So I blew out the adapter on my Wii when I plugged it into the surge protector instead of plugging into the voltage converter first....what had happened was that the cleaning lady came to my apartment (yes I have cleaning service, it's cheap here) and unplugged the Wii from the converter. I wans't the one who installed the system so I just plugged it directly into the wall socket and BLAM! Instantly fried adapter.
Anyways, I was looking for a replacement on ebay and they were selling for about $40. I thought it was expensive, but not bad. Just before I was going to break down and order one my friend told me she could get a replacement for 65RMB...that's less than $10! What a savings!!!! So I got the new adapter and everything works fine...turns out most Wii parts are made here in China...cool!
Just thought I would share my Wii bit of excitement.
I love Chinese Nintendo products. i just got a usb wifi adapter for my DS from hong kong for about 10 bucks, plus 10 bucks shipping.
