And lo, spake the Spud: "Let There Be Gifting!"
There's no immediate rush if you're not done-- the gifting period is from today until NEXT Sunday. If you require assistance with delivery (file hosting and the like), please let me know.
(oh, and for the first time since this started, I don't have my own present ready to go on the first delivery day. My giftee will have to wait until mid-week. :) )
Well..I'll start off. My giftee was thehitman. I did a special skin for him on the Gl_Halv2 mesh. Behold the newest member of the Sinestro Corps..the Hawaiian shirt wearing Hitman (heh..tried to make a Hawaiian shirt pattern on the costume)
BTW thehitman, please PM me your e-mail so I can send the skin to you
Putting the finishing touches on mine.
I took care of mine but I dont want to put out spoilers until my victim recieves their gift in the mail. I did send it under pretty quick shipping, so it will be enough time for it to become feral and hungry but not enough for it to starve to death or break out and kill postal workers.

aww, c'mon. what's a few postal workers in the grand scheme of things. Or better yet, a few Fed-Ex/Kinkos people. GRRR!!!!!
I'm having some printing and shipping issues with my gift. So . . . either my giftee will be getting a slightly altered online and a hardcopy of it . . . or just a online version.
I AM NOT HAPPY!!
My giftee was FigureFan who I made a Christmas greeting pic (though I think I may have gone a littel crazy with the glitter... oh well, it's sparkly :D ). Here you go FF!
If you want to see how the base character came out without the package and hip replacement (so I could do the springee bit) I have a test render I can show you if you want.
Merry Christmas FF!!

That..is...so....cool! Thank you so much, Glitch. I love it. The glitter makes it more festive, no? Also, yeah, I wouldn't mind seeing the test render.
Flat-out-awesome.
As for my giftee, I'm putting the finishing touches on their gift. It should be ready by mid-week.
I had bought a model car for my giftee, The_Ultimate_Evil, but shipping to the UK will be a bear.
My victim this year was Thor Reborn, and my gift is a 3 pack of alternative avatars, since his look is quite new and afaik he has none
First a Micro Hero

An Rpg micro (done with Tanas base from RXMP)

and last but not least, an old trend from this forums a NEOPET

Supoib, Juancho!
Mine's still not completed thanks to hassles getting my new PC up and running, but I've spoken with my victim and they're aware of the delay.
Mine is going to be a tad late, partially because of my computer monitor causing me issues. I just now got it to work again, and it's about time to get ready for work.
Should be within a day or two.
Mine is also on its way. Should be done within a few days. Good work so far everyone!
Mine is ready to be sent out I just need to hear back from my giftee about their address.
Joyous Festivities of Getting, Juancho!

Spud: I don't know why, but I LOVE the face on that one.
TUE: I like the hood. It adds a different kind of feel, but I kinda like it.
Everyone else: is it just me or are there a LOT of delays this year?

Sorry for the delay :(

You need the dust cleaned out of it... blast those heat vents with compressed air and if you are confident opening up the laptop give the heat sink on the processor a good bunch of blasts too.
*Comes running in*
Hey guys...*pant* things have been extremely, extremely buisy for me lately, and I know it's not a viable excuse, but I'm going to be a tad late on my gift. It's about half- done sitting here next to me. Sorry for the delay.
Thunder- Wow dude! Awesomeness!! I really llike it! I'll PM my e- mail sometime in the next couple of days.
Well, gotta go *Goes running off, trips on something, gets up and runs again*
spud
I am just crying :D
Wow dude, that is waaaaaayyyyy toooo awsome to describe it, I just can't belive how lucky I am
Thanks man, you are awsome!!!!!!
Wow, sweet stuff Thor (and murs)! Thanks so much!
Uncle Yuan, your gift is on it's way; it'll be in before the new year.
And. . . after posting that my monitor promptly shut down and hasn't worked since. I finally bought a new one a few minutes ago after finding every one I wanted sold out thanks to the after Christmas sales.
Sigh.
Alright, NOW it will be just a couple more days. . .
I already messaged Spud...so yeah, mine will be a few more days, too.
Sorry everyone. :(
I have messaged my person regarding the delay with the gift I am shipping to them.
Sorry for the delay here as well.

As I PMed you already, I love it. The hood works. Can't wait to play around with it in the character tool.
I've been away for the past week, and I'm having more trouble finishing my gift than I anticipated, so, in fairness to my giftee (Thunder), as a placeholder gift of sorts, I whipped up this Thunder Abstract Art!
I'll get the actual gift done sometime in the next few days, hopefully.
My present is for Mr Hamrick.
But it's not done yet.
It IS on the way, though.
The time has just been not on my side, no matter WHAT the Rolling Stones say...
My apologies.
Ok, so I had to complete this project on battery power, which sucks because it dims my screen. I even sprayed the dust out of this thing and it still overheats. Turns out the Toshiba A75 series is prone to overheating. My new PC can't come soon enough.. <_<
Anyway, inspired by Spud's cool artsy Juancho piece, I decided to try that inverted line coloring deal myself. Here's the result:
Merry Christmas, Pwime!!!

Actually, AFAIK, it can't. There may be very few seconds between the time the system get the warning that the component is overheating and its burning death. (The alternative would be to get the warning when the temperature is lower and then have the time to pop an alert, I guess, but then it would shut down much more often.) :(
Thanks for the inerim gift Alaric. It's my new desktop. Take your time, I understand how crazy real life can be. lol

EDIT x2: That means I love it a lot, and if I do manage to find time to start skinning again, that is SOOO on the list. :D
I would also like to take this edit to let
Gday know that I am going to finish his gift, and really soon hopefully, but stuff keeps popping up and devouring my time. =| Should be within the next day or two though, I promise, and I promise it'll be good.

I'm glad you like it, lol. I was going to skin it, and may still do so as long as my laptop can hold up. Skoping is beyond my abilities, so I'll have to find a suitable mesh. I'm used to the way it was before all the 'new age' techniques came into play.
Okay, I have finally finished my gift to Uncle Yuan!
If you want a large version, just PM me your email or whatever and I'll shoot it your way.
Zippo, that rocks!
Indeed it does - I love it! Thank you very much!
Like a lot of folks, I too have been beset by technical difficulties. Technical difficulties coupled with calendarical difficulties. As I was on the last stages of finishing my present my soldering iron died. This was the Sunday before Christmas and my stained glass shop is closed Sundays and Mondays. Christmas was Tuesday and Wednesday we left for family celebrations. We returned Sunday, but Monday they are closed and today is New Year's Day. So, TOMORROW I will be able to replace my soldering iron and complete my gift.
And no, I can't just use any old soldering iron - I tried a decent one from the hardware store, but it can only hold heat long enough to run about a 1" bead. And a series of connected 1" beads just looks awful. The kind I need is somewhat over powered and has a large ceramic core that helps keep the heat flow steady.

Ok... got an e-mail from amazon UK saying there has been a delay. Grr... me thinking I was so clever for using the UK amazon instead of the american one (which would of charged me an arm and a leg and taken forever to deliver). That's not an accident. This pic, as well as others I have made throughout the past few years, has been creatively cobbled from existing Marvel Universe Handbook V3 pages. It takes some work to get the existing pictures to conform to the new people, but if you look carefully, you can ID where the parts are from.

...and stuff.
And either I'm beating up a midget, or I stretched to around 14 ft tall to make my bodyslam. That's actually a tactic I could see him doing.
Wow. I got my present yesterday and it was the best thing of all time. Mistah' Hamrick sent me:
Tomorrow Never Dies Special Edition DVD
A heap of awesome comic books including many ABOUT my favorite heroes AND from my favorite writers (Simone and Johns). Spider-Man, Action Comics, Outsiders, and Ever-Awesome Hellblazer.
A signed copy of the amazing singer/songwriter Kerry Wentworth - No Shoes Required, featuring amazing cover art.
A shirt from Treasure Bay Casino Resort in New Orleans. The shirt was won several years before the resort was damaged in hurricane Katrina.
A Resident Evil: Extinction hat from DragonCon (I went to DragonCon once and it was rad!).
From a friend of his: A Finlandia Vodka 007 Die Another Day hat. I really like 007 AND vodka (though instead of vodka martini, shaken not stirred, I usually go for cup of vodka with the taste attempted to be diluted with soda or vodka martini, vomited not stirred because I can't hold liquor).
A Gold's Gym wristwatch
From the mysterious kXn: "And Jabez Called on God...", though I'm not a very "biblical" person, the prayer of Jabez is one of my all time favorite passages because that was a man who knew how God operated.
Also from kXn: The Crow (a favorite comic book/movie) trading cards that feature really awesome artwork.
So yeah, I got the best Secret Santa ever. An infinity of thanks to Mr. Hamrick!

But only the ones that shoot at me and don't revere the Flying Spaghetti Monster like they should.
I meant the tactic of bouncing someone off the ground. Or wall, or car. Y'know, whatever is handy.
As for Edgar's picture, The head is from Frank Drake, the face and shirt is Green Goblin, the body is Chameleon, and the lower arms and hands mostly are from Arcade.
