Hi, I just finished the campaign and joined the forum. I spent the night reading up and I now have a bunch of character creation questions, so I'm not sure where to post.
1. Is it possible to tier the powers of custom characters without using the FFEdit? It really doesn't seem to be made to create custom characters.
2. Given that meshing is hard (understatement) for non-experts, would it be reasonable to, for example edit a wraith mesh to give it Red Son's melee attack animation and sword? Mix and match animation?

1. You can't edit custom characters with FFEdit and custom characters do not have tiered powers. If you want tiered powers and the normal power level progression that the built-in characters have, create the character as a built-in character with FFedit. (BTW, that was one of my first questions when I came to these forums, lo those many moons past. :)) EasyHero at Alex' Freedom Fortress (http://www.alexff.com) can help add a custom hero as a built-in character in FF and M25 has a tool (http://freedomreborn.net/archive/index.php?topic=42324.0) for that task for FFvT3R.
2. Whether that particular animation will work or not I do not know. But, I am pretty sure it is possible to copy some animations from one mesh to another. I think that is an operation best undertaken with NifSkope and it may be in one of the NifSkope tutorials.
