after a pheeeenominal amount of argueing with my webhost, they finally gave me this little gem:
http://64.38.3.74/~unfluffy/v3/
they stated it would be at that adress for "a certain period of time" :banghead:
so get in while the gettings good

I'd point out the absurdity of having a bunch of smileys in a row like that(not to mention how boring it's become due to overuse) but really, this was my reaction as well

So, you were happy to the point of boredom? (http://home.graffiti.net/stumpyanker:graffiti.net/emoticons/emoticon-kidding.gif)
Anyway, I snuck in and grabbed a couple FX myself. Thanks, Syn.
Yes, it's nice to have "F-A" ( ;)) back if even for a little while. Stumpy, what magicks be you speaking of! There's no such things as fx on syn's site. Those are only in your head, silly billy.
...
Oh, some files don't seem to work, but...eh.

The Premonitioner FX page is fine. The link for the SYN's Black Death Beam FX is broken (it still links to the old domain). But it's an easy fix (http://64.38.3.74/~unfluffy/v3/FX/BDbeam.zip).
I know, sir stump. That was mostly a joke at the small selection of fx that made it on F-A (btw, i already have my own fx :P). But for clarification, I was talking about some of the skins such as rev's Valkyrie.
I figured you were joking about the FX, especially yours being there. I was posting in reply to the last "Oh, some files don't seem to work" part mostly to note the fix to the broken FX link. I included the earlier part just to clarify that I was talking about the FX and not any other links. ;)
Thanks for the head's up to get things off the site! There's so much there that I had to yank. I appreciate you hooking us up like that, UB.
By the way, if anyone has gotten Revenant's nazi/original skins, could you hook me up? (I wanted to grab that Valkyrie skin, too! It's a great design, along with the others.)
Actually, this is the first time i've seen the infamous Freedom Asylum.
Glad you were able to convince your webhost to put it up again. :)
I got to see some of the works by the other forum members here.
I'll be busy downloading them for a while. :P
Thanks Syn.
Wow, the stuff at Freedom Asylum was amazing. Thanks
for the link .
Asylum down?
Just when people think the joke is dead... it rises again!
But it doesn't work for me anymore!
Quotethey stated it would be at that adress for "a certain period of time"

So i guess the gettings aint good no more.
Is there a chance we see the stuff from electric freedom at a yahoo group like the gama patrol stuff?
Yeah i´m too late .
Damn. Hope I backed up my skins....
Dammit! I'm too late.
Couldn't Freedom Asylum be hosted at Freedom Force Forever by Catwhowalksbyhimself? Just like Hero Force 2.0. Just a thought.
Drat!! Too late also! Yeah, so how about hosting somewhere else?? Just a thought??
Hey I had a thought.....Why don't we host it somewhere else?
:paplease
Electric Freedom?
Anyway, Syn did tell you guys it'd be down again so you had about a good month to grab what you -really- wanted and store it somewhere. Let's not forget that sir conejo was having problems with his host before so I doubt there's a chance any of that stuff will be rehosted any time soon.
I plan on putting my skins into yahoo groups as a backup from now on... I think I might go the googlepages route to preview skins and then provide links to the group they're in...

I like that idea, but why not host the skins and hexes on the googlepages site and cut out the middle man? Even if you have more than 100mb of skins just make a second, similar page and link to it when you reach capacity...

Googlepages, last time i checked, has two restrictions. 100mb or 100 files, iirc. Personally, I think you should ask Cat for some webspace. Heck, join together with some other skinners/meshers/skopers, make this giant secret site, leave clues for everyone to ponder about, and then reveal it as Skinforce! Or...has that already been done before? ;)
what bunch of saddos would go through with all that......................................oh
Any chance of starting a Yahoo group in the interim?
