So, it was my gf and my anniversary. She likes to do things together and suggested a movie. We're both into horror flicks so compromised on The Haunting of Molly Hartely. Wow, all I can say is don't waste your time. Without giving anything away, this movie blows. I waited for an hour and 20 minutes to start building up and it never did. It just kinda ends. Very predictable in every sense. Both she and I were mad. So, to get our money's worth from that awful thing we just saw, we decided to stay and watch the next movie in a differnt theater. That movie was......
Max and Miri Make A Porn. My day was saved by this movie. There was so much vile profanity shooting out in the 1st 6 mins I wondered why people that came with their children didn't run out of the movie screaming. Everybody played their parts well and the chemistry between Max and Miri was very believable. Go see it, but please leave the young ones at home.
It's Zack, not Max, and yeah, that's really good to hear as I thought the movie looked pretty funny, and I'm also a fan of Kevin Smith. Hopefully I'll see it soon.
also, Molly Hartley has a 0% rating at Rotten Tomatoes. Hardly any horror movies do good on that website (Even some of the good ones) but a 0% is just downright terrible. I think the last movie to get that low of score was "One Missed Call", which my gf saw and hated it, lol.
Eh, I was slightly drunk when I posted that. Thanks for the save.

Not to threadjack but I thought One Missed Call was pretty decent. ..
I found "The Changeling" to be sorta disappointing. The story is good but just misses exceptional. The "twist" at the end is a let down. Angelina Jolie in the lead role takes away from the effect of the film. I agree with the reviewer who remarked that instead of watching "an ordinary woman in extraordinary circumstances" that are we are asked to watch "an international superstar pretend to be average". This movie will be pushed as an Oscar contender because of the lead actress and director. I won't argue that Eastwood directed a good movie and should perhaps be considered. I will argue that if Angelina Jolie gets nominated then it will be because of "her name" or because of the lack of other credible contenders.
I'm waiting for Zack and Miri on DVD just for the extras.
And "Molly Hartley" ? Bleh, no plans to see it anyway.
