After hinting and beating them upon the head a few times it has took me over 2 years to get 3D Studio Max to be taught at two colleges here in my home town. The college that I'm going to haven't started asking me this but my old college has.
What are the best books that you can buy for learning 3D Studio Max?
Any Suggestions?
Anything by Michele Bousquet. She writes very student friendly books. You can find them on Amazon.
Yeah, look at Model, Rig, Animate!
Does anyone know of any others? I'm sure that they will want to check out at least three books before they decide on which one to use for the classes.

I honestly think Michele Bousquet is your best bet especially for a classroom setting. Not to praise her but she's written over 20 books on 3D for every level of modeling and animating. There are others out there but her books are really easy to follow. Plus she is a really nice person.

I don't mean to be rude, but you might want to actually read the first post before replying. This thread is about what books to use in a college course and has nothing to do with self-taught stuff.
