Copper Age did the original Libra; I believe it is available at one of the Copper Wire Yahoo Groups. Someone wold have to scope the new one to get the staff.

Lady Blackhawk is on my list, but I won't even start her until I get the problems with the new Question licked.

A couple of years ago I made this:
but never publicly released it.
Now, this was back when I still used other peoples geometry, so I'll have to update it (ie remake it with only my geometry in) before I can release her, and make a better skin.
But at some point in the next few weeks I should get her out. I hope...

Hey, works for me. I'd rather have yours than mine anyway.

Did anyone ever make Libra?  Despite his apparently muddled and mediocre (surprise surprise) use by Morrison in Final Crisis, I think the character has a cool look.

Libra is pretty sweet looking. I might try a take at him. But it'd be sort of my own look. And I'm not saying it 100% here.

Hopefully I can finish off Mr IQ tomorrow, though, and get started.

Hello,

After browsing half a billion of yahoo groups to see if someone made the Libra from Final Crisis for FF, i finally found only the old pre-Final Crisis version of this DC character here :
http://games.groups.yahoo.com/group/Copper_Wire/
or here , i don't remember exactly
http://games.groups.yahoo.com/group/Copper_Wire_2/

The old DC version of Libra, and it is very well done by copper wire, is this one :

As you can see, there are several design difference with the Libra found in Final Crisis.

So as i couldn't find anything about the modern Libra for FF, i tried to get some reading about NifSkope , used Hourman III from Renegade as a basis instead of the high boot mesh needed for Copper Wire Libra, i modified the texture from him to (very roughly) have some similarities with the FC Libra ...

and finally obtained this
(http://img179.imageshack.us/img179/4362/clipboard02wt5.jpg)

All the mini circular thingies around the Final Crisis version of Libra arms and legs, that's way too much leagues over my extremely poor beginner tinkerings, so i accepted that i just could not reasonnably expect to see them poping up there all by themselves :D

Now, the hood it is different, as it is there, it does not exactly fit my vision because the hood is shwoing too much of the face. And i think moving some vertice of the hood component should not have been nasa level equation solving, so i read some more tutorial about nif and gmax 1.2 , then tried to load the model/mesh there to see if could move some vertices of the hoods so it fall a bit down to the face.

But there, an horror vision as my import of the model made me noticing that all the mesh component were all separated and were not even aligned with the skeleton.

After figuring out how to move parts of the hood to get it falling down a bit on the face, i then tried to move back all the mesh parts to try to fit with the skeleton but it only resulted in an error message when i tried to save my changes.

Ok, so that is hugely more complicated than i expected, those people creating meshes are getting even more respect from me than they already have, and they already had a lot.

So i hunted for some hood from other meshes to see if one could do the trick.
I found none that was exactly what i hoped, and just resolved to use the Taskmaster (from Grenadier) hood.

His hood is a bit too big, but at least it hide more of the Libra face.
So i obtained this after more nifskoping :

Now you may point out that the guy does not have his scepter, and there i would reply that it is again way too much over my extremely poor understanding of those insane tools.

Well, as i am just unable in a decent amount of my free time to actually make anything better, as meshes and textures are not what i do or know to do correctly... at all, i leave it like it is.

So for people wanting a Libra-like character, but not finding any and who have even less skill (i doubt it is possible :D) in nifskoping/gmaxing/etc.. here is the version 1 (with the thin hood, but that does not hide enough of the face)
http://files.filefront.com/Libra+testrar/;11550223;/fileinfo.html

And here is version 2 (with the Taskmaster hood, not thin enough, but it hides more of the face)
http://files.filefront.com/Libra+test2rar/;11550236;/fileinfo.html

I don't remember which keyframe they have, but i think it could be the same one used for the hourman iii.

Both for FF , i did not tried yet ingame, but as the FF character tool has no problem loading and playing the animations, i imagine it will have none displaying it.

Of course all i did as you can see was just some tinkerings with nifskope and the textures, so all credits are going to Renegade for the Hourman III mesh basis, Grenadier for the Taskmaster hood, and Copper wire for the basis of the texture.

While waiting for some real competent artist to get a go at Libra, just enjoy this badly done imitation ;)

I actually did a quick skope of this, since I remembered I was going to do it some time ago. Started with Ren's Black Hand, so he'd have meshed on boots, except I found out the belt is part of the base mesh. Still... It also has animations set for somebody holding something. Threw on blitzkrieg's staff, and Ren's Noman hood and cape.

Should I skin this up? It won't be an exact copy of either Libra, rather a reinterpretation. Actually, heck, why do I ask. I made the skope, might as well skin it.

I started a skope as well on a VX mesh base.
