Title: '80s cartoons?
Post by: Jakew on February 28, 2008, 09:20:37 PM
Does anyone know where I can find any of the following skins/meshes/hexes/skopes?

Master's Of The Universe (I've found some by Ultimate Evil at Hero Force, but what about He-Man, Skeletor, Man-At-Arms, Beast Man, etc?)

Galaxy Rangers (I could never find the blonde guy ... Goose?)

UE actually did quite a few he-man skins, but they may not be available as of now. In fact, read his skin thread. He-man is one of the skins he asks if he should update or not. I also recall skeletor being done, but I don't remember where. UE probably did it as well.

I know for sure a good deal of the T-cats were done. Just don't remember where...

So what I'm saying is...I was basically no help to you. :P

EDIT: Fusion actually made a he-man mesh so it should be on his yahoo group somewhere. I'm pretty sure UE did a skin for it if he didn't do the standard.

I want that galaxy rangers Complete 6 disc set...and perhaps the Kellogs Ricicles Space poster.

I'll have to go through my archived stuff this weekend.
I know I have at least some of those.

Looks like Fusion did He-Man, and RedBackDeath did a hex of him with "new hair" or something (got an Iron Jaw skin for this mesh, too). I also have a TM_Conan mesh and skin that has a bonus He-Man skin. It is from the old Freedom Force center, and the hexer (Mike B7) doesn't have any info on it.

I saw Battlecat at Catman's site; I'm going back to get it when I have access to my brother's DSL again.

As much as I hated He-Man as a kid, I think meshes and skins of these characters would be very fun.  While I'm at it, anything to do with Thundarr the Barbarian would be GREATLY appreciated.

I've been quite happy with the He-Man meshes/skins that have come out thus far for Freedom Force... buuuuut I've been wondering if the newly released DVD set of the modernized cartoon might inspire some new skins and meshes too...

Sure most people are not thrilled with everything being "manga-ized" these days but I was quite happy with the new looks in this version. Heck I even picked up the comic book encyclopedia for future reference if a skinner might need scans but the 2nd issue was never printed because the comic and cartoon were cancelled.  :(

I think I've also seen some Silverhawk meshes too.  maybe it was Fusion, I know he did some Star Sheriff meshes, but I don't know what they are.
...
If were on this route i would like to suggest...

Which should be a given considering how much you posted about it (IE: skopes, meshes, etc.) and I just said a few posts up that you did a skin. I must be invisible some days...or you just suck. Either/or. :P  *runs*

Would someone mind posting a few links to the other Masters of The Universe stuff (aside from what's available at Hero Force)?

Were any of the He-Man skopes in the skoping thread released?

I've talked to people who have seen it; they were anime fans, though so I don't know if it ever went into wide release. I'm working on the original version from the 1940s, though.

I'm also working on Major Mars (or is it Mercury?), that is the comic book version.
