Title: Grey Lantern? Problem converting meshes with auras
Post by: daglob on March 13, 2008, 05:24:41 PM
Just what it says. I just converted some GL meshes (John Stewart) from FF1 to FFv3R, and the auras in some of the animations are now gray. I had this happen before with Male Basic Aura, but that has been taken care of with nocapeman_aura. Is there and easy way to make the auras another color (like back to green for John Stewart), say with Nifscope?

I did check, and the aura lightmap is still green. I'm assuming that somehow it is no longer associated with the aura.

I didn't know where exactly to put this. The moderator can feel free to place it in the proper forum if necessary, and I apologize for the inconvience.

I believe that Renegade used a specific light setting for his GLs and lightening them on NIf conversion may, in fact, be the problem. I have not been able to fix it but I THINK that if someone NIFskoped a glow layer with a map then the color saturation could be changed so that it appears green again. Heck, maybe saturation can be changed without adding a map; I'm not sure.

Converting them again and not changing the light values solved the problem. It also fixed all the Female Basic Aura and Male Basic Aura meshes.

Thanks!
