Thanks from me too.. I'm up at my parents lake house in Pennsylvania for a weekend of fun and sun.
This way my dad gets to enjoying being grandfather to my son and my family gets to swim and avoid the bad weather back home.  ;)

hey grendalman.
and thank you.  you were talking to me, right?

my daughter (7) gave me a pencil holder that says 'worlds greatest dad' on it.  i looked at it and said, "thank you.  i really am, aren't i?"
she said, "no you aren't."  hands on her hips.
taken aback, i ingeniously replied, "what?"
"dad, they gave those to all the kids at school to take home."

I got a great card from my daughter.

On the cover was a picture of Superman's chest, big Red S commanding the stage.

The line on the cover read:   On Father's Day, DAD,  I just wanted you to know you've always been my hero.

Then on the inside it read:  Still, I never want to see you in a cape and tights.

And there was a sound chip, too:   After her recorded message (Happy Father's Day, Dad) ... it played the theme song from Superman the Movie.

Boy, was that fun!

This was a first for me (technically, as he's not here yet). It was good, though.
