could you find funny about a man with a broken Wii?
I hope I'm not too late. I had this twice. Both times the power button light didn't glow either. In the instruction manual it says to unplug wait for 2 minutes and plug it back in. It worked for me.
Hope this will help.

Back when I was working in the ER, I once had to call in for an authorization to an insurance company for a 24 hour observational stay, the complaint was for a fractured wii.
It took me 15 minutes to convince them I was serious.
