Hi all, sorry for this noob question but could someone give me an idiots guide ( speak real slow...) to setting up the grapple melee in ffx 3.3. I have downloaded taskmasters hero files and many of his characters have grapple powers, but when i use them in game the energize power is used.

It's all in the manual. Go to your FFX3 folder, then look in the Manual folder. Click on the "index" file from there.
From there, on the left side menu, click on Attack Types, and then Grapple. Read it carefully...it explains what you have to do.
When it comes to customization (which you have to do), the ffxcustom.py and ffxcustom2.py files are in your ffx3/Missions/Script folder.

If the hero files you downloaded are only using Energize, then you probably missed the step of copying over the text from the ffxcustom_TMX.py included with the hero file pack. Read not only the FFX manual but also the Instructions included with the Hero File Pack.
