Somehow while playing as my Tank I lost my chat window. I still have my Global/Help/Combat channel but I don't have a chat channel.
Can anyone help me get it back? Do I have to create a new tab called "Chat" to retrieve it?

I think so, you could try
right clicking it and look for " edit tab" then add a channel on the right to the left
I remember having had this happen to me a while back. Unfortunately, I don't remember how I fixed it. Maybe next time I'm in-game I'll see if I can figure it out.
I never figured out any real solution to this, other than rebuilding it from scratch exactly how you described-- new tab called Chat, and fill it with the right channels.

I did it. When you didn't say "Hi" to me that one time I petitioned you for misuse of Chat.
