While I think that much of the crisis is the fault of greedy borrows as much as lenders, that is clearly not the case with an elderly woman like this. My own grandmother, who lived in a house that had been payed off years ago, was tricked somehow into getting into a morgage or lean or something of the sort and nearly lost her house. Had to sell it, as a matter of fact, although it was too big and hard to take care of anyway. People who take advantage of the elderly like that don't deserve to be called human beings.
