not entirely sure what it is, i'm about to try out the demo.
it's alright i suppose. i went ahead and got the full version. it's a match 3 sort of game. with i little bit of superhero rpg and hero sim thrown in.
Played the demo. Got a little addicted. Demo expired and I said to myself "Did I just waste an hour matching things?"
But at least The Corpse got to take down a gang of thugs, save the same old lady from a ton of dangers, AND get a sweet cloak.
So it's basically a superhero themed Puzzle Quest?
Might be worth checking out.
not sure what puzzle quest is, but if you like bejewelled you will like it. you actually get exp to level up and improve your stats by completing the various match 3 games. you get to fight bad guys in a competitive minigame. you can level up your base, and there are bosses.

Sounds EXACTLY like puzzle quest, which Is not a bad thing. Its like saying "they should make turn based Superhero games but no turn based Fantasy games". It's a good format for this type of thing, very abstract addicting gameplay with a layer of genre polish on it that makes it more addicting. Do you have actual powers like in puzzle quest?
In puzzle quest you get points of different colors and by spending those points you can cast fire jimmies that blow up gems or spells that put status effects on your oponent or stuff like that.
Yes, it does sound just like Puzzle Quest, although it sounds a lot shorter. 5 Missions or whatever? Puzzle Quest has hundreds of quests, companions, equipement, castle conquering, item creating and such.
But yeah, I still find it appealing.
Havent played very far, but no, it doesn't compare favorably to puzzle quest AT ALL.
Puzzle quest has a deep and overarching plot- Spandex Force is (so far) a series of campy random encounters.
It's a guy from Sweden I think that created it. I spoke with him by e-mail and it sounded interesting. Yeah, very puzzle oriented. It seems worth a look or two and is probably an interesting diversion with a superhero theme.

Ok, I did the one hour demo. I actually enjoy the random encounters and variety of puzzles but Im not TOO fond of the rest so far. It's a great idea and I would love to see it expanded a little but in the meantime I've got other stuff to play.
