Title: Need help for Exo-Man: Advice, Scope, Mesh, Something
Post by: daglob on May 12, 2008, 09:48:07 PM
I've been working on an obscure character named Exo-Man. He was created by Martin Caidin, the creator of The Six Million Dollar Man, and writer of Marooned and a lot of other stuff similar in many ways to what Tom Clancy writes today.

This is what he looks like:

This is my uncompleted version:

It is a hexed version of one of Tommy's old gold Iron Man meshes. The thing is, the area around the hips looks a little funny ( I mean funnier than the original). I tried un-hiding the skirt, but that looks funny too.

I am open to suggestions of alternate meshes (Heatwave is close, but not quite right), scopes, new meshes-anything I can get. I've played him as is and had fun, but I just don't feel that he is able to be released in his present condition.

I'll probably change the final release to the red and black version like the picture. Funny, thought, I still remember him as gold and red...

Not really any meshing advice, but was he a guy in a wheelchair, and the suit was originally made to help him walk?  Drove around with a "suit machine" in the back of a van?

What about using HouseQuakes Avitar mesh?  Male2heavy?  It should have the roundness you are looking for if you just use the helmet and skin the rest of the suit.
