Title: What causes some parts of a mesh/skin to be purple?
Post by: SingleMalt on May 10, 2008, 11:01:17 AM
I get this sometimes and can't seem to resolve it.

It's caused by parts of the skin not working, or else missing.

Cat is correct, but I've found a couple of other instances when the same thing happens.

You can get it in Herotool2 if the Glow file is missing for those parts. Check the other skins in the skins folder and see if they have glow files. If they do, find one for a character that doesn't have anything glowing, and copy the file to the one that is displaying magenta, and see if it straightens out.

You can also get it intermittently if your computer will just barely run FFv3R and you graphics card doesn't like it.

Yes, I'm speaking from personal experince.

That would be one of the things I meant by "not working."  Also using a lot of .tgas in FFvTTR instead of .ddss,
