That is to say that the Mrs Proto and I are having a baby! (Our first)

I have known about it since Nov, but was waiting to make the big announcement when we found out the gender.

It's a BOY!!!

He isn't scheduled to be born until Mid-August, and we haven't picked out a name yet.

A pro po "Spud" - in all the hospitals I've worked in so far, "Spud" is nearly universal slang among OBs for a newborn of either gender.

1. Sleep, get it now because when the baby is born you won't get sleep for 18 years.

There have indeed been a lot of babies lately. Raptorling, Bardling, 'Binka...ling(?) and now a Protoling.

See, what I figure is, by the time August rolls around, you all have forgotten about it, and it can be news yet again :D
