Title: Ipod help
Post by: doctorchallenger on June 23, 2008, 06:13:16 PM
I dropped my beloved Ipod today, and it stopped working.  I tried restoring it to its factory settings, but I'm getting nothing.. Any suggestions?

Try holding the center button, and I think Play/Pause for at least ten seconds or so. And if that doesn't work, then it's center button and menu. The iPod should restart. Hope this helps.

If that doesn't work I sure hope you bought the extended warranty.

SPAM was thinking of the menu and center button.

I agree with MJB though

I would recomend a Cowon. I've dropped that thing a dozen times without it breaking (even got it wet) and the one time it got bricked while updating the firmware they repaired it no questions asked.

Same happened to me with my video ipod (well no dropped so much as my cat spilled mouthwash on it...yeah it was really my fault). The only luck you may have is taking to an Apple store but if there is no warranty you're SOL.
