I am passing along a link on behalf of some members who don't want to be known until the curtain is pulled all the way back. They've been working on this and want to give people a chance to speculate on it before the reveal.
Check it out at http://new.begining2007.googlepages.com/home. Any guesses as to who is behind it?
(I am passing along the announcement, but I haven't seen more than you have.)
give us some clues
how old are we talking?
Gamma Patrol?
Electric Freedom?
Earthquake?
A terrible flood?
Locusts?!?!
IT WASN'T MY FAULT, I SWEAR TO GOD.
I've got no idea but I'm just glad to see another proof that FF exaltation is eternal (until now^^) :)
I doubt stumpy knows much more than you, sir thor.
I, on the other hand, am a previsionary and a premonitioner, so I've already seen what's to come and I refuse to play this game with mortals! Hmph...

I would start laughing my butt off if it was Freedomforcecenter.com returning from the grave! Anyone else remember that place? :D
Or MyFreedomForce.com!
If it's Electric Freedom, then I'll just feel a warm, snuggly feeling. Tehe.
Hmm..
I'm gonna say Electric Freedom. Freedom Force Center would kick so much arse, too!
"Why so serious?" :P
But seriously, folks, what sort of ridiculous retcon tarantella will we need to dance in order to bring this entity back from the grave? I swear that if this go round 'tis revealed that The Phantom Bunburyist is actually a clone of a deviant mutant Skrull incubating the Phoenix force and afflicted with the Legacy virus, I just might bugger off for good...no promises! :P

Noo, another lie!
I think i know what it is.....it's a new website from Take 2 games dedicated to the game freedom force. It is set to replace freedomfans.com as the official website for freedom force...they will be adding tons of updates and support for the game.New mods featuring further stories of freedom force as well as new meshes ,skins,fx and an upgraded mod tool will now be available for download too. Last but not least, they will also feature some promotional news of an upcoming 3rd installment of Freedom Force in the making, which will probably be due for release by late 2008 or early 2009.
A sloppy speller (or, to ruin my theory before it is fleshed out, a very clever person indeed), which would implicate a few of our number. If we add to this information that the individual is also likely to be a skinner (given that these clues are cross-posted in the Skins forum), the field narrows significantly...
Also I'd like to add: I'm just so busy, busy, busy...
Oooh! Oooh! I have a pointless suggestion! Pick Me!
<.<
>.>
The Skindex!
But anyway, in all seriousness, I have drawn three conclusions from this thread. Firstly, the fact that this is limited to the skins and general forums suggests that it is (at least primarily) a skin site. Secondly, if you'll read the bold portions of the following quote
QuoteI am passing along a link on behalf of some members who don't want to be known until the curtain is pulled all the way back. They've been working on this and want to give people a chance to speculate on it before the reveal.
Which, along with the quote "What was old becomes a new", suggests a former group site. I'd also take from the "What was old..." quote that neither Prev or TPB have anything to do with it's creation. If they had the quote would end in "becomes new" or at least "becomes anew"
Thirdly, I doubt "wwlkxryw" is the actual clue... it seems more like a code then a literal mix of letters
A code--why of course! That's it!
Let's see ... carry the one ... transpose the matrix ... apply the Santini transform ....

How did you figure it out, ggiant? Tomato probably had it figured out last night until I played the confusion game with him.
That is a really awesome site!!
Wooooooo
So I looked back at the clues and I have no idea how that all added up to HeroForce v2, but I'm sure glad it did. Great stuff, guys. I had a feeling that Podmark and AfghanAnt would be back, but I really thought TUE was done for a while. I'm glad none of you are. The site looks phenomenal. With this and Freedom Asylum up temporarily, I'm gonna be doing a lot of downloading.
Holy snap the site looks great!
This was one of my favorite sites back in the day, glad to see it back again.
Well now that the secret's out, I think I can point out a few things that struck me as odd that only a few people picked up on and some other stuff I noticed:
- Pod, AA, and UE all quit in the same week and were too busy to focus on FF content (and pod's pc broke)
- I found it ironic that those 3 quit and how odd that they all were members of GPL as well.
- All 3 of them also had google pages and TuE's goes down for the foreseeable future, eh? Not even he's that cold.
- Who else was hosted by GPL that immediately connects with AA? Ink and C6...another trio?!
- So, it's not too far-fetched to think that the old trio would be "replaced" by a new trio with one connecting member...like a comic, no?

Well more like stretched the truth. I did have a computer issue that made me unable to skin for a bit at that time. But it was no where near as bad as I made it out to be, and now my computer issues are the best they've been in over a year.
And I looked in to seeing if I could scrounge and old PC from my university to hold you over Pod, until you could get yourself an up-to-date model (It must be noted that I had no luck).

below w is a, so "ww" becomes "aa". Above "l" "k" and "c" are "p" "o" and "d" making it "pod" and to the right of "r" "y" and "w" is "t" "u" and "e" making it TUE.
so, altogether the code is "aapodtue"
Edit: Ack, I got beaten to it. So much for me being fancy...
And for the record, I had this nailed, but prem confused me with some insane Beyonder VX alliance garbage yesterday evening while my brain was in a pudding-like state.
