Title: You Tube
Post by: Cyber Burn on September 13, 2008, 11:30:50 PM
I know that this is probably a dumb question, but can you save a video from you tube onto your computer? And if so, how could I do that? Sorry, but I haven't messed with you tube much before, so I don't know what it's capable of. Thank you.

The straight answer would be no you can't save videos from YouTube, but when there's a will there's a way.  FireFox has addons you can install that would let you download videos from site like youtube and others.

I've used www.mediaconverter.org for school projects in the past. The quality isn't great and there are some occasional sound synching errors

Download Helper (http://www.downloadhelper.net/)

I'd definitely recommend keepvid, too.

Generally, downloading a video from Youtube is an option that is very much last resort, as most of the uploaders don't pay attention to sound quality, video quality...stuff it. Quality in general :D
