Title: Samurai Ink- Part 2 (Watanabe)
Post by: Mowgli on February 26, 2008, 01:23:22 PM
Hey there! I posted the pencils a while ago and I am still working on the ink for the three samurai. This is the second of the three, Ken Watanabe as "Katsumoto" (Last Samurai). I hope you dig it. Comments and crits are always welcome. Thanks for stopping by!

I like how clean you've applied your inks... reminds me of the art in the Choose Your Own Adventure Books I used to read as a kid. I'm guessing you used a pen exclusively for this piece (as opposed to a brush)?

I use Micron Pigma pens for almost all of my inking. I do use sumi brush pens for the larger blacks and a few of the larger hatching lines though. I just tried out a new I picked up in Tokyo on this piece. It's a very nice pen.

Thanks for the input Zuludelta!
