My girlfriend has been accepted into a good college here in Boston and she will be moving in with me in a couple of weeks. I really cant believe that I'm living with somebody again, and honestly couldent be much happier about it since she's the prettiest, smartest and sanest girl I've been involved with. I just need to get over the fact that I'm separating her from her 4 billion year old cat but once we both get over that it should be smooth sailing.

You're a very lucky man. Congratulations. :)
Dig the boots! ;)
Much happiness to you both, Lugs!
Thanks... I need to spend some money I dont have on the plane ticket but the day is getting closer and closer.
I was in the same predicament once, and ended up in Canada... I'm still here...
I would urge you to use caution when taking any pictures at any library: all manner of scandals are contained therein.
Congratulations, lugaru! Best of luck with your new living arrangements. :)
EDIT: The Boston-area contingent of FR is getting more and more crowded these days. If we are not careful, we may end up the subject of a reality television programme and witness ourselves voted out of the Massachusetts Bay area one by one.

Congrats! Funny in the Other Games thread you seemed to be waiting for her to leave so you could finish Half-Life 2: Ep. 2...haha! Anyway, she is so lucky that she will be able to enjoy your cooking everyday! I'm jealous. ;)
I recommend his and her computers. I saw a couple do this once and I was awed at the genius of it. He played his games and she played hers and there was peaceful co-existence....the problem I've had when living with a love interest. In fact the next time i have a girlfriend move in the first thing I'm buying is an extra computer.
Good luck!
No need to invest, she's bringing her machine which I think is actually better than mine and I've got a sony Viao laptop too which I cant see myself selling. Only problem is that she's leaving her monitor behind so I'll probably have to give her my sweet flatscreen while we get her a new one, meaning I'll be using an oldschool crt one for a while. Oh, and her machine is crippled with Spyware, so I'm formatting that thing after backing up her files.
Just need to make sure the two machines are not within arms reach of each other...

Congrats and all the best Lugaru. Two computers eh? Sounds like you've thought of everything!
Epilogue: she moved in on monday, so far so good. Unfortunately the 'bachelorness' of the place is messing with her neat freak side but it's been fun.

hee hee. You only think she's sane because you don't live with her yet. Soon you will discover that there is not a sane one in the entire species.

I concur. Mrs. Proto and I do this. Even have seperate computer rooms (that will be changing in a few months, though...but that's a thread I will be posting soon.)
Oh, and...congrats, you crazy lovebirds :D

You might be coming home to a pink bathroom soon. LOL! I think its amazing how women can decorate a place. I'm a simple guy, I usually hang a poster here and there and that's it. My place looks naked compared to those of my female friends....and I don't know what to do to make it more..."festive".

Well duh, you just need a touch of whimsy.
Congrats, Lugaru! Mi señora moved to Boston to be with me, and five years later we enjoy wedded bliss together here. Not that I'm implying anything for
you. :D
Seeing as you are quite the astute gourmand, I have a restaurant recommendation for you two lovebirds if you ever feel like coming way out to the "suburbs" (Watertown, lol): I just ate at "La Casa de Pedro", a killer Venezuelan place that serves up authentic regional fare prepared to the highest standards (the sancocho will make you weep). Great atmosphere and live music, too (the waitstaff seems to be mostly primary Spanish speakers, which adds to the fun factor). It's also steps from the New Repertory Theatre, which makes it a perfect date night IMHO.

Fun fact: I had 100,000 Captain Spud piñatas manufactured in 2001, but found them difficult to move since I was universally loved and people just couldn't bear to hit an effigy of me. Obviously, I had to make myself feared and reviled if I was ever going to empty the warehouse; you have seen the results of that effort.
Apparently my brilliant marketing campaign has finally borne fruit. I shall make preparations to get my product on store shelves worldwide post-haste!
