Title: Help with a weird mesh display
Post by: CapAp on May 12, 2008, 11:08:06 AM
Hi guys. I am very much a newb at this mesh-n-skin game, but I am at least able to download people's designs and use them in my FFvs3R game. However, today I downloaded TexasJack's "wolverine_tj" mesh, and when I tried to access it, this atrocity popped up:

The picture doesn't do it justice. It's all skinny and streched, like a mister fantastic-erine. Trust me, seeing it rotate around and bob up and down is horrifying. Anyways, I need to know what is wrong and if it's something I can change, or something in the mesh file that I can't fix. Thank you to anybody who can help me!

The first question should be, did you run the mesh & keyframes through the converter at all?  That mesh in particular was designed for the first game, and some of those need to be run through a converter to appear and work properly in FFVTTR.  If you have converted it already, I've heard that a second (or perhaps even third) subsequent run through the converter fixes odd problems, so you might want to give that a go.  After that, I'll let other, more experienced individuals give you advice.  ;)

Ah, no I didn't. I actually didn't even know ABOUT the converter (heh)! Can you link me?

also, if that doesn't work, you can always use the newer mesh made by resident super mesher, renegade, which you can grab at the toybox (see the appropriate thread for links and previews and such).
