Title: Can't get a cape to work, still
Post by: Carravaggio on October 29, 2008, 02:12:27 AM
Hey gang,

I've read other people's responses to this question, but I'm still getting weird results, capes that morph through shins or don't stay attached to shoulders.
Can someone please tell me, in point form, how to add a cape and the elements needed to make it move, to a capeless mesh? I've managed to get it to work once but I don't recall exactly how.
Thanks in advance.

Carravaggio, i've been working with capes and, sometimes it's hard, if you want, send me the mesh and i will try to fix (or re-create) it, but usually problems with capes are due to the kfs... and i don't know anithing 'bout kfs

I've had better luck to find a cape mesh the right size I need and scope everything onto it.  If a mesh doesn't have a cape already it doesn't have the bone for the cape.  I've got capes to work on non cape meshs with nif tools, but they won't animate right.
