Some of my custom characters have lost their skins. Only the standard skin shows. If I try to edit it and change the skin, the arrows below the skin display indicate that there are more skins, but it won't let me see but one. No problem with those that don't have anything but the standard skin. Right now, the problem meshes are Male Heavy and Male Shield. I haven't noticed others, but I haven't checked every single one yet.
In case you are wondering, the custom skins are safe and sound in their proper folders; the game just isn't reading them. They also look fine in Charactertool.
This might be an issue where you have some skins with TGA and some with DDS.
You might check if all the skins for a problem mesh are either all TGA or DDS. This causes the game to revert a mesh to the default skin (but usually only when playing the game-- the character selection screen seems to works ok)
I'm pretty sure they are all tga format. however, oen thing that occurred to me was to changethem to dds and see if that helped. I'll update later.
