Title: help getting source sounds for voicepacks
Post by: tk on April 22, 2008, 11:31:41 AM
Does anyone know of and recommend software that can rip sound from dvds? The freeer the better.  I also need sound conversion software, like one that can turn asx to mp3.

For sound conversion, I use: Alive MP3 Wav Converter http://www.alivemedia.net/mp3wav.htm (http://www.alivemedia.net/mp3wav.htm)

and for DVD sound ripping, I've tried: FREE DVD Mp3 Ripper http://www.jodix.com/ (http://www.jodix.com/)

Thanks for answering my post and sorry to get back to you late.  I've been pretty busy.  Anyway, I tried the dvd rip software, and it seems to freeze while loading the video (not while ripping it).  At first a message would come up saying it couldn't find the source, so I did as the faq suggested and downloaded the K-Lit codec pack.  Now it just freezes on the window that says opening the source file.  Unless it takes longer than I have been waiting for.  Like a couple of hours?  It has no bar to let you know the download time so there's no way of knowing.  Do you know the answer to this problem?
