Best non-SSB Mario game ever. I'm about 40-something stars in and it keeps every level fresh and exciting. The design of the different planets is AWESOME. Anyone else play this bad mambajamba yet?
Mario 64 was the greatest game I ever played, is this anything like it?
havent played yet, but was amused that the guy who designed the game cover was fired because of the secret message on the case :O
Watched friends play over Thanks giving and well I think it's great... cannot wait to own a wii and this game.

Elucidate. Elaborate. Explain.
Plz? :)

Set all the letters from the title with a star in it in a row and you get a message
Anyways yeah I love this game, I'm not that far yet I have 26 stars. And while the game in my opinion isn't too easy it's not that hard either :P it's perfect. I only went game over a couple of times... like when surfing... I hate that level, I kept falling of the track :P. And then there's the level where you have to stand on a ball... I rolled to my death several times. And last but not least was the mole boss he was evil
Anyways I must say this is the best Wii title I've got.

fixed to keep the lines together,
and yah, thats what I was talking about, the distribution was simply too huge to do a product recall, I think the guy may be getting sued for this aswell as losing his job.
U R Mr. Gay?
what kind of message is that? Is he calling the consumer or Mario gay?
that's just retarded. At least the old-school Disney poster art with hidden phallic symbols, like on the one for Little Mermaid, was somewhat amusing. This just reminds me of some really immature message board troll...
"LOLLZ. OMG mari0 is so0 gayz lolol." Ugh.
actually despite rumour, the little mermaid poster was a complete accident, the rumour was a disgruntled employee was told he was being let go after the film was released, but infact he wasnt, and to this day is still doing artwork for disney

Heh, in fact the guy that did that poster didn't work for Disney at all; he was a freelance painter hired by an ad company which was employed by Disney.
[Coincidentally, I'm studying for my History of Animation Final right now. Seriously.]
Yeah, that whole rumor started because a little boy in Utah, (while watching a VHS of Lion King for the millionth time) told his mother that the flowers flying about in Lion King spelled out letters and he thought it was neat... she looked and thought she saw SEX. Coincidentally, she was the chairperson for a huge religious group and organized a boycott. This, of course, led to a committee that then tried to find sex in EVERY Disney film. Except the frames that sparked the whole thing didn't even spell SEX. If you look at the single frame this is present in it clearly says "SFX" aka Special Effects aka Special Effects animators aka the people who were animating the flowers flying about aka people who had a lot of pride because it's, like, the hardest job in animation to get. (or it was at the time; computers have since replaced them, sadly :()
Buuuuut back on topic: Yeah, I saw this game being played in my dorm and it looks sah-WEET! I really want a Wii basically for this game and Smash Bros :D

Yes, it's a lot like Mario 64. I agree about the ball-rolling being annoying but it isn't too terrible, you get a million lives and you do get it eventually, so it really doesn't detract much from the game.
As for the cover, I thought I was going to die laughing. I guess because it's so stupid that someone would do that.
I just got a Wii yesterday and it came with six games. One of them is SMG and I'm still trying to get into it because everything is in Japanese....good thing it's very intuitive. I'm having a hard time following the story so I may get a walkthrough.
BTW: The Wii is cool!
