Title: Best Buy and 360
Post by: TheMarvell on February 17, 2008, 09:14:04 PM
so my 360 has been acting funky...again, and I was going to get it exchanged at Best Buy with my warranty, but as it turns out they're all out of 360's in my area...and have been ever since Christmas. For unknown reasons, they haven't had very many, if at all, new shipments of 360's since December.

So I go across the street to Nebraska Furniture Mart. They have THIRTY units, all manufactured in January of 2008.

What gives?

I've been waiting for a while now to do this exchange. My 360 still works, but I have to reboot it 5 or 6 times before something shows up on the TV (it's very strange) and it's been doing this since I got a new one in November.

So I was wondering: since Best Buy can't honor my warranty due them being out of stock, will they let me have a full refund? (then I'd just hop on over to NFM and pick up a new one). Or am I basically screwed into waiting till BB gets a new shipment in?

is anyone else's Best Buys in their areas missing 360's for a while now? They aren't even available on BB's website...

Most stores out here (Edmonton Alberta Canada) were out of 360 Pros.  That was the hardest model to find.  I happened to snag a 360 Premium (the Pro plus the MUA/Forza bundle) from an unlikely store.
