I believe that the generic hero meshes were re-named, like generic hero became male basic and generic heroine became female basic, but is there a list that says which generic meshes became which other meshes?
In the Custom Characters folder, look for custom_chars_note.txt. It's got a list from IG on what all of the generics got renamed to.
