Not so much for the actors, but for who they're playing:

Deadpool and Gambit, eh? Not that I wasn't going to see this before now, but my interest level just shot up.

This sounds GRRRRREAT!!!
Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool!!! That's just wonderful casting!!!
superb personally it does hurt his chances of playing the flash, but he should be great
I agree!
QuoteHip-hopper will.i.am has signed on, as has Liev Schreiber, Danny Huston and Lynn Collins as, respectively, Sabretooth, William Stryker and Silver Fox.
At first I read this as that guy from Black Eyed Peas playing Sabretooth. But still, the fact that anyone would put anyone from the Black Eyed Peas in anything just makes me sad.

Hey! I heard Fergie wasn't terrible in Grindhouse :D
Hmm......Gambit in the movie? I'm now more curious than I was before!

I'm only interested if he gets the business end of Wolvie's (or Sabretooth's) claws early on. ;)

Those two plus Wolverine? Nope, not angsty enough. Make sure everyone wears black outfits with kewl stealth lines, and maybe add some spikes or something for good measure.
I'm interested in seeing how they'll pull of Deadpool and effectively tie him into Wolverine's origins. Deadpool is almost never serious and he breaks the fourth wall... a lot. I'd assume they'd make a bunch of random pop culture/important facts from this period quips and otherwise have him as a psycho, murderous, oddball. Unless he becomes more serious like his "ultimate" counterpart.
Also, what? No gambit love? He's only like one of the most annoying/confusing X-men ever! He's on constantly rocky ground with wolverine and he carries a bo-staff! Also, unless rogue shows up...we can expect no rogue/gambit love. That's a plus in my book. ;)
Aww come on! Yeah, maybe things weren't great in the comics, but in the TAS Gambit was absolutely awesome!
Gambit is the best X-man! I thought everyone loved him!

well you learn something new everyday then. personally i can't stand gambit or cyclops, and feel without there other half's they would be nothing of interest. hell slim only got interesting again when he started going with emma.
i'm with evil,i think the movie could do without gambit.wolverines intresting enough without guest appearances.i think triple h the wrestler would make a good sabretooth.i didnt like how stiff legged they made the sabretooth in movie 1.walked like frankenstein.
Count me as another Gambit hater. Damn but he bugs me. I mean, if your power was charging small items to make them explode, could you throw anything more pretentious and "kewl" than playing cards?
Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool is awesome though! I really doubt they'll have him break the 4th wall, but I expect funny & violent will be there.
Count me in the Gambit fan group... He's among my favorite X-Men along with Storm, Colossus, Iceman and Nightcrawler.
Why not just keep Tyler Mane?

QuoteAdd two more names to the ever-expanding cast of 20th Century Fox's X-Men Origins: Wolverine.
Variety reports that former Lost star Dominic Monaghan will play Barnell — aka Blackwing and Beak — while model-actor Daniel Henney will portray Agent Zero — aka Maverick — a member of the Weapon X program.
Ryan Reynolds will be great as Deadpool, if done correctly ... the guy is a pretty boy but one with a lot of charisma on screen. Danny Huston is good too ... although I would've preferred Brian Cox with some hair dye. Cox is a fantastic actor, and definitely turned in the best perfomance in the entire X-Men film series.
Will.i.am is blatant stunt-casting though ... I hate that.
Not a Gambit fan, either. But I guess they're trying to see how many characters from Wolverine: Origins they can spin-off into their own film franchises.

WTF? Dominic Monaghan is purty. Beak is ugly as sin. It's a horrific mismatch.
This makes no sense... was DJ Qualls (http://i.imdb.com/Photos/Ss/0215129/9) busy or something?.

Beak WAS as ugly as sin. He's pretty average joe now... depends on which version they use of him.
So does the supposed-Wolverine solo movie have more characters in it than X-men 3 yet? It's starting to seem that way...
I know there's a lot of Gambit love and hate out there but I look forward to finally seeing him in an X-Men movie. I have felt, though, that Gambit in the 616 universe has been responsible for more retcons than pretty much every other character in comic book history. These retcons were usually done to hype his character up as always having been there and that's pretty lame. His latest transition to Horseman Death was probably the only interesting thing about him in the past decade or so.
I really look forward to Deadpool though. I wonder if they are going to have Reynolds' voice or another actor's voice or digitally enhance his voice post shooting. Deadpool is suppose to have a very unique and unpleasant sounding voice according to the comics.
See, that's why I love him in TAS, he's just a good character, without all that story dabbling nonsense.
